    Envista, Lehmer's Concord GMC, having started in 1936 and 5 generations as a family car business

    The Lehmer's Concord is excellent. We have purchased our "family" cars including 3 Buick Enclaves SUV over the years. Founded in 1936, the Lehmer's family has been selling and servicing cars for 5 generations! Wow! Impressive track record. Since our son went to college and we became "Empty Nesters", I wanted a small car since I no longer needed a SUV. I enjoyed our Enclaved and so did the two we had stolen over the years! So I was in the market for a Smartcare or mini cooper for city driving in San Francisco and especially for parking easily. Well, my wife did some research and wasn't about to let me get a "clown car". She did discover the Buick had created a new model the "Envista". Went to Lehmer's Concord Buick given the excellent deals and service we gave received over the past decade. We been VERY disappointed with both the deals and services we have had with Buick dealers in San Francisco and the peninsula. So it is worth the drive and effort go to Concord every few years. I test drove the 2024 Envista in 2023 and was very delighted by its solid drive, handling, sporty feel & look. We decided to get one! My wife drives a Audio S5 convertible and I exclusively drive us for farmers market, groceries and veterinary visits. The Envista are relatively "rare" and the 1st years I drove it people would yell "beautiful car! I thought it was a Lamborghini!" Well, needless to says it is a stunning model and after looking up what a current Lamborghini looks like and cost, I agree! But I saved about $350,000 buy getting the Envista! Team at Lehmer's have ALWAYS been very smart, helpful and friendly. I worked for a Lincoln Dealership in Bethesda, Maryland in the 1970s so I do have some insights into what it takes to run a successful car dealership and these are very high functioning with all systems go!

    Had an amazing experience working with Ervin at GMC in Concord! He's not salesy at all and genuinely cares about his customers. He helped my husband get into a new GMC, took my Cadillac, and gave us equity on it. Ervin goes above and beyond for his customers--truly top notch. It's no wonder he's number one on the board month after month!

    Lehmers crashed.

    Beware of Lehmers. I purchased my New Sierra Denali EV from Lehmers on 5/23/25. On 10/5/25 I brought my truck in for a tire rotation . One hour later I was informed that two of Lehmers service employees crashed my truck and another customers vehicle. See photo. From day, one I requested that Lehmers replace my truck with a new truck since I had just recently purchased it from them. I did not want a repaired vehicle due to their negligence. Darren the GM told me that he had to wait for the insurance company. I again requested that he replace my truck asap. For six weeks I was told that we have to wait for their insurance company. At that point they decided to declare the truck a total loss due to the severity of the damage. It has now been three months and I'm still waiting for them to do the right thing and replace my truck. I keep getting excuses and delays daily.

    I've been searching online for the best truck to fit my needs for a few months now and after getting pre-approved through my bank, I finally went out to see the trucks in person. I knew I wanted something pre-owned. I was on a "recon" mission today, not intending to buy. I started at all the local dealerships and checked out a bunch of trucks and found nothing that turned my head. On the way back home I decided to swing by Lehmer's. I've driven by this dealership for years, always thinking " someday." Well I guess today was the day! I jumped out trying not to alert a salesperson, I was there so I could look around without wasting a salesperson's time. By chance, Juan passed by and saw me trying to find the "pre-owned" cars. He immediately introduced himself and helped locate what I was looking for. He was warm and friendly and just had great energy. He gathered keys and let us check out all the cars and took us out on a test drive and made us feel at ease. After driving the truck I was completely in love, and he introduced us to Lea Guido and the rest of the team who made the purchase of my truck super painless. I can see why Lehmer's has been in business this long. Great team and I couldn't be happier with my purchase. Highly recommend!

They were communicative the whole time and took great care of our truck. Josie booked our appointment and we came in for an estimate. Matt was very knowledgeable and answered my many questions. We then went to two other places to get estimates and while the other places were SLIGHTLY less expensive, their work and customer service left a lot to be desired. It was a no brainer for us and we're happy with our choice! The fact we could support Anna and Matt, a family run business with ties to the community, was icing on the cake.     I got rear ended two times in 6 months and we took both vehicles to this shop for estimates on…read morerepairs and both times they were ultimately deemed losses. The first time I understood, the car was old. I had no problems with the service and returned to them again for my next car. I had issues with the service from the very beginning, some of which were also due to lack of coordination with insurance companies, but overall I did not like the shop's handling of it. Insurance sent over a request for a work order, but then erroneously cancelled it. I called to set up an appointment to bring in my car and G&C told me they could see the work order but it was cancelled. I set the appointment date and contacted the insurance to say the autobody shop thought this work order was cancelled. Insurance guy texts me back that it is uncancelled and then set me up with a rental car to start the same day as the appointment. Well, I went to the appointment a week later and g&c said the order had never been uncancelled. This ultimately is the insurance's fault I guess, but some sort of failure of communication between all parties took place, and I wasted my time bringing in a car to an appointment where they didn't have permission to evaluate it it. I left and got things straightened out-- brought my car back 2 days later, not a big deal, and the insurance approved the repair estimates. Then g&c increased their repair estimates, but it was still covered. Next g&c had to get a part for my car which took time. Then that part came damaged/not up to par. Great, thanks for looking out for me. They had to order another new part, which took like ten days to arrive, while my car is just sitting there and I'm still in a rental. Finally it came in and then they started to actually work on my car and suddenly they told the insurance my car was a total loss. This turned into a big ordeal where that insurance company had to tap out and we had to change to our insurance policy covering the claim, but during that whole process NO ONE from the autobody shop bothered to call me or reply to my texts for nearly two weeks. I specifically texted them for updates/explanations and was not responded to for days and days and then I had to call THEM for them to explain to me it wasn't just the cost of repairs that increased, my car was irreparable. This car was only a few years old and had 12k miles on it. I don't know what happened to it after, but I imagine it still had life to it, since it was still perfectly drivable. I don't know cars, but it probably sold well as a salvage car. Sus. Anyway, this shop kept my car for a MONTH AND A HALF, didn't communicate with me for the last two weeks, got paid to store the car while doing nothing most of that time, and wasted my time by not accurately accessing the damage. I am not someone who normally would write a negative review, but looking back I really am dissatisfied with my experience with this business and God forbid anything happens to my new car, I will not be returning here again.

Practically unheard of for an autobody shop! California Collision is one of those unicorns. My only regret is not hearing of them sooner. Reflecting back on my involuntary experience of being the receiving end of a rear-end collision on the freeway, California Collision was the clear stand out. Not only did they get my BMW back on the road like it never happened, they handled it like a concierge would. Take that from a regular business traveler that works in the private equity world. George and Team handled everything in my best interests. They are an honest to goodness family business; the real deal- they all share the same last name. The first thing George did during the drop-off process was insist on giving me a walk-thru tour of the *entire* shop and work area. Other shops hesitate and deflect with these requests but George volunteers it first thing without even being asked. After using the restroom on the way out, there was not a corner I didn't see. Communication and customer service is first class- my calls, messages, and emails were always returned in a timely manner. They dealt with insurance and the car rental. I didn't have to do anything besides provide approvals. The job was done exactly how I wanted and even exceeded expectations. My BMW is older now and I expected aftermarket parts but I ended up coming out with all OEM parts at 0 expense to me. Even my optional factory/ OEM+ M-division performance parts were handled. Color match and fit were factory perfect. George is a perfectionist and personally inspects your vehicle after work is done and only releases back to you after it passes his high expectations. I have never ever ever been spoiled by a body shop like this.

I can't say enough about how great they were while we navigated a stressful repair through our insurance company. They used new Ford OEM parts for the repair vs used or cheap aftermarket parts that didn't fit properly. I never thought our insurance company would try to use the latter but they did. George and Angelina amended a supplement list with them 6 times to fix the truck with the correct/best parts instead of the cheapest. The truck came out beautiful; my husband and I were thrilled with how it looks and handles! The truck looks amazing but it also was mechanically repaired perfectly as well! We are VERY pleased we used California Collision for the repair! They totally go the extra mile for their customers. They even dropped the vehicle off at our house when the repair was complete. From the moment I called, Melissa answered the phone and immediately made me feel comfortable about bringing my car in for repairs. Melissa is one of the finest people I have ever worked with. She responded to my emails incredibly quickly, usually within an hour and often right away, which was amazing. The insurance company involved was one I had never dealt with before, and they were very slow to respond to the supplement request for additional repair work. Melissa helped me every step of the way in dealing with them. Because of the delay, I initially had to pay out of pocket to get my car back. The body shop had already been paid by me, but Melissa continued to assist me with the insurance company and followed up on the supplement approval. Thanks to her efforts, the insurance company eventually approved the supplement request, and I was able to get reimbursed for the additional costs I had paid out of pocket. Thank you, Melissa, for your outstanding customer service and support throughout the entire process. I highly recommend this shop and would not hesitate to bring my vehicle here again.
