After years of blowdrying on high, flat ironing, teasing and generally punishing my fine locks, my hair is on the thinner side and just not as vibrant as it was years ago. I don't cut my hair very often. It's hard for me to trust stylists because so many of them just want to cut it all off and give me the standard layers with framing around my face which I really hate, so it takes all year to grow back. Well, meeting Martha at Limón really made me think that I may have found a stylist that understood. She listened and gave thoughtful, patient suggestions of what had worked for other clients. She understood that although I know I needed to cut off a good chunk of hair, I needed to take it slow. She gave me options, cutting off a bit then after blow drying, let me take a look and decide if I wanted to take off more. Seeing it dry made all the difference and I decided to take off a bit more and felt good about it. Often times I'll leave a salon thinking that it's ok only to get home and realize that too much had been cut and I'd have to wait months and months for it to grow back. Not this time. I felt good about it when I left, and days later when I washed and styled it myself which is kind of rare for me:) The salon is in a convenient location and has great snacks and drinks for their clients. I have been going to Legends for many years, and followed along with them as they relocated to the present location in Saratoga. The staff is really friendly and knowledgeable. Every time I go in, I let my eyes wander around to see what other customers are having done with their hair. I'm always impressed! My stylist is Tanya. A few years ago, my husband was unhappy with his haircuts at a local barbershop. His hair is thinning, and they would just buzz cut his hair. I got him to start going to Tanya too, and now he is so much happier. His hair is now nicely layered, and appears fuller. Our daughter is getting married soon. I want to have a nice dressy style for the occasion. Tanya has been helping guide me to grow my hair longer, and try out different looks. It's been fun! You should come too! read more

I have been going to Tanya H. for 15 years, and since then have had a lot of great compliments on my cut and color. She takes the time to make me shine! she is always going to classes when they come up with something new, and she knows her stuff. She's my miracle worker. I have referred a few of my patients from work to her, and they love what she has done as well. I highly recommend her for cut and color. She does great perms too. She will test your hair before she does anything if she feels it's in bad shape, and doesn't want to damage it further. Alex has been doing my hair for about 20 years. I have always felt confident of how she cuts and colors my hair and deals with my natural curls that do what they want.
