We stopped by Legend Tasty House during our visit to Chinatown. We selected the coconut rolled ice cream and the Thai tea boba. The staff were friendly and quickly got us our order. Both the ice cream and Thai tea boba were excellent. There are a lot of tables available for seating! Overall, I'd recommend checking out Legend Tasty House for a sweet treat!

I have been dying to try a rolled ice cream establishment and FINALLY..... TODAY, I got my ice cream and it did not disappoint. I had the #7, Dream Tiffany and it was delicious. I will definitely be back.

Yum Yum, and Yum again! If you're looking for a sweet tooth after running through Chinatown, this is a perfect place to go! Ice cream & drinks made available to order and I decided on Oreo based upon the cashiers recommendation. Loved it! When I'm back in the area I would love to return to try them again!

I was in China Town. Ice cream here looked colorful and delicious. I went for a Magic elf. It was a new flavor with Oreo and Taro. Ice cream was delicious. The place was modern.

Wow! This was our first time trying rolled ice cream! We stopped by a shop in Chinatown, it's right next to another rolled ice cream shop but we chose this one. Once inside you can order from a machine in the order or at the counter. There is a small bar to sit or several tabletop options. The menu is extensive including a variety of rolled ice cream choices, some with fresh fruit. The shop also has boba tea. The prices were more than $7 but the serving size was large, so we decided to split one. We chose the Oreo ice cream dessert. Once ordered, the employees had a cup of cream and Oreos and put on a frozen block. They chopped and spread the ice cream many times until it reached the perfect consistency. It only took about 2 minutes. Then when ready, they spread it thin and rolled it into lines and put in a cup. I expected regular ice cream but oh my, it was so rich and creamy! A much deeper rich flavor than regular ice cream. We're hooked! A must try and would recommend this shop.

Very cramped takeout spot, but I can see why everyone was in there! A ton of options for rolled ice cream. There is just one size for everything, so make sure you really want ice cream. The service was incredible. The system they had was amazing from the ordering to the prep in the back, to the rolling and topping. Everyone worked so harmoniously and efficiently. We ordered a mango dragonfruit, chocolate party sundae, and jasmine milk tea boba. Everything was very good!

Friendly staff that helped me decide on what to get, which was the Perfect Pair. It had mangoes and strawberry slices on it, fresh pieces of fruit that paired well with mango and strawberry rolled ice cream. The mango was nice and tart and the strawberries were sweet. Huge portion of rolled ice cream as well.

Best roll ice cream I ever had. The ice cream is so good. It is pricy but worth every bite. The menu is huge. This place gets packed. Service is fast! Highly recommend if you go to China town.

Stopped by here after dinner in Chinatown. They have a bunch different flavors and combinations and you can even make your own. Nice ambience and you can watch them make your ice cream as you can at most of places like this. Once you figure out what you want, you can order and pay and then pick it up at the end of the counter. You can change anything you want in your selected flavor combination as well. We ordered Starry Sky (dragon fruit and passion fruit) and two Strawberry Love (strawberry vanilla) without any of the toppings instead added mochi and gummy bears. They were a big hit. The ice creams were creamy and soft with excellent flavor. The store was very clean and the staff were very helpful and professional. The average price for an ice cream was around $8 which seems on par with other ice cream places. The kids really enjoyed their ice creams and if you are in the area and want some rolled ice cream, I would give this place a try.

Love this place!! They have a large variety of rolled ice cream flavors at a fraction of the cost (around $6-8). So affordable!! I got the Oreo rolled ice cream, and they completed my order within a few minutes! They are incredibly efficient and have a lot of chefs behind the see through counter, so you can watch them making your rolled ice cream in action! Perfect for a hangout or a quick dessert after a meal in Chinatown.

the ice cream was so yummy and all of the names of the different rolled ice cream flavor options were super cute. i can see why this place is so popular

This spot was amazing!! We all moved back from Shanghai a couple years ago so naturally we had to meet at a Chinese spot and this one did not disappoint. We got soup dumplings, beef braised Taiwan noodles, pan fried dumplings, wood ear mushrooms, baozi and crab rangoons. We left nothing behind and even ordered more. Love that you can order at the kiosk and then sit down and wait for your number to be called. Highly recommend this spot to anyone in the area!

Indeed, this spot did not let me down! It is a small Thai restaurant in West Loop, with a large menu featuring monthly specials and quite a few dishes I rarely find in other Thai restaurants in U.S. For food, we ordered the following: 1. Khao Ka Moo: a stewed pork hock platter served with rice, pickled mustard greens, shitake mushrooms, sauce (similar to soy-sauce) and egg (which I opted out). It was my first time to have pork hock in a Thai restaurant. The meat was juicy and the skin was mouth-melting. Highly recommended. 2. JJ Tiger Cry: Basically grilled ribeye served with Thai style sides. The ribeye was cooked at ~medium well. I wish it could be a fattier cut and cooked for a shorter time, but my friend thought the temp. was perfect for her. It was served with a Thai sauce and cabbage+carrot slaw. 3. Green Curry Chicken: my sister's entree. The curry tasted refreshing and flavorful. It was also great that the dish came with both rice noodles and jasmine rice, so you can try both of them -- indeed, the rice noodles, after soaking it in the green curry, tasted heavenly! 4. Yum Hed. Grilled mushroom salad. There were shitake and king oyster mushroom. Served over a bed of fresh lettuce and a kind of spciy, sour sauce. Great as a side. 5. Guay Tiew Tom Tum Koong: Shrimp and rice noodles served in a generous bowl of Tom Yum Soup. It also had much veg. Unfortunately, I am allergic to some seafood so for safety I did not try this dish. Overall, the dishes are of medium sizes, but definitely enough for us. Service was friendly and quick. I may try more dishes the next time I visit Chicago.

The food was completely underwhelming, and when we shared our concerns with the staff, nothing was done to address them. The service was equally disappointing. Our server spent much of the time sitting on her phone while we waited for basic service like water refills, being asked about drinks, and receiving the drinks we ordered. We repeatedly had to get up and find someone just to receive attention. As for the food, the gyoza was bland and tasted like unseasoned pork. The lemongrass beef stew curry, which was highly recommended, arrived cold, had an odd texture, and lacked any real flavor. Most shocking of all were the drunken noodles. I've ordered them countless times over the years and always considered them among the best in Chicago. This time, I couldn't get past a single bite. Every dish was left unfinished. We didn't finish a single plate and didn't take any leftovers home--something that never happens for us. Between the poor service and incredibly disappointing food, this was an awful dining experience from start to finish. Unfortunately, after being a longtime customer, I won't be returning.

(Unfortunately, the sidewdalk is sloped, so the tables are sloped.) C and I order shumai, which in my experience, is served as an appetizer. Our order didn't arrive until after the main course was served. (Note to self: Next time order the main course after the appetizer has been served.) Cuisine: 4 stars - We ordered Basil Rice, to share. The flavor was different than what I have been served elsewhere. More sour than sweet. I think a better balance between sour and sweet would be better. Also, elsewhere, the rice and ground chicken are served tossed together. Here, the rice and chicken arrive on separate plates. It's difficult to mix sticky rice and chicken on a flat place. Nevertheless, the meal was completely acceptable; just a bit different. Service: 4 stars - The server was polite and friendly. Ambiance: 4 stars - We dined outside, but the interior looks nice. It's really nice to find a Thai restaurant with outdoor seating. What to know: It's BYOB (a plus) and does not accept card; only cash. For me, that's also a plus. Would I return? Yes.
