Upon arrival the receptionist said that I had to put all of our personal information, insurance info and and medical information into their new portal since they had a new computer system and texted links to me to do it separately for myself and my son. I said that I wished that they would transfer the information from there old system and she said yes, me too. I told her when I was having trouble with the with the portal and she just looked at me. While I was sitting in the waiting room entering information I heard a hygienist come to look for us and the receptionist told her that we cannot go back until I finish entering the portal. While this was going on another patient came in with another person and was in the waiting room cursing including using the F word. Then the receptionist addressed him by his first name and told him he could go back, which led me to believe that she knew him. No, hey sorry about the language, etc. Not a good environment when you have a child/children with you. When we went back to the exam room the hygienist said that the dentist would exam my teeth before she cleaned them and he did; which doesn't seem like a thorough exam to me but it seemed that he was planning to leave for the evening. When the hygienist asked to re-schedule us, I told her that I didn't think that we'd be back. When she asked why, I said that I would include it in my survey response since they normally send a link after appointments. I did mention to bad environment in the waiting room for children and she responded that it wasn't an employee but a patient. I would be apologizing if it was one of my customers but I guess that the medical / dental industry handles things differently. Any-who, I guess they didn't want the feedback since for the first time I did not receive a text with a link to a survey. There has been a lot of turn-over with the hygienist and front office employees since Dr. Wolfe has retired and the service is not the same.

They told me I have over 12 cavities so I went back to my normal dentist to have him look, and he said there weren't even things to watch for. They were all so tiny that fillings are completely unnecessary and wouldn't get worse as long as I improved my dental care. Also, my hygienist at Wolfe Dental was sweet, however the doctor was not. She did not introduce herself to me and did not even tell me I had any cavities until I received my treatment plan and saw it myself.

They each had their own hygienist and sat in chairs next to each other. My 3 year old was okay doing it by herself, but I helped hold my 2 year old. There were no xrays/no separation as described in other reviews. My daughters' teeth looked great and I wasn't sold any unnecessary procedures. I think the experience may vary based on dental hygiene practiced at home. I limit sugar, my kids rarely have juice, and We brush at least 2x a day, floss, since they were less than a year old. That's not to say they also didn't get their dad's good teeth genetics because mine are awful. I guess the takeaway is, if you have specific concerns, you should address they before the visit. My son is still dealing with their method of separating us from him for the X Rays. He was crying and scared and we will always regret not pulling him out of that situation. The impact of that short bad experience is still lasting. He was so good with dentists until that moment. We've had to make trust building appointments with our new dentist since then. Imagine if you are a little child surrounded by strangers who are holding you down and jamming that damn x ray piece in your mouth. I bet he was wondering why we left him there. If you choose to go here don't make our mistake.

I was frustrated as I needed to get the process of getting implants going. Thank god for Fleetwood Dental. First of all, the office is extremely clean and comfortable. All of the team members are super nice and helpful. Everyone has beaming positivity which makes each visit great. After telling them about the posts that I've had in for 3 years, they worked on getting me temporary care and worked on getting the parts that I needed. It only took a short amount of time before I got a temporary retainer and eventually temporary crowns. The attention to both detail and my own comfort is something that I really appreciate from the Fleetwood Dental group. I got 2 fillings done and I normally HATE the dentist....this was my best experience ever. I hate the sounds, and the smells, and time. The dentist here completed the most pain free and quickest yet high quality fillings I've ever had. I was shocked. I still don't like the dentist but it's much more manageable! Recommend this place for sure.
