I had a really good experience with this body shop. They made the whole process super easy and took care of everything from start to finish. My car came out looking amazing, honestly better than it did before. The quality of the work was top notch and you can tell they really care about what they do. One thing I really appreciated was that my insurance didn't include rental car coverage, so I was expecting to be without a car while mine was getting fixed. Instead, they gave me a free rental so I wasn't stuck trying to figure out transportation. That helped me out a lot and took a lot of stress off my shoulders. This place is an absolute scam. Please avoid at all costs. Do not be swayed by the good reviews here or on google. They are absolutely tow bandits. Was in an accident and what I thought was a nice person stopped to give me dash cam footage was actually a plant. We got a scam text pretending to be our cars emergency service, but in reality it was the scam towing coming to get our car. They took the car from the scene and wouldn't answer our calls until their body shop was raided. They claimed it was an audit, but they wanted us to release the car back to them but thankfully were able to get our car out of there. But they wouldn't have released the car to us otherwise. So thank god for that police raid. These people will charge you thousands to get your car out for bullshit charges. There is a special place for those who pray of victims of accidents and then try to extort them. And to the man who stopped and made me feel better about my accident, shame on you. After I was in an accident I was immediately called by an SOS number saying that they were with AAA and received an emergency signal from my car. Not sure how AAA knew immediately, but I gave them my location and a tow truck driver came immediately to tow my car. Come to find out it was not AAA that towed my car, but a bandit tow company that drove my car to Legends auto shop. Legends then proceeded to extort my insurance company with extremely high towing and storage fees. It took over a month for my insurance company to get my car released from this scam company and they ended up paying them well over market price to get my vehicle out. Now karma has been served as Legends auto was busted by the LAPD in a recent sting operation. These scammers work with predatory bandit tow companies that pretend to be called from your insurance company. They prey on confused and disoriented drivers ask them to sign documents so they can extort you and your insurance company for high tow and storage fees. Absolutely avoid at all costs and never allow any tow company to tow your car unless you call them yourselves. read more

Called him and told him they were from the Dealer that sold him the car and they had received an alert. After we got the car back from LAPD impound lot we spoke to others that were also scammed and had letters from Legends demanding more $$ than the insurance company had paid. All a scam!! read more

Avoid this place at all costs.! If you got hit, and someone comes up to you saying they saw the accident and then they say they have a video or information and they want to send you the information via txt that's the first red flag. That first "witness" wants to pretend to send you that info so they have your number. Then they send it to someone they affiliate with then that "affiliate" that will refer themselves to a certain "road side assistance agent" will call you and they say they got an alert from your vehicle that it got hit and it sent an alert. That "agent" then calls a tow truck. This person goes by "ALIS". His tow truck name is "Proper towing and transport". Btw this guy showed up to the scene fast! Like super fast. He then goes and takes the vehicle to this shop legend auto and meter and they say they have everything ready to go. They almost make the whole scenario and procedure so smooth that it's too good to be true. So my wife shows up with the driver there and they have this "money is to be made from this scam" attitude so they offer a car that is declared as her rental. But if you been in an accident you know for a rental, you most likely go to enterprise, rent a car, or any other rental spot. They don't just have a car on standby in their shop for you to rent.. and to top it off they claimed they had this C class Mercedes for her. all while she was going thru this process and she was letting me know what was going on. I did my research as well. They are scammers. They plan an accident not too big to cause major harm or commotion but enough to make you panic. The tow truck they use doesn't have any USDOT numbers, no MC or motor carrier displays, or any CA. They are unmarked. Which in the towing world, picking up vehicles with no ones consent or police being present that is called "BIRD DOGGING" that's illegal. So just for the record. I knew the plan they had as I quickly caught on and I told my wife to leaves take her car keys first and hold on to them and say she's just going to deal with our own insurance and they were very upset we didn't give them the business and it almost seemed like they wanted to force my wife to leave her car there.. and also they decide to record her as she leaves the shop. For what reason. I have no clue, but I can sure say this, it's getting investigated for sure. read more

This operation is total fraud, My car was involved in an accident in Hollywood on Sat. At 11 pm, this tow truck showed up in 2 minutes and towed the car. Without my approval the car was taken to Legend Auto . I called Sunday to get my car and they said they are closed .Monday I went to get my car , they charged me $2300 for 2 days storage and tow. Alex forced me to pay $2300 in cash ,otherwise they would not release my car. Alex would not even release the name of the tow truck driver. Apparently their tow truck drives around Hollywood and as soon as there is an accident, they pick up the car and tow it to this place, and charge these illegal fees. If this has happened to you, file a complaint with the city of Van Nays, city of Los Angeles district attorney's office and also the Bureau of Automotive Repair. If you do not get your refund you can take them to the Small Claim court . read more

Almost killed meAfter 2 years of holding my car they gave it back to me with a major gas leak and told me it was just the smell from sitting around for 2 years. - They kept my car for 2 years after I paid $5k in cash to get it repaired - They added damages to it (see b4 and after photos) - Drove it without the licence plate and crashed it - tried to force me to do an insurance claim I didn't want to do - left it parked outside accumulating tickets until it got towed totaling $2200 in tickets and towing - released it after 2 years (25 months) with still broken parts to get fixed I asked about the smell many times because I was heading to my home in Las Vegas and wanted to make sure I would be safe on the 5h trip. They told me it was normal. I didn't feel safe so I took it straight to Mercedes Keyes and they told me I could have exploded on my way to vegas because of the very bad leak. After playing me for 2 years and me threatening to sue them for all the cost accrued in 2 years (2 years of car payment and insurance, registration, car rides, having to buy a new car etc) I flew in to LA to pick up my car the day they said would be ready after 2 years of wait and each day they said one more day until 9 days later with hotel fees and missed work etc Now I have a $2500 Mercedes service bill to add to all the cost incurred and I have to stay in LA FOR ANOTHER WEEK UNTIL Ly car is repaired by Mercedes. I tried to work things out with Alex but he ignores me and tells me to go forward with lawsuit. It's so unbelievable ! Alex is a very bad person. read more

These people are pirates, my wife got in a car accident and was contacted by a person who was impersonating a Lexus protection plan representative" they sent us a text referring this shop and we fell for the scam and had them tow our vehicle. Little did we know we were being played. I talked to my attorney and he immediately warned me about scams such as these. So my wife went to get our car out. After speaking with the owner of this buisness, he said they don't charge any fees for towing or storing the vehicle. But as my wife was trying to take out our car, they got angry and tried to make us sign a power of attorney to get money out of us. We decline to sign and so they charge my insurance $1500 just to get the car out. This guys are professional scammers and send their people on the site of accidents and trick the people in saying "they have dashcam footage of the accident" so that they can get your phone number to then contact you impersonating some insurance company. These people are a bunch of scammers!!!! I was in a car accident and immediately 2 guys came up to my husband and myself saying they have a dashcam and have a video of the whole accident. They got our number to send the so called video and instead called us as Lexus protection plan SOS and where so convincing that we actually went through a process of towing our car to get it inspected and fixed for us. We recently found out it's a scam and they were going to hold our car hostage for 3-4 weeks now we have to pay over $1,000 to get it back. It's only been sitting for one day. I'm fuming!
