Service Department: 5 Stars Sales Department: 3 Stars My husband wanted to treat me to a car, and he picked out a handful of SUV's he thought I would like. Among them was a Ford, Mercedes, Jeep, and GMC. After checking them out and driving a few, I thought the GMC Acadia was the right fit. I was excited the one we chose was from Lehmer's since Tom in the service department is A++++ and takes such good care of my Yukon. Our salesman was Mo, and he was great; patient, understanding, and not pushy. After we decided to purchase the Acadia and were funneled over to Roger (transaction coordinator). Roger seemed like he could care less about us buying the Acadia. He even interrupted our conversation to answer a call from a woman (maybe wife?) in the middle of the transaction. I got to hear about how he is closing a deal and what their plans would be for later that night. It was highly unprofessional to say the least. When I got home, my husband realized that the license plate on the car was expired. My husband politely stopped back in to inquire if we could get valid, temporary tags. Roger brushed him off and said the plate that is on there is OK. That's when my husband politely asks again, about new/valid tags, stating "if you were a cop wouldn't you pull someone over with an expired plate?". To which Roger replied with the grumpiest look on his face, "I don't know, I am not a cop". Well Roger, my brother and uncle are both police officers, and the answer is yes! If I could give their service dept zero starts I would. We have been repeat customers for over 5 years. (17 Yukon and 19 Sierra Denali) This time however was a different experience all around. Brought in my husbands 2019 Sierra Denali for a recall, with an understanding that I would be provided a rental car like I have been in the past. ($90k+ truck) This time however was extremely different. I was treated with extreme attitude, told there are no rentals available, and the shuttle will be over 2 hour wait. Mind you when we made an apt they were aware I would be coming in with two small kids in car seats. Tom Mimiaga basically laughed in my face when I explained to him how big of an inconvenience and disappointment this would be for me and that taking a Lyft is not an option with car seats. Considering that there are no other GMC dealerships in the area I will definitely not be replacing my Yukon with a newer one. Extreme disappointment with customer service and disregard. read more

This review is an update on a botched recall repair done on my Pontiac Vibe on 5/24/21. It was to replace the air bag cartridge. My previous complaint describes the initial frustration. Once you buy a car from them, they are not as helpful anymore. I bought a used car with low mileage and it has been plagued with problems. When I went to their dealership service center, they told me to junk the car that it is not worth to pour more money into repairs. Wow- YOU guys sold ME the car! Also when I asked the next time how much to replace a timing chain, the service advisor told me recently my guess is 3000.00?! You don't know the actual amount? This was already double other estimates. I already put 8000. into repairs!!! I will NEVER buy from this dealer again and never buy an American car! My Honda's all lasted me over 300k miles and this one is only a bit past 144k! Lehmer's has been in possession of my vehicle for three weeks conducting two repairs. The repairs totaled to $5189.67. I also had other items that I requested quotes for. For example I asked for my truck batteries to be replaced and my service advisor Marty quoted me $700. I bought the batteries myself for $389. Also, when I went to pick up my truck after I was informed it was finished. As soon as I put the keys in the ignition and turned it on, the trucks service and diagnostic lights came on indicating that the truck was in need did of repair. Therefore, my truck was incomplete after three weeks and I basically went down there to pay an invoice and be told that they're not gonna be able to look at my truck three days from now and tough shit. read more

My purchase from Lehmers was great. 8 years later I sold the vehicle back to them as I was moving out of state. Selling to Lehmers was my only option as most other places (Carmax etc) were closed (Covid). I believe it was Darren who gave me $3200 for a vehicle valued at $12-13K. Even the finance guy questioned the low amount as he prepped the check. I'm guessing he knew I had limited options and took advantage of it. The vehicle had some scratches/dent on the door from a parking garage pole and the AC was not as cool as it should be but certainly not $10K worth of work. im a second time buyer here at lehmers and i recently bought a 1500 sierra beautiful truck i love it the manager carl was an amazing guy but the only down side was after they had told me it was done getting detailed i got in my truck and it smelt horribly like marijuana and there was a chewing tobacco container under my passenger seat now i thought they were supposed to be detailing my car not smoking and leaving a mess in there. i wasn't going to say anything as i thought the smell would go away but it's been more than 72 hours and it's still reeks and gives me a headache. i believe it's time for a new detail staff. read more

Against my better judgment I purchased a new GMC Yukon from this place for 5K over sticker. I had to replace one of my vehicles in my fleet and unfortunately for me this was the only place that had the model that I was looking for. Fast forward a year later I received an airbag warning alert so I took it here to see if they could fix it. I made an appointment and when I showed up there were literally 5 different "service advisors" and not a single one greeted nor even acknowledged me. Everyone seemed to be upset about something and it was only 8:30 am on a Wednesday. Finally one of the advisors a women in her 50's started to get my information and then asked for my keys, then she proceeded to tell me that it would cost 225.00 for the inspection! What she didn't know is that I already knew that GMC had issued a service alert on 2021 GMC Yukons regarding the seat airbag and the only reason why it's not a manufacturer recall is because seat airbags aren't a necessary safety feature by the government for it to be fixed by the dealers. I have a large fleet of vehicles which I almost replace one or two every year. Needless to say that this place will never get my business again. To think that I paid $5K over sticker last year in addition to the invoice mark up and the factory holdback would be enough profit for them to at least not ask for an inspection fee for an issue which they were already aware of! No wonder why car dealers rank lower than other professions such as lawyers and politicians! I wonder what their CSI score is. The service department people who work here are some of the most miserable people I've had the misfortune of dealing with. They really need to find another line of work or retire! read more

Had a really good experience with this dealership! Did not actually deal with the original guy who had emailed me, so sucks for him because I bought the car. I had an appt scheduled and he decided not to go into work that day. So I ended up working with Lea. Super nice, was straight up with me about price. Which unfortunately at first made me second guess if I wanted to buy or not. But ended up going home and thinking about it and decided I still wanted it. Got all my loan stuff worked out the day before, was able to bring it to my mechanic to look over before buying, and then bought the car. Drove home today in a gorgeous 2018 BMW 430i Coupe! Shady deals! What they advertised on the vehicle was incorrect, and they weren't willing to make any adjustments. There were flaws on the vehicle that weren't disclosed. I'm pretty sure they didn't do an accurate inspection of the vehicle. The GPS was not attached, the stereo wasn't properly installed and we discovered a rat's nest in the engine. The manager (Ivan?) was rude to us and to his employees. He talked to an employee as if the employee was a child....while we were in the middle of a conversation. It took several hours to finally finish the deal, even though there was only one other customer at the time. For the amount of money it costs to buy a car, you would think they could at least fill up the gas tank. read more

BUYER BEWARE!!!!! Was going to make a deal ($69,000) cash with Daniel the very nice sales man. But I asked Daniel to see if he could find out with an installed step if we could do it for the 69k and if the attorney asks how he could lower the price what would he say? Daniel said he would have the manager call me (don't know the managers name because when he called he was screaming to loud on the phone degrading me). He referred to himself as the big BALD guy!!!! He was yelling because I asked the question Daniel asked him , "If the attorney asked if it could be lowered, could it be"? The BALD guy was yelling saying "Do you know that those steps cost $3000 and do you know that these used vehicles aren't negotiable / do you know we've been in business for over 100 years ?" When I said can you just answer the question he had no idea what the question was because he was to busy yelling!!! I responded sir I just want an answer to give the attorney, The BALD guy responded with "That Ford", I said Ford? He said yes thats the one you want right? I said no its a Chevrolet, he got even more mad and said Daniel didnt even give me the information. I know he had because I heard him do it!!!!! I told The BALD guy, this is where the conversation ends, I will not be talked to like this and the BALD guy hung up on me. So I found out the owners name Darren and Russell Anderson, I called and got with Darren Anderson who said , he just doesn't know why the BALD guy would talk like that. Darren said we dont differentiate for an attorney. I asked him what does my question of $$$ have to do with an attorney and he replied because you've said it over and over / I responded only to explain the story. Apparently Darren wasn't listening either, and didnt appear concerned about his Managers awful behavior. Later come to find out, this type of behavior is common at this facility by managers and owners. Darren said, well yah we could put the step on, I chuckled and said your not listening and why would you ever allow a manager to talk to customers like that. He asked if I wanted the vehicle, Now theres some real professional feed back !!! all over one question that made the BALD guy and the owner melt. WE DON'T NEED TO HEAR FROM YOU DARREN OR ANY OTHER OWNER FOR THAT MATTER - YOU LOST A 69K CASH DEAL AND I CAN SEE THE DUST GROWING ON YOUR TRUCKS, YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE SUCKS AND YOUR LOSING BUSINESS IS EVIDENT. A few months ago my son was there and said he didnt buy a truck for the same reason, because the BALD GUY was rude and unprofessional!!!!! BUYER BEWARE! I purchased a used 2017 F250 with only 21k miles on it. After a few months of ownership I noticed my passenger side carpet was getting wet. I took it to a Ford dealership for a diagnostic and they told me it was caused from a hole in the heater core. They also advised me that it couldn't be covered under warranty. So I called Lehmer's to explain to them that they sold me the vehicle like this and requested they repair it. They told me that they did not guarantee there vehicles and proceeded to tell me they could get me a discounted rate to fix it. The price was $873 in repairs which they would not cover. Daughter showed up for appointment, they told her it wasn't in the system and they don't service Honda's. Yes, I realize that you are a Buick, GMC dealer, however, your counterpart in Vacaville assured me that it would be okay and we could purchase the maintenance plan and have it serviced there. We confirmed with them twice during the purchase and even contacted the prepaid maintenance plan to verify. Ashley(?) was rude as f, completely unhelpful, and unsympathetic that we were apparently mislead. We're in the market for a new truck, so I am grateful that this is one less place we'll need to shop at. read more

This review is based on Lehmer's not honoring discounts. I called Lehmer's looking for a certain truck. I explained to the sales rep that I would like to use the GM first responder discount. I guess since this was their last truck in the options I chose, Lehmer's told me they would NOT allow this discount to be used. A factory discount and they refused to honor it? Let this be a reminder where NOT to shop if you plan on using certain factory discounts. All other GMC dealerships in Northern California were honoring this discount except Lehmer's. The experience started off well enough but the 3 Stars is based simply on the communication responsiveness. Before I purchased the car I'd scheduled a test drive. The store manager was very nice and when I got there, very welcoming - standard operation for a car-buying experience. He then introduced me to another salesman for the test drive. He was also very nice and knowledgeable. While I was there several people told me about what a small "family-like" operation they ran. To some extent, I even told them about how recently a family member bought a car elsewhere and as soon as we bought the car the responsiveness went to ZERO. I was trying to give them a heads-up that if need be, I'd be following up on things and hoped for quick responses. As luck would have it, I did indeed have to follow up regarding a few things and this is where they did not meet my expectations. I called one day for some information and got a call back a day and a half later. This was within the first week. I called 3 weeks later to follow up on something else and one of the managers seemed almost annoyed that I'd called. I've worked in customer service myself for over 15 years - tone matters. In an effort to avoid calling, I started with emailing 2 people - and all of a sudden emails don't work. Apparently, they're restructuring their email format? Seems odd the emails worked just fine to tell me to come in for a test drive but after purchase there's a connectivity issue. Finally, I got a hold of Chris. He listened to my question, said he'd call me back within an hour, and then did so. So, thank you, Chris. Ultimately, my frustration is that this dealership reinforced the experience I've had before (like many others, I'm sure) - that you're a valued customer before you purchase the vehicle, then you're just an inconvenience afterward. Called yesterday to schedule time to look at a new car, we had narrowed down our search to two SUVs. Drive an hour with two little ones to check out the SUV and get all the way there only to be told we can't test drive the car. The saleswoman kept saying only "serious" buyers can test drive but never told us what it means to be a "serious" buyer, implying that she didn't view us as one. Obviously I am serious, I drove an hour with two kids to look at this car and let you know beforehand this is one of two vehicles we were looking at. I fully understand not letting every shopper test drive, but improve your messaging. Think about saying "if you are serious about buying today and would like to test drive, we need x from you," and deliver that message over the phone before people waste their time and money to come to your dealership. I knew from the moment she said "serious buyer" without additional context, this was not the dealer I wanted to buy from. We immediately went to the other dealer and bought the other SUV we were looking at, not only because it was a better car but because dealing with their sales team was 1,000% better. They lost that sale and a future sale when we replace our truck next year. read more

I called around and prices were within $30 for a complete radiator coolant flush service. Only the dealer seemed to have the best equipment and a cleaning agent so totally worth it. Took my brand new 2020 GMC Sierra In for a check engine light and a loud hissing noise that I heard when I popped the hood, the mechanic said that it was normal which I knew it wasn't, so I asked to go start another truck the same as mine on the lot and it did not make the same hissing noise, yet they still told me this was normal, I argued my case briefly and it did no good, it just seemed as if they did not want to fix the issue. The service advisor Paul treated me like I was a bother the moment I came through the door, also the service manager Gary I ended up speaking with was very rude with every question I had, I honestly can't believe the customer service here for someone who just purchased a 55k truck. Also to top it off the paperwork they asked me to sign at the end said a bunch of things that they never even did, one particular example, they stated they tighted the hose when the hose can't even be tightened, before I left I asked for them to re type the paperwork for documentation because they wrote things they didn't do, they refused, I would never go back to this dealership let alone have a mechanic work on my truck that thinks it's normal for a loud hissing to come from a vacuum hose.
