This hair salon is amazing! It's very clean and it has great customer service. Lauren Severino fixed my badly botched damaged hair. It was such a mess. I had so many different colors and it was so brassy. My old cut was also terrible. After Lauren fixed my color and cut, I felt like a brand new women. No more hat for me! Lauren made time for me and explained everything that she could do and did it! I was pampered. It felt so good. She recommended this great shampoo and conditioner. I moved to OC a year and a half ago. One of the toughest things about moving is finding the right stylist. I'm a picky client....I color my hair red/auburn which can either cone out beautifully or look like Bozo the clown. I also have an A- line cut which is high maintenance and can be done right or very wrong. I visited a couple different salons and tried some different stylists. No one could get my color right.....and I was starting to consider moving back to San Fran! Fortunately I met Christian who is a pro at color and gets it right every time. Even when I ask at the last minute to pop some highlights through the front. He's got my cut nailed also. I can't tell you how many times I walk out of the salon and get a compliment on my cut, color or both that same day. Recently, when i was due to get my color re-done and was feeling kinda "rough" a woman stopped me in the checkout line and said, "wow! Your hair color is gorgeous!" Even 5-6 weeks in, Christians work gets compliments! He is extremely flexible with scheduling - I'm very last minute and will text him a few days ahead for an appointment. Luis is fantastic! I went to him after a hair disaster with another stylist in Corona. Let me just say that Luis saved my hair. I loved the color and cut he gave me! Awful customer service! Made an appointment with Rocko at the receptionists recommendation, upon arrival was informed he was running late and would be 15 min behind schedule. No big deal but after 30 mins of waiting was told that he was still busy and he couldnt see us. I was told "he doesn't see new clients" as if it that was my fault for making an appointment with him and was told it would be at least an hour if I wanted to wait on anyone else. A friend recommended Dana to me and I am VERY pleased with my hair. She is so fast, so nice, and great with blondes! I had been living in Puerto Rico for 6 months, without getting my hair done, my roots were terrible! LUIS IS THE KING! I have lived in Ladera Ranch for 3 years and never knew about Ladera Legends. I saw them on Instagram and was intrigued by recent cuts that Luis had done. I had been growing my hair out for a few months and looking to do something different. With curly hair I dont have many options other than short or fro. I gave Luis a chance last night and knew that if I hated the cut I could go home and shave my head. Not only did I like it, I love it! Luis was extremely patient, personable, professional and down to earth. It was honestly like hanging out with a friend. You can tell that he prides himself on the finished product and treats your hair as if it were his own. He took my curly hair, relaxed it and gave me a fade. I have never had straight hair or a stylist take so much pride in knowing they could do something that I had not tried before. My Wife loved it! Bottom line, Luis is the man. I have never been disappointed. She is a skilled professional in every sense. I never stress when I'm in her chair. Recently I decided to do hair extensions, and I've been seeing Jade for my extensions. She is the perfect addition to my hair journey. My daughter referred me to this salon, and I'm glad she did! I love that they call to remind me of my service, because I always forget. When I walk in, their staff greets me promptly and tells my stylist I've arrived. I always get a color and some type of trim, and I've always loved the results. I really like the professionalism when I'm in this shop.. Someone commented on price, but it's about average in my mind for a salon with established stylists, and for this area. I especially love Jessica, my hairstylists. She gets me in and out, and that's what I want. I don't like stylists that work on several people at one time and i get stuck waiting in line. After my regular hairdresser went MIA on me a year ago, my dad recommended Nicky to me. Let me tell you, she is amazing! She is the ONLY person I trust with cutting my hair. She seems to know exactly what I want, and isn't afraid to put in her opinion if she thinks a style is too drastic. I did get my hair dyed be her once, and while it turned out nicely, it was quite what I wanted. That would be the only negative. Beautiful salon, incredibly kind staff. However: I came in for a basic cut, I knew exactly what I wanted and expressed that. Luis, my stylist, cut me off to express his own dream for my hair. An angled cut. I said no, I want a lob, just a basic lob. Instead, I walked out with a sixties looking bob, and layers I didn't want or ask for. He started putting them in without my permission or knowledge, and they looked ridiculous. My day had already been terrible and this was the cherry on top. Now, I get to wear my hair half up until my terrible, unwanted layers grow out. Customers beware: only come here if you want a "unique" cut, or are willing to let the artist chose your style. My hair has still not fully recovered with how badly this place destroyed my hair when I asked for a light auburn brown and they died it black instead and then refused to help dye it the correct color. They gave me my money back but that doesn't even half make up for the money Ive had to spend to get it slowly back to the correct color and the conditioning treatments from the damage of them leaving me under the dryer for 40+ minutes. I have found my new stylist. Amanda Rose is amazing. I called in on a Sunday and expected everywhere to be closed or completely booked. Called legends and I booked the last appointment available at 5. Came in at 5 for my appointment with Amanda. I did have to wait a few minutes since she was just finishing a client but she was very attentive to me even while tending to her other client. Once I got in the chair I let her know the look I was going for and she was very knowledgeable on how to achieve it. We ended up being the last people in the salon and she kept making sure she wasn't keeping me. She stayed late to finish my hair and I absolutely love it. I do have to go back in a few days to finish the look and give my hair a rest. But I will definitely be back for all future hair needs. Legends better keep Amanda! read more

We (my wife and I) moved to the area and have tried to find a place we both could go that did a good job, was reasonably priced and was flexible for our crazy schedule. I highly recommend this place for anyone we wants a great experience. I just moved to the area and was looking for a good place to cut my hair... I called them and they told me they charge 50$ for a hair cut and style on your first time and they schedule me with Luis... i took a picture of the style i want and i explained to him that i don't want visible layers and please cut more than 2 inches..... he said i will put few layers where u want even notice them.....and he curled my hair .. First of all he charge me 70$!!!!!! Then after i washed my hair..its all chopped up in sooo many layers... nothing like the picture and all my hair is basically layers and it looks so thin at the ends..... and my hair still long ... ya he did cut more than too inches from all the layers that he made that i didn't want at first place but the length of one the layers is still long like how my hair used to be ....i am so upset that and cant believe that my hair looks like this now and i paid 70 to destroy my hair like that.... will never return there again or recommend for anybody read more

This is a nice place with plenty of parking. The salon is friendly but it can be difficult to make appointments with them. The wait time is around 15 minutes which I guess is acceptable because some appointments tend to run long. Very reasonable for a salon and very friendly employees. Danny cut my hair and he is a great guy. Super nice and very good at what he does. I love the fact that they are in walking distance from my house here in Ladera. I will definitely be coming back! I've been going to Legends Ladera for a about 6 to 7 years now. I see Mishel and she does the utmost fantastic job every time. Prior to going to this salon I was visiting a new one practically each time I was getting my hair done. Legends Ladera is and will always be my salon, unless of course my hairdresser moves locations. Because ultimately, she is why I get my hair done there. The front desk is always friendly and even when the hairdressers are sitting there, they always greet with a warm welcome and let your stylist know that you've arrived. They offer great products, including the one I use everyday, Purology and they also have coffee, cookies and water to offer.
