I called him and received an address to take my truck in to have them look at it, within 5 minutes I accepted their offer and within 10, Gabriel was giving me a ride back home. They are a really friendly group of people and had ALL the paperwork in order, so all I had to do was sign the dotted line, and pick up my check the next day. Avoid this place!!!!! Smells like a urinal when you walk in. Everyone is too busy to even greet you. Now to the good stuff. I found a vehicle that I was curious about. I called to check if it was available as I live in San Antonio which is a solid hour and a half a way. Spoke to Dave Christian. He told me it was there and he'd have it pulled around and waiting on me. In the meantime he would text me all of his information. So I make that drive. I get there and after a few minutes of none of the sales people acknowledging I was even there someone passed by and asked if they could help. I told them I was there to see Dave. Several minutes later Dave comes out to greet me. He apologized and said that he thought that the vehicle was on the lot but it turns out it wasn't but assured me it was on its way. He said he knew we made a long drive and asked us to wait a little longer. About 15 minutes later he came out and told me that the vehicle had been sold the day before. Needless to say I wasn't very happy. He said he'd walk me around the lot if I'd like. Resisting the urge to cuss him out six ways to Sunday, I politely stated I was no longer interested. This guy obviously doesn't care about his job nor the company he represents. As long as people like him are employed at this place, I would strongly advise everyone to not step foot in this dealership. read more

This is my first review for a car dealership....I'm writing this in hopes to save some others from wasting their time, or getting gamed and played. Yesterday I went in to test drive a truck. The guy that took on the drive was awesome, he was a real dude, and genuine...I respected that man. HOWEVER....the way MANAGEMENT runs this place is where it all goes down hill. I was ready to purchase a truck for the advertised price I found online. We agreed to it and all seemed set to go. Then, since I'm paying cash they said I had to pay 25% more than that amount!!! That 25% included some maintenance package and lo jack etc. But from the beginning I told them I didn't need anything like that because I was shipping this car to another location. He said if I financed the car I could get a slightly lower price, but I didn't want to do that. I wanted to pay cash and be done with it. So after about 2 hours I left the place and knew I was never coming back......unless of course y'all read this and want to offer the truck for the price you had originally offered it at! Don't get baited in to this dealership....it will probably be a waste of your time. read more

I haven't had the greatest experience with this service organization the last few months. Partly because of the issues we were having but mainly the lack in, what I would consider, standard costumer service items. Well, I think all of that is about to change. I found myself needing to go back for the 6th time in the last few months but this time round it started off the worst it's ever been.... insert Mr Martin Franklin, the manager for the services department. I walked away finding myself deeply appreciative and thankful that he stepped in to make things right so I felt obligated to let everyone know that may have had a bad experience prior. Woody no more, Martin is in the house, and he is there to create one of the best service departments in the industry. Thank you again Martin! read more

After trying to sell a Corvette retail for months I finally decided to trade it in for a used truck. I did some research and discovered Carmax gave the most for purchases and trade in's. Well that is a joke, their quote was almost 10k lower than NADA. I took it to 2-3 other dealerships and while they were better than Carmax they were still too low. I called Joe one day in a beautiful 2006 F250 and asked for a quote on my Vette. After Joe talked things over with his manager he came back with the best and fair quote to date. Me and my wife drove down there on a Saturday and were in and out in less than 2 hours and the entire experience was a breeze. I give this place a firm 5 stars after dealing with the other 3-4 circus acts. Hats off to Joe for being a true gentleman and professional and for working for US and not just his commission check. I sold my 2016 car after receiving text offers and comparing to other dealers and also trying to sell privately. While they offered me quite a bit more than CarMax, it seemed apparent that they are interested much more in $$ than people. Hard hard negotiators, process took forever, and they couldn't believe I wanted to see the papers before I signed over title. Worst of all, they said my check would be available in "a few" days, and when I asked what that meant they said 7 to 10 days. So they had title to my car but I had no money. They promised to give me a call when the check was available, and after seven days went by and I didn't hear anything, I called, only to find out that the check had just been sitting in their office and they could care less whether picked it up. Too bad Leif Johnson lets their name be tarnished by the used car side of the house. read more

This is my first review of a car dealership. I want people to be aware that the dealership does not back they say regarding the purchase of used cars in relation to CarMax offers. The company staff that I dealt with do not have integrity. I spoke with a person at the main office that informed me that they would exceed a CarMax offer by $500-$1000 as long as it was within 7 days of the CarMax offer even if they did not sell me a car. I received the CarMax offer and on the same day visited the 183 store. Their sales person told me that their manager would not make an offer even though I had the legitimate offer from CarMax from the same day. So much for their advertisement, which is as follows: We will beat any CarMax price on a like pre-owned vehicle. I went to Henna Chevrolet and they honored their word on the purchase of beating CarMax offers on used cars. Both Henna and CarMax are companies with integrity, which is not what I can say about my dealings with Leif Johnson Ford. read more

The buying experience was ok, but I found out that they did 5 hard pulls on my credit for a loan that I didn't even need. This was unexpected. I manage my credit closely and it's a huge annoyance to have these on my report for the next two years. There was no reason to shop my loan around that much when a buyer has perfect credit and is financing such a small portion of the vehicle. read more

If I hated to purchase a car, they have made it worst!!!! Bought a car on Sat, by Sunday the car wasn't driving smoothly anymore. We set a service appointment for Monday at 1pm. We dropped the car off at 9am, service center never called us to tell us what was wrong with the car. After multiple calls, they still couldn't tell us what was wrong with the car. When we arrived at 5:30pm they said the transmission had gone bad!!! The work was not going to be covered by the extended warranty and the repair would take 2-3 days. Neatless to say, I returned the car, but it gets better. They have"systems" to return my money back and since the finance had paid them the bank won't finance me until Leif Johnson returns the money to them. They said the dealer would take 10-15 days to do that!!!! I would never recommend this place to anyone, if they"certified" cars the car wouldn't go bad in one day, and they didn't have any problems asking for my down payment, so return it back fast too!!!!! This place is horrible! read more
