My first encounter with BMW Concord was in 2022. I was shopping for a luxury SUV and I found one on their website that ticks all the option that I wanted. I reached out and Kris Mang was the one who assisted me at the time. I went to take the vehicle for a test drive and I liked it. There was no pressure on taking the vehicle the day of my test drive either. So I went to test other cars but decided that I wanted that X5. I reached out to Kris again and made the deal a couple of days after test driving the vehicle (good thing it was still available!) Thw transaction is different from other dealers. It was straightforward, no getting passed around finance people to get extra items etc. And I really appreciated that. Fast forward to April 17, 2026, I wanted to get back to BMW (yes, I dabbled into other manufacturers) and the first thing that came to mind was BMW Concord and Kris! Even offered to remove the paint stripe on the car so that I could see it without it(I didn't love the stripe but loved the car). We ran numbers and they low-balled me on the offer for my car. KBB gave me a much better offer, and their KBB value estimate didn't even align with the one I received. I also asked them to give me a call once the stripe was removed so I could look at the car again and they didn't call. I decided to use my vin at other local dealers to see if there were better deals. BMW East Bay has a special going on charging only 272.99 for the same work! I sent a screenshot to my advisor at Concord and they said they'll price match the spark plugs and micro filter! They're willing to take 1,500 dollars off service pricing. From $1,855 to $272.99! I did a bit of research across reviews here on Yelp and opinions on Reddit and BMW forums to see what the experience was like for others at Concord BMW. After reading what was mostly positive reviews, I decided to reach out and ask for a specific person in Sales to field some questions and possibly pay a visit to see the car I was interested in. Before I get into the specifics, let me take a moment to review the place itself. The dealership is fairly easy to locate with its entrance being right off one of the main roads in Concord and a direct turn onto their property from a stoplight. The parking lot in front of the dealership has plenty of spaces and is really obvious where to park if you're a potential customer. Unfortunately, what isn't as obvious (and maybe it's just me), is what door to enter to get into the showroom. Maybe I've just been to other dealerships where it's clearly marked, but this place had that vibe of, "that door is for employees only" or "that door is for sure locked", which made it kinda confusing. Anyways, once inside, the place is huge; the lobby area is very welcoming and has tons of chairs for you to sit and lounge in and get some refreshments/coffee/etc. All in all, a great, typical BMW vibe. Ok, the main stuff. Let's start off with the person I specifically wanted to reach out to because of all the reviews and feedback. Andy Li. From the very start of my phone conversation with Andy, he had this calmness about him that just made you feel really comfortable. As others have stated, he's easy to talk to and doesn't pressure you at all into anything. He's very understanding, offers advice, tells you like it is, and does whatever he can to be accommodating. Something that's lost amongst other salespeople that can go a long way with prospective clients. I mentioned I was interested in a car, he took down some information from me over the phone and the date/time I planned on visiting, and before I knew it, I was at the dealership looking at the vehicle, which was in the showroom at the time. He took me around the car and then took the initiative to setup a test drive for me in a different car, but of the same model so that I can see what it's like. Without going into each specific detail afterwards, he ran the numbers, evaluated my trade-in, made some suggestions and accommodations, and was really understanding of my wanting to do my due diligence. From that point on, we communicated via text and phone calls (EVEN DURING HIS DAYS OFF!!) until we finally got to signing the papers. I can't recommend reaching out to Andy enough if you're wanting to visit Concord BMW and need someone to deal with that's easy going that doesn't pressure you into anything you're not comfortable with! Next person to give a shoutout to, Irving Chen, the Finance Manager. In addition to Andy, Irving was instrumental in getting all the financial details squared away and continued to provide the same level of customer service that Andy had established. Irving reached out personally, as well, to graciously answer a lot of questions I had and reasonably accommodated a lot of my requests, which was extremely generous and caring. We finalized and did the deal remotely via e-signing and I took delivery of the vehicle the following day! If you have the opportunity to work with Irving throughout your deal, you're in good hands! Last, but certainly not least, Toni Brown! The BMW Genius that took me through my new car purchase and set me up with everything from the BMW App to configuring my iDrive to my liking. She's extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and a great person to talk to on the tail end of your purchasing experience wrapping everything up in a literal bow to send you on your way. Sure, there were a few hiccups and questionable things along the way, but that's to be expected when thinking about purchasing a vehicle, one of the biggest things a person can buy. I'm very grateful for the experience that I had, which Andy, Irving, and Toni played a huge part in and I couldn't have asked for more. AVOID BMW CONCORD LIKE THE PLAGUE! I was out at BMW CONCORD a few years ago and dealt, very briefly, with a saleswoman who was one of the most unmotivated people that I ever dealt with. I was in and out of BMW CONCORD very quickly and secured a quality car elsewhere. I guess some things never change or, the more things change, the more they stay the same. I visited BMW CONCORD a week ago and, was accosted by another saleswoman (Popal) who was a carbon copy of the saleswoman I had a few years back. SHE ABSOLUTELY NO INTEREST IN SELLING ME A CAR. She was VERY RELUCTANT to go out on a test drive, YAWNED CONSTANTLY, kept LOOKING AT HER CELL PHONE and made it a point to remind me how lucky I was that she had taken her valuable time to accompany me on the test drives, which ended up being in CARS THAT WERE DIRTY INSIDE AND OUT and unpleasant to look at AND to be driving. I was very tempted to take these test drive cars to a car wash, but that was not part of the prescribed route. Popal had minimal/negligible knowledge of two vehicles that I was looking at. I spent about a month looking for the right M240i for myself. I was on the BMW website everyday looking at listings as far out as Texas. An M240i specced out with all the packages I wanted popped up at this BMW in Concord and I immediate put in my information. I was contacted by the sales person Andy Li. They hadn't even posted pictures but he sent me pictures and videos of the car. The unfortunate part was that I am in the LA area and could not make it up there for about a week and a half. The finance manager said that they could not hold the car for me, even with a deposit, which I understood. I immediately gave up on the car and continued my search. A little under a week later Andy called me back and said the car was available if I was still interested. We ended up working out a deal and I was able to get everything signed online. I flew up two days later with a check from my credit union. Andy was supposed to pick me up at the BART station in Concord, however when he couldn't because he was with a client, he sent a Lyft for me which I thought was awesome customer service. When I pulled up in the Lyft, the M240i was already sitting outside ready for me. Once at the dealership I was in and out in about half an hour. They walked me through a bunch of settings in the car and I signed the last few items I had to sign. I left the dealership and didn't stop smiling the whole 5 and a half hours that it took me to get back home in LA. I want to give a big thank you to Andy for calling me back when he did and working with me to get this car purchased from afar. I recently bought a 2026 BMW X5 xDrive50e at Concord BMW. This was only the second new car I have ever purchased, and likely my last, so it was a big decision for me. I had been driving my Lexus RX 350 for nearly 20 years and wanted to make sure I found the right vehicle and the right dealership experience. A good friend of mine had recently purchased a BMW X3 Hybrid from Concord BMW and highly recommended Catalina because of her product knowledge and low-pressure approach. She was absolutely right. We met with Catalina on a Saturday, discussed what I was looking for, and test drove an X5 with the features I had described. At no point did the process feel rushed or pressured. We returned Sunday to complete the paperwork and take delivery of the vehicle. When we arrived Sunday morning, Catalina already had the X5 detailed and waiting out front for us. She walked us through everything carefully and then introduced us to Dayanara, one of the BMW Geniuses, who spent time explaining the technology and features inside the car. Coming from a 20-year-old Lexus, there is definitely a learning curve, but she made the process comfortable and easy to understand. The final part of the process was working with Alvin in Finance. Like everyone else we dealt with at Concord BMW, he was organized, professional, and patient answering my questions. He also handled all the paperwork associated with trading in my Lexus, which made the process much easier. We're a family of three with a one-year-old, and we recently went looking for a larger SUV for our growing family. We found what looked like a great deal on a used BMW X7 at BMW of Concord, stopped in, took it for a test drive, and loved it. Unfortunately, what followed was one of the most frustrating car-buying experiences we've had. Right off the bat, the sales agent told us the vehicle had a few months left on its bumper-to-bumper warranty plus a full additional year of bumper-to-bumper coverage. That wasn't true -- the extra year was only powertrain coverage. And we didn't find this out from the salesperson; we found out from the finance manager, who mentioned it happens often, almost like a routine bait-and-switch to make buyers feel covered for at least a year. When we asked about getting actual full coverage, we were told we'd have to pay extra for it, which we did, but it left a bad taste. We decided to buy anyway. Because it was the end of the day, we spent about 30 minutes on initial paperwork with the understanding that the rest would take roughly 45 minutes the next day. We came back, carefully inspected the vehicle again -- it looked great -- and they took it to the detail shop while we finished financing. Credit ran smoothly and we were approved, no complaints there. Then the wait began. After we wrapped financing in about 45 minutes, we asked when the car would be ready. "Still in the shop, working on a few little things." There was also a small crack in the plastic piece on the center console, and the sales agent told us to just find him when we came in for our first service and he'd take care of it (more on that later). We ended up waiting four hours. We asked multiple people multiple times where the car was, and every single time got the same answer: still being detailed. By the time it was done it was dark and we were exhausted with a one-year-old, so we did a quick once-over, it looked fine, and we took it home. The next day, in better light, we found a bunch of new paint chips we hadn't seen before -- and a freshly covered-up gash about 3.5 inches long on the front that looked like someone had scraped it against concrete. Suddenly the four-hour wait made a lot more sense. At the time I assumed everyone was just awkward because it was taking so long; now I'm fairly convinced the detail shop damaged the car and spent those hours trying to hide it. It only got worse from there. One of the big promises was that whenever you drop your vehicle off, you'll get a loaner of the same vehicle, same options if they can swing it. When we brought our X7 in, we got an X5 -- a real inconvenience with family coming into town. The service tech told us the odds of getting an X7 loaner were low since they only have two in a fleet of about 100. We were in that loaner for two months because they said the repair materials were long lead time. When we finally got our car back, some of the promised fixes were done -- but not all. The 3.5-inch gash that had been sloppily painted over was still there. When I brought it up, they claimed it was there when the vehicle first came in. I asked for records proving that; it wasn't documented anywhere. I also took the car to a third-party shop that does BMW-certified work, and they confirmed the gash doesn't meet BMW standards and would need to be repaired before the car could be certified. I also went back to the sales agent about the center console crack he'd promised to handle. This time the story was completely different: nothing he could do, it's an expensive fix, and while he could help me arrange the repair, I'd have to pay for it myself. On top of that, we had the service tech document new paint chips and scratches the detail shop had added. We were told to come back on a Friday two weeks later when someone does paint touch-ups. The result looked like the chips had been filled in with a white-out bottle -- same quality as the gash "repair." My sister-in-law had been looking at a brand-new X1, and I'd been eyeing a matte black M6 in their showroom. After all of this, we told her to go to Pleasanton instead, and I'll buy my M6 from anywhere else once I find the package I want. Bottom line: between the deception and the poor detail-shop work, I'd tell anyone to just drive on to the next dealership. What really gets me is making a couple with a one-year-old wait four hours while they fix their own mistakes in the back. If someone had just been honest -- "hey, there's been an issue and we're fixing it," maybe knocked a little off for the gash -- none of this would have been a big deal. Brought my car in for an oil change, arrived in time, but waited 45 minutes for service advisor Francis DeJesus. More waiting while he spent another 15 minutes reading his computer monitor. Instead of the oil change offer i received in the mail, he offered 3 options, all over $1,000 and all included draining my gas tank, which has no problem. When I told him I'll just get the oil change, he said they wouldn't shut off the service light in my car. But, there was no service light on in my car, I responded to the email offer. So I asked him if they would turn it on because I didn't take his $1,000 plus offer. No, he would not confirm that, insisting that it was on. I don't respond well to veiled threats and left, which he expected. Have gone there 8 years now, no issues. Do you want to be belittled? Do you like to burn $20-50k in cash on a ripoff deal? Then BMW Concord is the place to be! Story time. So I see they have this beautiful X7 for sale. I'm in the market for a 3-row SUV. I've owned an M3 before, have friends who own BMWs, so I think, hey an X7 must be a good purchase, right? Car was great...but the sales experience here was lousy! Now, why would a dealer not care about quality service to clients? The sales person told me about a recent customer who bought an XM, then decided to trade it in on a $50k loss to get out of it and into an X5M Comp. I mean, if your clients are this dumb/rich, how can I expect you to try at all? Back to the X7. I'm trying to work out my own trade, and this rather rotund individual pretending to be the Finance Manager comes in and lowballs me about $15-20k lower than what I can sell my car for. Remember, they don't need to try. Rude tone, maybe his coworkers ate all his donuts that day, who knows. Straight up liar too; my buddy who bought an M3 CS from them told me all their actual Finance Managers work from home. LOL. I ended up buying a Mercedes GLS. I actually prefer the V8 in it, and it massages my back while blowing cold air on my bottom parts better than the X7. Best of all? Quality sales experience at SF Benz; great vehicle servicing too. Now, you may be a BMW fanatic. Awesome, I still love my M cars. Head on down to Socal and hit up BMW in Glendale. Don't put up with disrespect at BMW Concord. read more

My daugther took her 2011 mini cooper for an oil change that took them 2 hours in October and 4 days later the lights went off while she was on the road. She ended up buying a new car. Meanwhile, we towed the mini back to Vegas and our mechanic found out they put in more than 3 quarts of engine oil enough to ruined the water pump and belts!! What a shitty job! I experienced terrible customer service at BMW Concord from the sales dept. I have been a loyal customer for almost 12 years and I'm on my 4th lease with BMW. I was misinformed about coverage on the last year of my lease & was presented with a huge bill for maintenance. When I explained the situation, they did absolutely nothing to help and gave me the run around for several days. I do not feel that they value me as a loyal/repeat customer, nor do they care, and their actions speak volumes. I will not be giving them my business ever again after my lease is up next year.
