Purchased a 2019 Honda Accord Touring model, returned it for THREE days to have the Simonizing done and a pin stripe added. After 3 days, the pin stripe was not completed, even though Sales Manager Gavin called and said all the work had been completed before we returned from Durham to pick it up. We're still sitting on a "We Owe" slip that they will not honor! Gavin told us Leith would have the detailer come to us ... and after almost 4 weeks, that hasn't happened. We've reached out to the detailer, who does not return our calls to get this thing scheduled ... and when we call to speak with a Sales Manager, they're always on the phone and very difficult to connect with. I will never be able to recommend this dealership to anyone (and this was second purchase from Leith Honda) again for failed management on their part to make sure that they honor their "We Owe" slips (which seem to be basically useless?), nor follow up to see that we've been satisfied with our purchase. read more

So they'll definitely try to make things work so one can get the bank loan, but after you've signed the papers the "great customer service" is Gone! We took our car back the day after driving out with it to get it simonized because even when we first got the car it looked like all they did was grease up the tires and threw water on the car because it had a lot of watermarks. Since we were late for work we decided to just bring it back the next day to get it detailed because after all we are going to pay Hundreds for the simonize and Thousands for a "BRAND NEW CAR" that in some ways did not look so new. Well.... the next day after waiting 3 hours for the simonized to get done, the car looks THE SAME! Watermarks, grease spot inside and wax left on several areas of the car. Not to mention that the so called shuttle service I was offered Isn't Available????? Save your time Go Elsewhere. Bad experience with service department today. Had a hard time getting through on the phone for starters. Prior reviews reporting that calls are not returned is accurate. I brought my car in for a problem with the TPMS light which I was pretty sure was a defective sensor. The pleasant young man who met me when I pulled up had me pull the car forward so he could put air in the tires. I knew this was not the problem. I had to insist, and more pthan once, that a mechanic look at it. The service a advisor the tried to do the same thing 20 minutes later when he was able to talk with me. (Not Leith's issue- I didn't have an appointment.) Both times I wondered if this was an issue because I was a woman, but whatever it was, it felt like they weren't listening to me and treating me like I didn't know what I was talking about. 2 hrs later the service advisor brings me my keys and tells me it was a bad sensor, all done, and I leave. 15 miles later,on I-40, the TPMS light came back on. It took 2 calls to get through to the service department. The service advisor was not available and I was instructed to bring the car back. An hour later I was told that the mechanic never reprogrammed the system to recognize the new sensor. The apology was minimal, and there was no attempt at service recovery for the extra gas or lost time for bringing the car back. read more

The Honda Service department is not professional and they have inexperienced mechanics. After discovering my car problem was a faulty relay a $ part and spending money on a new battery, alternator and fuel pump I was fixed. I think they worked backwards, replaced the faulty fuel pump relay it fixed the problem and then they decided to make more off us, I will never go back to this service department located on Capital Hills, now the the Autopark Honda in Cary I been there and was very satisfied with their service and will be going back there. read more

Brought my truck in for oil and filter change. Booked it online a week in advance. The online process asked me if I wanted the airbag serviced (per a recall I suppose). Upon arrival at the scheduled time, no one greets me or makes contact so I park in the lane and leave the keys in the car. It's not like a mystery car appeared there. It was booked at that time in my name for that vehicle. Yet 40 minutes later no one comes to the waiting area to check the car in. I could have tried to catch someone to get checked in but no eye contact, everyone buried in screens, seemingly avoiding the customer walking around within 10 feet in need of help. So I break in on one of their podium people and ask what's up. Apologies ensue and surprise is conveyed like the 20 people working in that area didn't notice a truck in the front of the lane (that they moved forward once) the truck with a scheduled appointment. He asks me if they've ordered the part for the week in advanced air bag service which they initiated or offered. How the f am I supposed to know if you ordered the part. Oh wait... Of course you didn't look at the appointments and ensure the parts are here. Is every day an ambush here? Management asleep at the wheel. Go to a restaurant and get ignored by a hostess for 40 minutes. Then sit down and find out they forgot to order food. read more

We went in with my daughter to purchase a car this past weekend to Leith Honda Capital. We got the car. But we left feeling that we were lied to the entire time. First, at 8:30pm, we were told that the finance department couldn't get in touch with the finance companies for the loan (they were closing soon). I have been at dealers til 10pm before buying a car. And then, we held our ground on not buying a warrantee after the normal pressure. We left and were called back while on our way home. And they were able to "buy" the warrantee by reducing the finance rate. So we returned and redid the paperwork where our finance charge went down like 4-5% points with a warrantee. So we are left with two feelings. 1) Why weren't we given the lower interest rate in the first place? And 2) We got a lower interest rate to pay a commission on a product we didn't ask for. Now certainly, we will enjoy a 5 year warrantee for sure (assuming that it will really pay for any problems it has). But we just left with a bad experience with the whole thing. The people were really nice, but you get the feeling that they really know how to work the system to take advantage of you. read more

I would not shop here, especially not if you intend to trade-in your current vehicle. They will undercut your car's worth and are very unwilling to negotiate the cost of their vehicle or the cost they are willing to offer as on a trade-in. Leith offered below minimal trade-in value and would not budge to help us get into a new vehicle. They indicated that it would be difficult for us to find any bank that would finance that much negative equity but would not work with us on the amount they would offer. They gave us every slick line in the book about how "even if we could remove all of the profit we would make, we still couldn't find a bank that would finance it" and "we have to offer you $1000 below the Kelly Blue Book because of the fact that you need new tires". For a company that "prides ourselves on working to get you what you want" that was not the case. Very disappointed. read more

Worst service department! I was told my appt. would take 2 hours, then told 3hours, and finally after 6 hours service advisor said it was done. Took my Honda CRV in to diagnose the check engine light. Paid $585 to have it fixed. Got in my car and light was still on. Their excuse was that probably more wrong with it! Apparently, the tech did no even check to see if the light was off. VERY rude service advisor, tech, and some sort of a manager who made an appearanc but said nothing!! Will never return!! read more

My experience with Leith was nothing short of excellent. Frank and his team were very helpful from our first interaction, which by the way, was Frank driving a Civic 30 minutes up to my apartment so I could test drive (since I had no good way of getting to the dealership myself)! Then after answering many questions and working with me to structure the right lease that I wanted, he came back to my apartment a second time to drive me to the dealer to pick-up my new car. This was for a *lease*, not even a sale, so I have to admit I was impressed. The guys at Leith Honda are clearly willing to go out of their way to help customers, and it was just what I needed! I had visited four other car dealerships before coming to Leith Honda. As I pulled up there were tons of associates outside and I felt the dread build inside me, especially after meeting quite possibly the most pushy salesman at the prior place. A dashing young man by the name of John Seinar was the associate that came out to me. I told him what I was hoping for and he showed me some options. It was great because they actually had exactly what I wanted used. We took her out for a spin and I fell in love! It just FELT right. Not just the car but also the experience. I never felt pressured or guilty for taking my time. John is absolutely hilarious! I wouldn't want my business to go to anyone else! Seriously we laughed all day, it felt like I was with a friend not a sales person. Gavin from finance was great about going over the details. DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE THIS DEALER! Yelp needs to add a negative rating. 1 star isn't bad enough for what these thieves did to my 18 year old daughter! My 18 year old daughter was extremely taken advantage of when she took her 2015 Honda Civic ex into the Leigh dealership in Raleigh, NC. She thought she should make an appointment online. All she needed was a full service oil change and her tires aired up and the low tire pressure alert reset. Since they did NOT have full service oil change online. She mistakenly choose coolant service, which she thought meant that they would just add anti-freeze if it was low because that is included in full service oil change. She also checked fuel induction service because she thought they would just check that it was working properly. She told the person in service when she got there the same thing and that all she wanted was full service oil change and the low tire pressure alert checked. She only had a little over 13,000 miles on the vehicle. They flushed her radiator and did a fuel injection cleaning service. The bill was $320. It should have been way under $100. She is away to college and always dealt with our trusted mechanic that would have explained to her that she didn't need the extra things done because of the low mileage. So she didn't question it at the time, but the dealer should have done the same thing. They saw a young girl that they could take advantage of and did so! I told her to use a dealer since we didn't know anyone in North Carolina to trust as a mechanic when her parents are 31 1/2 hours away. Well that seemed to be a huge mistake! Because they did exactly what a untrustworthy mechanic would have done! Honda should be ashamed to have their name associated with this dealer! I will be passing on the under handed deceitful practices of this dealer to everyone I can! What they did is absolutely disgusting! I CAN'T STRESS ENOUGH-DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE TO THIS DEALER! read more

I recently moved to cary from New York. And like many people in similar scenario, I was looking to buy a car. I checked out 3 dealerships as I was looking to buy Honda Accord EX-L and they were Crown Honda, Auto Park and Leith Honda. I am a little used to quality service coming from New York as there is cut throat competition over there. I was surprised by the treatment I got from Crown Honda, I would certainly write a bad review after this one for them. So I was left with 2 dealerships Auto Park and Leith. And out of these 2 Leith wins it by a long margin. Jason was helping me buy this car, and he certainly scores a 10 out of 10 in service, partnership with clients, honesty and integrity. I was sure about the price and car I want to buy, I already fixed the price on call. When I arrived at Leith Honda, I was expecting them to allure me into deals I don't want, manipulate the contract to charge some extra bucks here and there BUT to my surprise, quote on phone was honored to the last word. Whole transaction was as quick as possible. I am thoroughly impressed by the service. I never had to wait even for a single second. All things were lined up, one after the other. Took my 2012 Honda CRV in for oil change. Pleasant service person but long wait and they did not clean the windows or vacuum etc. Even Jiffy Lube does that. In the end cost did not equal service. Based on my purchase of 2015 Fit in July of 2014. My intial purchase of a black Fit seemed fine until I got it home in the garage and looked more closely. The vehicle had numerous scratches, swirls, some acid rain damage to the exterior trim pieces, and "orange peel" on the tail lights. Additionally 3 "fish eye" defects in the paint (from manufacturer) on the hood were noted. Honda (corporate) is aware of these issues coming from their new plant south of the border(not the dealership). The dealership did everything to make good on the car (including a professional buff job from an outside vendor and giving me a rental), but at the end of the day they concluded it had too many issues. They offered to purchase the car back after 3 weeks of ownership (I never mentioned that option) and offer me a new one at the same price I originally paid (which was a really good price btw trust me). No bs, no hassle. Talk about service! Dylan Leach is a true professional that has gone above and beyond to rectify the situation and retain a happy customer. I honestly did not expect this level of service from a car dealership. Actually, every staff member has been really good in dealing with a picky customer. I would not hesitate to purchase another vehicle from them in the future. Them taking a loss to make a customer happy is 5 stars in my book! If that isn't 5 stars, I don't know what is. Mr. Leach and his level of professionalism reflect highly on himself, this dealership, and Honda. Leith should want to give this guy a raise. read more

Took my Honda Civic with oil leak at Leith Honda March 27 2017. Took it back May 9 because it was still leaking oil and a couple of other things. I was charged $284.00 the first time. On May 9th I was charged additional $192.00. Complained to manager had all kinds of explanations why the car was still leaking oil. Did not care much for him. He was sort of a smart....If I can afford to by another car it definitely will not be a Honda!!! read more

Would give the service department 0 stars if I could. Have never had a problem with the sales side. Have bought new cars there since 2002 and their service department used to be top notch. In the last few years, have had several bad experiences with lazy or incompetent mechanics/service advisors. One mechanic claimed he couldn't open the glove box to check a filter. Seriously!?!?! They are extremely overpriced and I'm not entirely sure they do the work they charge for. Will probably avoid buying any Honda in the future unless I find a local, reputable repair shop. To put it bluntly.....they lie! I let my fingers do the walking and called several dealerships for pricing on CR-V EX all wheel drive. Yes they kept beating everyone's pricing but when I went in to get the vehicle, they did not honor the quote that was given on the phone...they wanted $2000 more than was quoted. There were no additional options! I do not like going in o dealerships and haggling, wasting my time. I just want the best price, go in and get said vehicle for price that was quoted. I bought my 2015 Honda FIT at Leith and have been taking it there for all it's oil changes since I bought in in March 15 - each time (and I share this on the please review our service emails I get too) my headlight selection has been turned to off from on and most times the seats have been adjusted - really to drive it around the building. Yesterday though, my husband took it in for the oil change and when I got in it today to drive to work, of course the lights were turned to off and my bluetooth had been removed -- it didn't recognize my phone which was turned on with bluetooth turned on. That is ridiculous - I only asked for an oil change. Very disappointing. I will not even go into how I was treated by the finance folks when I bought the car. read more

I was in Leith Honda today with every intention of purchasing a 2006 Honda Accord I saw online. I talked to Salesman Frank on the phone and told him I would be in later. When I got there, I asked the receptionist to page Frank and she did. Then in a few minutes, she paged him again. She sent someone to look for him and they came back and told her that Frank was "back there running his mouth". Then a man came upfront with a cellphone on his ear and made no signal to me that he was Frank. He turned and left the showroom. Then the receptionist asked me where he went and I explained to her that I did not know what Frank looked like and she said he was just up here on the phone. I asked her to tell him that I would be outside in the Used Car section. In a few minutes, he came up with another guy and introduced me to him and said this new guy would be taking care of me-that he (Frank) was busy with something else. I said fine, then this man went back in to get the keys and then another man came out and said the 2nd guy was tied up and he would be helping me. Then Number 3 had to go back in 2 or 3 times since he was being paged. Doesn't Good Customer Service devote their time and attention to the customer waiting to test drive their car? When I asked if we could take the car to my mechanic to be checked out and he said yes but he drove. When I asked if I was going to be able to test drive it and he said I could drive on the way back. I was allowed to drive the car back to the dealership. When we arrived back I let him know I was intending to buy the car and filled out the paperwork for the finance manager to research my credit. I was going to pay 30 % down, with the balance to be financed. . Salesman Paul told me the Finance manager would call me shortly with details of how we could proceed on the purchase (I needed to leave for an appt). By this time it was after 5 pm. It is now 11 pm and Mr Finance has yet to call me. I wonder if I was treated in this manner because I am a retired woman shopping alone without my husband and the Salespeople felt there were bigger fish to fry. DAY 2 I received a telephone call today from Paul Boyd, the salesman that was finally helping me yesterday. He called to say that the finance arrangements had been approved and to set up a time to do the paperwork and take delivery of the car. I informed him that based on the events of yesterday with the other sales people, I had decided to not purchase the car. He said that Frank had 4 customers in the showroom at one time and that when Fred went to get the key, they sent him since he had the keys to the car. He also stated that he was the one that had taken 2 hours of his time to go with me to take the car to my mechanic. I was trying to tell him that there was nothing that he did and that I appreciated his time and efforts and he, Paul Boyd, HUNG UP ON ME. I am only adding to this review so the car buying public will know the type of sales people you're be dealing with at Leith Honda. read more
