My last several experiences with RV Travel World have been extremely disappointing…read more I've been bringing my trailer in for service under their Forever Warranty ever since I purchased it years ago. However, as the trailer has gotten older, it seems like they are constantly looking for reasons not to cover repairs, even when the warranty documentation appears to indicate the issue should be covered. The entire program has become frustrating and feels misleading. I've also had issues with pricing. On one occasion, I called ahead and was quoted a price for work. When I arrived at the store, the price was significantly higher. I had to argue with staff and remind them of the amount I was quoted over the phone before they would honor it. Communication has been another major problem. Multiple times I was told my trailer was ready for pickup, only to drive all the way there and discover it wasn't actually ready. That's a huge inconvenience and shows a lack of respect for customers' time. After dealing with these issues repeatedly, I can no longer recommend RV Travel World. The Forever Warranty program has not lived up to its promises in my experience, and the poor communication and inconsistent service have made doing business there far more difficult than it should be.

I had researched floor plans and brands for over a year before my husband joined the search. He researched things a lot deeper. One of the things he read was that it's just as important to find a dealer you love as it is to find the right rig. We narrowed it down to Grand Design Solitude or KZ Durango Gold. Which brought us to Folsom Lake RV. They are the only dealer of KZ in Northern California.... but we would have traveled for the right rig/dealership... thankfully we didn't have to.... the folks at Folsom Lake RV are AWESOME! From the sales department, to financing to parts & service EVERYONE gave us exceptional service. They were patient with our timeline and accommodating with our extremely extensive PSI checklist. Friendly, informative and super helpful. We had a few issues come up on our pick up day, and these guys were quick to make it right and exceeded our expectations of how things should be dealt with. I have had my TT for a little over two years now and I have had to take my TT in a handful of times for warranty work. Booking a service appointment is about the only easy part of the process. Each visit, my TT has sat for at least two months before finally being worked on. In total, I have lost about 8 months of use between all my warranty repair visits. There always seems to be a break down in communication between service and the manufacture in getting warranty work approval. I have had to reach out to the manufacture on occasion only to be told it was service who dropped the ball when submitting paperwork. Every time I bring my TT here, there is a new service person behind the counter. Every time I get my TT back, I notice a new scratch or scuff mark. If their service department matched their sales department, this place would be unmatched. Management really needs to shake things up in this department.

From our first phone call, the Basecamp team was responsive, and easy to work with. When we arrived for our appointment, Erica gave us a thorough tour of the trailer and answered all our questions. The trailer was competitively priced, but we had been pre-approved for a specific amount and wanted to be sure everything would fit within our budget. While working with Erica, the owner, Skylar, took the time to come over and introduce himself. While there wasn't a lot of room to negotiate, he wanted to make the deal work and did what he could. We really appreciated that effort. The paperwork was straightforward, and a week later we returned to pick up our trailer. I am now approaching 40 days since the sale. My trailer has already been sold to a third party, yet I have still not received payment or a clear accounting of the transaction. Despite providing the payoff quote on July 22, my credit union has confirmed they still have not received the payoff. Because of this delay, interest on my loan began accruing again on August 1, costing me additional money every single day. To make matters worse, I still have not been told what my final proceeds will be or what deductions were taken, including the cost of the replacement tires. I've repeatedly had to follow up for basic information that should have been provided proactively. I was also told that a manager would be contacting me, but that never happened. Outside of the initial sales team, virtually all of my communication has been through text messages. For a transaction of this size, I expected much better communication, transparency, and customer service. I have the names of the individuals involved, but I'm choosing not to publicly identify anyone. Instead, I'm simply sharing my experience so others can make an informed decision. I have retained hard evidence documenting the entire timeline, including the signed agreement, emails, text messages, payoff documentation, and communications with my credit union. Looking back, I genuinely wish I had sold my fifth wheel to Camping World instead. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend doing business with this company until they improve their communication, accountability, transparency, and timeliness.

The staff here was above and beyond! Happy, knowledgeable, friendly and appreciative more like I was doing them a favor vs them doing me one. From the first email request for info, they made sure to contact me under my terms (email for now as I was at work) we did everything over email. Eventually I was able to work a bit through Text. I really appreciated the no calls, and no harrassment! RJ set me up with a day and time that worked for us to pickup, again coming from out of state. Everything was ready to go. They even put the hitch components on the truck and trailor for us when we arrived. When mine didnt work, they worked with us to get it done! I have had Rv's before and this time they took the time to show me how to properly use my brake controller and what to expect pulling something so much smaller than I am used to. We took it out for the first time 3 weeks after purchasing, and found an issue under my sink. Now this not being my first trailor, I expected something to need fixing. Bouncing and driving it happens. I emailed RJ at 730pm on a Friday night.. He responded (I couldnt believe it, I didnt expect to hear until Monday) He had the service person included into the email. They scheduled me a service repair well beyond hours, made it easy. I feel completely confident my new RV will be fixed and make for the rest of summer trips to be fabulous! Next trip.. Grand Canyon! I was told just today on the phone by John that RV's aren't meant to be lived in & that they don't have a mobile mechanic to come fix it. I was told it was covered from head to toe for the first year when I bought it. This is your problem . I live 1.6 miles from the dealer. My next RV purchase won't be here. I live in an RV park. Gonna let everyone know don't purchase here. They don't stand behind their warranty & their RV's aren't made to withstand 3 months of life. It's BRAND NEW. My next move is court-I apparently bought a lemon on top of bad customer service on the back end. See you there regretfully. Very Sad on your part. The owner spent a lot of time explaining the business to us and repeatedly emphasized how he was "a man of his word." He agreed to purchase our RV for a fair price, and we signed paperwork moving forward with the deal. Because we were told the purchase was happening, we paid off the negative equity on the RV based on his word and assurances. He was very convincing and made us believe everything was set. Then, the day before we were supposed to bring the RV in to finalize the sale, we texted RV Maxx just to confirm everything. The daughter responded saying her father was "no longer interested" in buying our RV anymore had already bought 2 trailers and simply said "good luck." What makes this worse is that if we had not reached out ourselves, it appears they had no intention of even informing us ahead of time. After all the promises and talk about integrity, the deal was dropped at the last minute after we had already taken financial steps based on their commitment. As a military veteran, honesty and keeping your word mean something to me. Unfortunately, this experience left me feeling misled and disappointed. I would not recommend this RV dealer to fellow veterans or anyone expecting straightforward business practices.

I had been looking for MONTHS for a Motor home for myself, after deciding to finally just do it, since I had been dreaming of a travelling life for years now. I looked in CA, AZ, NV, and CO for a Class C (Four Winds Majestic 23A to be exact). Over the course of my journey (and boy, was it a JOURNEY) 3 RVs I was interested in purchasing were sold to other parties almost immediately after I looked at them (COVID really up-ed RV sales). After striking out with so many Class Cs, I decided I could be more flexible in my search and noticed a Class A Motor Home online. The page linked to American Motorhome's website and I called to make an appointment to see the vessel. The day before I was schedule to go see it, I had a moment of clarity and decided I should make a deposit (Fully REFUNDABLE, BTW) to hold this one for me and called back to do so, since I'm from the Bay Area and didn't want to make the drive just to find out this one had been sold to someone else too. Even though it was a Class A and not the Class C I was originally looking for, I really loved the mix of modern and old-school in interior, the outside was freshly re-painted, and it only had 36,000 miles on it! Plus it came with a motorcycle rack AND a rack on top (which they kindly painted black for me). The vehicle didn't have that "manufactured" feel to it, since the previous owner did some upgrades on the interior, which I absolutely LOVED (whoever it was, s/he did a great job with it). The day of my appointment, I drove up to the lot and was SLIGHTLY put off at first by the scenery (the street as a whole is a bit slummy), but I put my reservations aside and walked up to the office. Lester, the owner, greeted me and I explained I had an appointment for the Fleetwood. He took me to the far corner of his lot where it was parked and as soon as I stepped inside, I KNEW this was the home I wanted. He showed me that/how everything worked and the vessel was fully functional. There are some VERY MINOR fixes I need to do, but nothing I wouldn't have expected of a used option (buying new is just a straight waste of money, especially since this is my first one). After about half an hour of checking her out, Lester asked me if I wanted to purchase her. I didn't even hesitate on my "yes". It just felt RIGHT. So we go in, (I had already done the financing with my bank, so i just needed to send my Rep the information for the Motor home and they sent a check for payment) and I sign all the paperwork. A few days later, Lester called to let me know they had received the payment and I could come pick her up anytime. I drove up with my sister that day and was signing the final paperwork for the DMV, when Lester realized he hadn't gotten the smog check done. He apologised profusely and said if I would be kind enough to wait for him to go get the smog check done, he would fill up the Motor home gas tank, the propane tank, AND MY SISTER'S gas tank. I (of course) had no problem with this at all. So once everything was done, I signed the final papers and drove off with my new (to me) Delilah! I can't thank Lester and the team at American Motorhomes enough. I've heard horror stories from other people who purchased from the big corporate RV companies (Not ganna name, but you know who) and was TERRIFIED that would be my experience. Not with American Motorhomes. Their team actually CARES about you, what they do, and the quality of their products. I drove Delilah out to LA and back this weekend and she had ZERO issues. THIS IS ONE OF THE TOP 3 PURCHASES I HAVE EVER MADE IN MY LIFE SO FAR. So, with all that, All I can say to Lester and his team is THANK YOU ALL so much for the BEST RV buying experience I could have asked for. It was easy, quick, and I genuinely enjoyed the process. If you're anywhere in norther CA looking for an RV, make the trip to Sacramento and check out this place. It was 100% worth the drive for me. :-)
