    Valentine's Day drink

Good Luck Lounge--- located on R street.. a must see place if you are in your 30's or older! This place is a vibe!!! The ambiance, the decor, the staff, all of it! Everything here gives everything a well oiled, vibe spot lounge would bring! It's something you would see in Vegas.. but it's here in the 916!!! Came on Valentine's Day for the live music-- and it was amazing! This is an intimate lounge that gives you immediate chills with the good music! The drinks here are amazing! I tried a few of the valentines Day drinks and none of them disappointed! They also provided the almost adorable snack tray-- with Carmel corn, conversations hearts and chocolate. All a must for Valentine's Day! The service was great and everyone was so nice!!!! I can't wait to come back to Good Luck Lounge and tell all my friends and family about it! I'm so happy to see a great spot on R street for the older crowd who actually has a 401k but wants to step out on the town!!!!

Rounding out my trifecta of Sacramento reviews is Good Luck Lounge. We bought lounge access as an add-on to the tickets we had for the venue next door, Ace of Spades. The lounge was a comfortable place to while away the time before our show. A singer with an amazing sultry voice covered Justin Timberlake, Amy Winehouse, & other early 2000s R&B; I wish I would've caught her name. We didn't check out their food menu, but the drink menu was reasonably priced. Pool table, plenty of cozy seat options, clean bathrooms -- Good Luck had all the relaxing amenities, & when it came time to enter the venue, we were ushered through a secret hallway which was very cool. Worth the price of entry.

Pretty cool new bar connected to Ace of Spades that just opened. Inside is beautiful. Plenty of seating. Live music by a DJ. Music was 2000's hip hop and R&B, the best if you ask me. Bartender was nice and helpful. Bar food is available but kitchen was closed by the time I got there. Sliders, wings, and fries were on the menu. Definitely going to be back soon.

Food: 4/5 Drinks: 4/5 Service: 5/5 Ambiance: 4/5 Seating: 5/5 Bathroom: 5/5 Good Luck Lounge just opened up this week, we decided to visit on a Saturday night. They checked our bags and ID at the door, then put on a wristband to mark 21+. It is beautifully decorated in an Art Deco vibe. There are lots of tables and seating and any section is free to take. The couches were very comfortable. The ambiance is great to hangout with friends and there's one free pool table you could use. Although, there was a DJ who was playing the music pretty loud so you do have to shout/project your voice to be heard. There are Women/Men Bathrooms. The Women's bathroom has two sinks (paper towels for drying hands) and three stalls. Personally, I don't drink alcohol often. For drinks, we ordered the Aces High which we could tell was crafted well with fresh lime juice but was not mixed well as the Tequila sat at the top. I ordered Fall From Grace which was good if you're looking for a spiced drink. For food we ordered Bar Fries with regular fries (you can choose Sweet Potato Fries) and it was delicious, would definitely order again. We also ordered The Three Street Tacos which were good but small. Overall, good food, didn't have too high expectations since it is a Bar Lounge. The customer service was fantastic. When we first entered, we were greeted by Aiyanni who let us know how the layout works and was very attentive and answered all our questions. Our server took our order and delivered our food/drinks in a timely order and was very nice. Overall, a great place to hangout with friends and order drinks.

My wife and I decided to hit Good Luck Lounge on our date night adventure. This place is NICE! A great addition to R street district.! It's located between Ace of Spades and Cafe Bernardo. Once you see the airport like security you found it. Haha before you entered you have to walk through a metal detector, have a thorough bag inspection performed and endure an airport like pat down. After, you pass all the security measures, they tie a wristband on your wrist and then you are welcomed in. THERE WAS NO COVER! Yes NO COVER! You can either choose to take the stair or the elevator. My wife elected to take the elevator. The lounge is an open concept with the Dj and bar on opposite sides of the room. Behind the Dj booth is a pool table and Photo Booth. The Dj was playing good music. The staff shared the music is hit or missed just depends on the Dj. This place has great vibe seating. They have a few couches, lounge areas, barstool seating and standing tables. Perfect spot for a group of friends, date night or just out with coworkers. The service is good. The waiters could be seen dancing and enjoy the vibes. The drinks weren't strong. Definitely could use a bit more alcohol. Lol My wife and I had a good time. We will definitely be back.

Perfect place to have a drink! We went before a show at Ace of Spades on Valentine's Day. Dimly lit and cozy seating. What a treat to have some live music as well, the lovely Lizzy Paris a treat to hear.

Went in on a Saturday night around 9pm but got really full by 10:30pm. The place is great, has a really nice dark vibe and the dj that night had some good music, lots of 2000 hits. Besides the drinks being pretty pricey, they were both really good. The sweet potato fries we ordered were super crunchy and had a nice cheese sauce which we really enjoyed. Our server was over the top! Wish I would've caught her name but she was super friendly and constantly checked on us. They did have a pool table, but we didn't get a chance to play as there was groups of people waiting. A lot of the lounge seating is also reserved, but it was a great date night spot for a some drinks. Will be back!

tl;dr: sheeeeeeeesh, it's the IKEA of lounges. Looks like luxury, feels like liquidation. A $20 cocktail at a lounge isn't crazy. A $20 cocktail in a plastic whiskey 'glass' at a lounge is crazy. A $20 cocktail plastic coupe is crazy. A $20 cocktail in a plastic highball 'glass' is crazy. A $20 cocktail, while sitting on a firm pleather chair, that's lighter than the plastic 'glass' in your hand, feels like getting told 'Yeah, we know you'll only be here once and we don't care'. If this place was not attached to Ace, I can't imagine it would be open very long anywhere else in Sacramento. We tried the One-Eyed Jacks, Pocket Kings, Dead Man's Hand, Gold Rush, and Fall From Grace; they were all okay. The Gold Rush was probably the most balanced and easiest on the palette, the rest were unremarkable but not bad in any way. When I got to the lounge, my friends were already inside. There was a line of roughly 15 people, and when I got inside, I was a tad shocked to see it mostly empty for how long the short line took. When I was on my way up the stairs, a few people that I saw walk in were already on their way out. The design of this place is neat, it does look like a higher-end lounge, but as soon as you sit down or touch literally any surface, you immediately know it was put together as cheaply as possible. Both chairs at our booth were wobbly, the seams on the booth were already fraying, the curtain to the booth felt like it was attached with metal shower rings. The vibe was kind of awkward, there was a DJ lost in his own hype in front of a sea of open tables and no one dancing. I see the appeal of coming here pre/post-show but I can't imagine I'd go back here otherwise. Credit where credit is due, the service was pretty quick once we ordered and the staff were all friendly. Thats it. That's the credit. Do yourself a favor and skip this place, walk a few doors down to Shady or across the street to Snug, save $5 and get a real cocktail in a real glass. Good luck, lounge, you'll need it.

Good Luck Lounge just opened in Sac and I got to spend time with my girlie! The lounge was very cute, I loved the aesthetic, though I wish I took more pics! They have a live DJ and a cool pool table. The drinks were overpriced in my opinion but nonetheless, still a solid spot that I will try again!

Me and my friend ordered a few drinks here and some food. Service was attentive to our needs and Julio, our bartender, was amazing. The ambiance is good for socialising and it was a great space to decompress after a workday. There is space to listen to music and there was a live dj. Decor is very warm and inviting. I appreciate that they they had a pool table and clean bathrooms, couldn't ask for more out of an establishment. Thank you !

This Lounge is amazing!! Plenty of room the food was very good and the vibe was chill!! Great to know it's open for free during the week. I will definitely be back very very soon

    J. Will made us the most gorgeous and personalized cocktails!!! My hubby never even drinks cocktails and was blown away tasting mine and ordered the same! So fun. Will be back just for the drinks and vibes. We had no expectations being the side bar to ace of spades but we will be back even as boring suburb people. All thanks to J. Will!

This is my first classic martini (unlike lychee martinis I've had before at other places). My server asked how I like it, with olive juice or with lemon twist or another option I don't remember. To be honest I don't know how I like it because it's is my first classic martini. So I was honest with him. I said I'll do whatever you recommend because I wanted to try a classic martini cuz I've been watching Gossip Girl. I felt silly admitting I wanted a martini because of a tv show. But my server actually did his research and found that Blair (a main character in the show) likes her martini with a lemon twist. And that is the martini I got. He brought frozen glass and poured the drink on the spot. It was such a vibe and a great drink. For food I got the grilled prawns. This dish is delicious and goes so well with my martini! For my second drink I got the shiso fresh. I was debating between two drinks and asked my server for suggestions. He is absolutely right with this recommendation. Shiso fresh is refreshing and sweet but not too sweet. I loved it. Service is wonder and drinks are tasty. I can't wait to come back!

Outside of that event, every time I've come in as part of the general public, it's been a positive experience too. The crowd is usually full of young professionals, and it definitely gets packed -- in a good way. The vibe is lively, stylish, and social. I remember seeing it mentioned on the news too. I got there when it opened at 7pm so it was pretty quiet, but I got a good feel and vibe from the place. The manager also interacted with me and told me that just last night, the place had some popular DJ and packed the place in. He showed me a video of what the scene looked like and all I can say is wow (in a good way). The best way I think I could describe this spot would be a more intimate Las Vegas night club on the strip while not compromising the quality of cocktails and providing a multi-sensory experience of lights, sounds and energy. I left when things started to get busy but I am confident in saying that you won't be disappointed and feel like you got your money's worth for sure.... especially when they will be having events there. If you get there shortly after it opens, I think you can count on more of a lounge sort of vibe. When it starts getting later or there's a DJ spinning (especially a well known one), then the place turns into an upscale nightclub. Circling back to my experience, I tried their "Plot Twist" cocktail which consists of things like bourbon, lemon, honey, fig jam and walnut and it was one of the best cocktails I've had in a long time. Nicely balanced, smooth, inviting and little to no bite. Just a damn good cocktail that I really enjoyed. There were three bartenders there which were Karla (who made my drink), Ian (who made my second drink that I can't remember what the name was), and Danny. They were all really nice, fun and outgoing bartenders that made me feel welcomed while also maintaining a fun demeanor. I asked if it was ok with them to take their pic since some people don't like that and they were cool with it. The bar seats being a little small were surprisingly comfy and tested out the lounge seating which is also comfy and provides perfect views of everything going on (in case you ever want to reserve a spot). There is no bad seat in the house, the music system is very clear with high end audio, and overall you can tell that a lot of thought and effort was put into this place by people who know what they are doing. A couple of other things to note is that the menu they have on their counter does not display all of the cocktails. There are more on their website which you can look up by going onto their website. When they are in their busy hours, you can reserve spots and get bottle and I think that if you know it's going to be a busy night, it will be worth it to do with a group. There will probably be a door charge later in the night so be prepared for that, however I did see on their website that they do have a guestlist so take advantage of that! They do have a dress code so when in doubt, just dress to impress and you should have no trouble getting in. The average cocktail is around $15 and think it's reasonable for the kind of cocktail you will be able to get. Archive is open on certain days so be sure to double check that they are open before going. Ultimately, if you haven't been yet, this is one place you should definitely check out at least once. If you're more into the lounge vibe, get there early. If you're more into the clubbing vibe, get there a little later or check out their events for the ultimate experience. I will definitely be back and this place is raising the bar on K Street and whole area. Oh yeah, and lastly, they do accept tap to pay including Apple Pay, Samsung Pay and Google Pay as well as credit/debit cards and cash. Thanks for the great time guys!
