I've lived in Reno for a little over two years and have tried several nail salons and this one was a little disappointing. The waiting times are long (over 15 mins even with an appointment) and the staff always seem rushed. I understand that they're busy, but if I'm paying close to $50 on a pedicure I don't want to feel rushed. Other than that it's a really cute and clean place. I took my daughter here for her 14th birthday to get acrylic nails and we were so disappointed. I didn't realize until after we had left unfortunately, but my poor girl had cuts all over her nail beds. They seriously made her bleed. I was so mad! Not only that, but the quality of the nails was not up to par either. The acrylic didn't completely cover, I could see her natural nails peeking out the sides. Plus, one of the nails came off like one day later. As if all this isn't bad enough, one of the males there made fun of her for the color that she chose. She loves yellow, so that is what she picked out, and he made a comment along the lines of "your nails look like bananas," all while laughing at my poor self conscious 14 year old. So unprofessional. Great customer service and fair pricing. This new facility is very clean and nicely decorated. I really enjoyed my experience. The only thing I was disappointed about was the feeling of being rushed. I didn't get to fully enjoy the experience of being pampered because everything happened so fast. I would recommend this place if they could just take a little more time to focus on YOU. This is the second time I've came here the first time was right after quarantine me and my two friends was the first 3 in. They did both my friends feet and started on both there hands before anyone got to me. And all so took two other people before starting me. Now this time was ok until my nail started peeling off I called and asked was it ok I come in the next day because it was already late. I walked in on a Sunday to see if they had time for a pedicure. They weren't very busy and got me into a chair within a couple minutes. The salon is beautiful. Very peaceful and relaxing. Everything was very clean and new and the salon didn't smell of toxins. I got the deluxe pedicure and it was great! My nail tech took her time and was very thorough. She let me relax and just enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. I really enjoyed my time. She did a great job on the polish too! I will definitely be going back. read more

I went here to get my graduation nails done. It took them almost 2 hrs to get to me in & I had made an appointment already so I wouldn't have to wait. My friend & I went in together & the guy decided to do both of our nails together which never happens! He had me go first he would do a part of my bails then have me switch chairs with my friend & do part of her nails & to be honest this just made the process way longer! Not only thay he was trying to rush it & cut me twice. It took him 2 hrs or so to do some very simple nails. The nails weren't bad but I was sad to find out that he had put Gel nails instead of regular nails & I paid more. He didn't tell me prices or what type I wanted he juss went & started. He also told my friend he couldn't do ombre bails but later another friend came in & walked out with ombré nails. He also charged my friend almost 15$ dollars for extra length & we understand length can be extra but they were only a tiny bit longer then mine. She paid 65$ I paid only 45$. I DO NOT RECOMMEND! 9/5/21 @ 5pm Mimi had us wash our hands before service but she did not sanitize or disinfect her work area before/after clients. She was in a rush and insisted I just come sit. Her brushes fell on the floor a couple of times because she was rushing to finish and still continued to use the tools on me. I showed her the ombre design I wanted on my phone (lavender ombre w/ nude), but she had me choose the colors from her palette. On the palette she gave me didn't have the lavender color I wanted so I chose something similar. When I showed her the colors, she asked if I was sure because they're ugly. Then, she insist that I choose the color she think is best for me because I look like a weak person who can't carry heavy things so I need a soft color that will match me. The color she "chose" was the LAVENDER I showed her on my phone! If she had that color, why did she make me choose something else on her palette?! Later, my girls came by to look and saw that the nails were too thick for my small hands(like a pearl size/jelly bean on my fingers). We spoke in our language and Mimi rudely said, "SPEAK ENGLISH!" I asked if she could file my nails a little thinner. She seemed offended. She threw herself back in her chair with her hands up in surprise and raised her voice saying that no one has ever corrected her work and she's never had anyone say they don't like her work. She pulls out her phone and shows her instagram to us that she has a lot of likes and clients that are satisfied with her work so she don't know why we have a problem with her. We told her we do like it, we just want it thinner and to look more natural because it looked like a hill (literally like that 100 nail polish challenge on tiktok). She grabbed my hands then huffed and puffed while filing. She says that I been sitting with her the entire service, why didn't I say anything and waited for my "mom" to come say something. I responded that I thought she was going to file it down later and she raises her voice saying, "What later? what you mean later? I do now and it done. but you tell me late and now I have to start over!" BTW, I wanted an almond shape but she didn't let me, she said ombre is ugly with almond so she do square or coffin. She refused my service if I wanted almond. Hence, the entire time, she kept reminding me how fast she can do my nails and that it only took her 30 mins to do them. That's when I knew she was not taking her time to do my nails neatly. She filed down my nails and wouldn't let me say if I like or not. Instead she says, "Tell your mommy to come see if she like! She say I make too thick, she come look now. You no say because you sit here whole time but no say nothing and let your mommy tell me you no like only. You have no mouth to say what you like so I no ask you. Tell you mom to come!" She had me tell my aunt, who she think is my mom, come over to confirm my nails twice. The entire time she was re-doing my nails, she was complaining and said, "I know a lot of Hmong people. They come from out of state and country to come see me. They are very nice people. You sure you Hmong? Because you not nice. I love Hmong country but why you so mean to me?" My aunt and I told her we're nice, we just asked her to file down the nails, why is she making a big deal out of it? After she was done, she had me go wash my hands. I waited with my girls and Mimi comes up to me and says, "Baby come here. I show you something." Then drags me by my arm into the back where the pedicures were and HUMILIATED me in front of everyone! She pointed at my face saying that I am mean and stupid that I don't like her work because it's "too thick". She forced me to show my nails to the other clients who were getting a pedicure. She wanted justice for her work and embarrassed me in front of everyone. I told them it's not that I don't like them, it's pretty but just too thick for my skinny fingers. So I walked away to the front to pay but Mimi grabs me by my arm again and says, "Baby, come over here! They didn't see. Go show them over there!" I'm irritated at this point so I swung my arm away from her and told her to stop touching me and to just drop it because I'm still going to pay for it so for her to just cash me out. She whined and cried wolf that she needs to show everyone her work on my nails because she is hurt and sad that I don't like it. She grabs her phone and sneaks a picture of me. I told her to delete it or else I won't pay. She didn't want to so I gave $50 out of $60 and she threatened to call the cops on me. We went at it because I told her if she didn't humiliate me and take a picture I would pay full service. But she wanted to escalate everything while I was calm and nice to her so I was not letting her off the hook. She's lucky I didn't throw hands. I am a licensed Esthetician, I can't risk losing my license over her petty ass *No photos, I was too heated and forgot. I removed them the next day. read more

this by far was the WORSE pedicure i have ever had done. The experience was terrible as well. I was a walk in customer and was greeted and sat in a chair as soon as i got there. Sounds great what could have gone wrong. For starters i sat soaking for at least 7min before my pedicure actually began. The whole process from start to finish i'm talking "massage" and polish was done in 15min. The person did not even take the time to shape my nails. i do not think it was worth the $35 i paid for this service. So very disappointed. Will NEVER return. read more

The gentleman doing my pedicure was very rough with my nails and would not do what I asked and the message was non-existent. Horrible customer service. They made me wait 10 minutes outside and then brought me inside at 3:00 which was my appointment time. They made me wait 20 minutes sitting in the chair without looking at colors and or communication. A lady finally came over 20 minutes later and said thank you for waiting and put water in the chair. I started to wait again another 10 minutes. She started another persons nails. I had waited a total of 30 minutes without getting a pedicure. I dont usually do the whole "nail spa day" but I love the results, she treated me like I was a VIP customer even though I was a walk in and im young which usually makes people treat me with less respect. I felt valued and she tried to give me exactly what I wanted, they eyebrow waxing was great and it only cost me $14 to have them shaped, waxed, trimmed and plucked I could not be more happy. If I could give this place no stars, I would. I brought my little cousin in here for a mani pedi and the lady did nothing but bully me into doing what she wanted the ENTIRE time. Every time I asked for something for my cousin, she told me no because (fill in the blank). Then she told me if I didn't do gel on her fingers she didn't want to do it. My cousin is 8. 8! She does NOT need gel Polish. She then told me the nail art was $5 extra. Which I agreed to. She then used a STICKER for "art". This is laughable. The pack of stickers at Walmart is $4. My lord. Then when she did her nails she kept telling me she wasn't sitting right. Mind you she's sitting very still. Like come on! Anything else you want to complain about? She then left gel Polish all over her hand in multiple places and tried to FILE it off her skin. OUCH. WORST MONEY I HAVE EVER SPENT. I will NOT be back. I waited 45 minutes after my appointment time. The whole place seemed dirty (nails/nail files on the ground). COVID precautions were weak.

I made an appointment and walk ins were given service before me. I waited 45 minutes and got a woman that thought I was stupid. Charged me for nail replacement and then just stuck acrylic on my nail with no tip or primer. When I said I did not want a pedi she slopped on the nail polish with clumps in it. Did not file my nails evenly no two nails are the same length. WTF. read more

I went there today and my mom voluntarily waited to get her nails done from the guy since he does a good job. The owner asked if she can do it instead for my mom, and when my mom said she's okay waiting; the owner Helen got rude and used a very harsh tone! The management here is very rude, they charge $10 extra for longer nails and if you tell them that it's a little expensive, they start to be all rude. I dont like to give bad reviews but I had been coming here for both fills and pedicures for about 4 months. My last fill was done by a girl I hadn't had before and Started lifting after two days to the point I could feel it pulling and ripping my nail underneath....so I returned on the 3rd day after they were done to see if they could get fixed! No big deal I know things happen and I wasn't mad just wanted them fixed.....I nicely explained that they were lifting and was immediately told no they weren't, so I showed her and she said I'm too busy right now I can't, so I said no biggie I can wait....and she said no she won't fix them And to return next week due to how busy she was. So with that treatment I will no longer return, bad customer service. I found Top Coat Nail Bar in Reno who was able to give me a new set and they were so nice and treated everyone so friendly and didn't do a rush job! *if you decide to still visit, see John, he was my regular guy and always did good strong nails! read more
