I was hit on Sunday, April 6 at 9:27 PM; at 9:30, I got a call from a spoofed number, identifying themselves in a subsequent text as "Chevy (SOS) ASSISTANCE SERVICES". They may have hacked my OnStar, or a somewhat sketchy "witness" may have overheard me give my number to a genuine witness -- unsure. Anyhow, a truck from "Proper Towing & Transport" showed up soon after and took my car to Legends Enterprise (without giving me a copy of the paperwork, though I did take a photo). Meanwhile, I'm on the phone filing a claim, and decide I want to get my car fixed at a different company instead. Legends tells my insurance it will cost about $3500 to spring my car free. Itemized: $500 for the tow, $250 for processing (paperwork and photos), $250 after hours gate fee, $250 to clean up a fluid leak (there was no visible leak at the time of tow or when I inspected the car on April 15), $300 forklift fee; $200 to relocate my car to a different storage lot; $250/day for storage (4 days by this time); $250 VIN verification fee; $175 shop materials; plus tax. They agree to delete the last two items (shop materials? What shop materials?), and ultimately my insurance paid about $2400. Further, they resisted my desire to move the car, saying the other shop will do a worse job, among other things. All of this delayed the repair of my car by about a week. These fees are absurdly high, and in some cases (according to the Bureau of Automotive Repair) unreasonable. read more

So the recent California's winter deluge got me. I hydroplaned on a bend on 101, lost control of the car, and collided into a divider. The entire front end was smashed but luckily I was close enough to the exit and I was able to maneuver the vehicle out of harm's way and then it totally died. Now picture a crazy night of unprecedented rain that became a night of unprecedented amount of traffic accidents for the entire state of California. I called 911 and AAA for a tow service. Both never showed up as they were most likely jammed from all the incidents.But I got lucky but didn't know then that I got REALLY LUCKY. About half an hour later this car pulled up behind me. And like a prayer answered, an angel came to my side, checked if I was ok and introduced herself as Leslie who rep'ed for Legend Auto. With a reassuring tone that vibed a calming frequency, she explained what their company does and from that point on I didn't have to worry about anything but just the homework of filing my claims. I'm so glad I took a leap of faith and surrendered to her company. And she was right. Legend turned out to be amazing and a bar in this business unmatched anywhere else. They are a real, one stop, worry free solution: Tow, repair, rental, and customer pick up and drop off. It was 4 in the morning so she got me an Uber home (I live 50 miles away from that location). Then the next the day I got Uber'ed back to their office where I got hooked up with one of their cars. The repair didn't start until 3 weeks later because of insurance lag. Once it was approved though, the shop fixed her up in less than 3 weeks. That's FAST considering the extent of the damage and the excellent repair that was done on my car that came out looking amazing and brand new! Also, the they forgave the two weeks overdue charges rom the rental that only had a 30-day coverage. Crashing the car sucked. But the suckery could have been a lot worse. In my case though, it took a pleasant turn thanks to these guys. Truly one of a kind. Worst experience ever. DO NOT USE THEM. They will try and charge you for services they never performed and services you never needed. I received multiple parking tickets while my car was held there. Yes, parking tickets because they store the vehicles on the street. I was rear ended and had my vehicle towed to this "facility." My car was totaled but drive-able, they tried to charge for forklift (to move my drive-able car), hazmat, battery jump (brand new battery) , after hour drop off charge (it was noon and I was there with the car when it was dropped off) amongst other frivolous and bs charges. Because they attempted to tack on all these ridiculous charges, it took nearly a month of negotiations with them and my insurance company to release the vehicle all the while my car is sitting there racking up storage fees (quoted well above market rate for the area). Absolutely absurd and then going back and forth to get them to pay the parking tickets. It is clear this facility is not equipped to conduct the type of business they are doing. Charging storage fees to "store" vehicles parked on the street?! On top of what was a traumatic incident of the car crash, the stressful back and forth and unprofessionalism is astounding. My e63s was involved in a huge accident rear end. Had around 70k worth of damages and I thought the car was totaled but they repaired the car it looks brand new. Took a while to get it out of the shop but when it was done it was looking clean. Took it to the dealer for a service when I told the the service guy my car was in a huge accident he looked surprised. After I showed him the pics of the accident he's like no way man. They did a really good job and explained to Me that the spacing in-between the bumpers and the placement of how the bumper sits is never perfect after accidents also matte paint jobs are very hard to match but he said that with the way they did it he couldn't tell. He told me this is one of the better body shops and they would have to use a pen to be able to identify the cars been painted because the pen reads the thickness of the paint. Overall super happy wasn't going to leave a review but after I took it to the Benz dealer I decided to leave a review. Quality work glad I ended up bringing the car here. My vehicle was hit by someone and their insurance accepted fault for their driver and agreed to pay for the repairs, they wanted me to go to one of their partner repairs shops but seemed a bit pushy about it, my friend used Legend before and recommended for me to check them out. I am glad that I did. They made the process of getting my car fixed pretty easy for me, they basically handled everything. The manager Ash (I liked the name because it reminded me of pokemon lol) gave me his direct phone number in case I had any questions, I didnt call very much but he answered every time that I did and answered my questions.
