I see these bad reviews and I'm thinking...how is it that people can tip so little living in such a high economic area such as Yorba Linda??? This business opened shop here for a reason and they do an AMAZING job. Why wouldn't I want to tip them more than deserved? They bring rest and relaxation to my body, I know plenty of people that would pay so much more for that! If we can pay money out of the wazzoooo for prescription drugs just to numb our pain why wouldn't we pay good money to keep the pain away all together? Lulu massaged me the first time a while back and I've gone back twice since and she did a wonderful job! I walked out of this place feeling rejuvenated and I tipped (without looking at any sign or look on anyone's face) $15-20 because the strain on the hands and body of a massager has an impact in the long term and because they offer good service. I hope people can realize that everyone in the world is just trying to survive the best they can and if some are rendering a service for money rather than just begging for it on the streets then i will always honor their efforts. It's hit and miss on how well the massage is. I've had anywhere between a 3.5 and 5 so I'm giving the place a 4. If it was on price and service combined it would be a 4.5 because you can't beat the price and the place is kept clean! I went in for a 75 minute massage and the woman giving me the massage was leaving and answering the phone (when four other people working there were doing nothing) ...and then she would come back and continue to answer and talk on the phone while using one hand to massage me. People have been messaging me to tell me they've had the same experience, and to ask if this is normal business practice. The answer is no, and it is actually illegal to require/demand a certain amount for tip from customers. Tips cannot be dictated by the establishment and is up to the consumers discretion. They are trying to evade taxes by paying employees less and having customers compensate for their low wages. It's great that people are trying to be be nice by tipping more for hard work and great service. However, this really only supports illegal practices by the establishment's owner so that they can claim less profit and evade taxes while taking advantage of their employees, illegal workers, and citizens that actually pay taxes. read more

My wife and I have been to LemonTree Spa a few times and on my last visit I went by myself. The lady that did the one hour massage was outstanding. However, when I was leaving I gave the lady at the counter, who is in charge of the place, $40 for the one hour massage and $8 for a tip for the lady that did the massage. Apparently I am not very knowledgeable about tipping at massage parlors Because the lady at the counter said "not enough tip". She pointed to the $40 and said "this is for me...the girl needs more tip". Then she pointed to a sign on the counter where it said that they expect $10 to $20 tips for the girl that do the massage. I gave her more money for the tip. I had never seen the sign before but maybe this is the norm for tipping at massage parlors. Any thoughts? My girlfriend and I came in for 1 hour foot massages. You need to specify you want foot only, otherwise it is more of full body massage. I paid an extra $5 for "deep tissue", because I selected level 6 pressure. The foot massage starts with a soak in warm water. The massages themselves were very superficial. I was surprised they charged me an extra $5 for the very mild pressure. The ball of my feet are full of knots, but my masseuse avoided every knot she came across. My girlfriend is a massage therapist who likes light pressure, and she also said their was not enough pressure. I am giving 3 stars because I understand businesses are struggling, but we will not be going back. read more

Massage was very generic Chinese style massage, not custom at all, no matter what you ask it's a taught routine, not relaxing, not horrible, just not a relaxing type massage, perhaps if you're in pain you can ask for more pressure, but that's about it. I hate to give a place I got such a good massage, such a low review. But, I am very unhappy with some of their business tactics. I have had my eye on this place for a year now and only finally decided to give it a shot today. When they first opened their prices were significantly higher than all the other local foot massage places. I noticed they dropped their prices a bit and saw the discounts advertised here on Yelp. When I got there and ask about the Yelp discounts, the woman behind the counter pulled out an old price sheet and said that the Yelp discounts were only for the old prices. I pusher back a little and asked, "soo... the discounts aren't for the advertised prices?" She got a little uncomfortable and said she would honor the Yelp special. I chose the Combo foot massage. The first half was in a big recliner, the second half was on a massage table. The massage itself was great. When I went to pay to leave, I noticed she charged my card for the whole amount. No discount added. I didn't feel like fighting over a couple dollars, so I just left a generous cash tip then left. I am not a cheap person. I am happy to pay the full, fair prices, my issue comes with dishonesty and lack of business integrity. I beleive companies should honor things they advertise to get people in the door. I have been going to Lemon Tree Spa in Yorba Linda for years now and have had pretty good experiences. However, this past Monday I went to get a massage and my masseuse sniffled, cleared her throat and coughed the full hour. 1) this made it extremely uncomfortable and anything but relaxing and 2) this morning, two days later, I woke up with a full on cold- sore throat, runny nose, ear aches, headache, cough, etc. It's clear she massaged me when she was sick, and as a result, caused me to get sick. This is quite possibly one of the most disturbing, unsanitary, senseless things I've ever experienced, especially taking into consideration the COVID-19 pandemic and everything else going on in our world today. Made a mental note a few weeks ago that this new spot opened in the YL. I had a huge knot in back and needed some relief stat. Called in for a Day day appointment- they open til 10p. This is the usual Chinese food massage spots where you get massaged with your clothes on in a public space with others. I went with the full body and foot massage combo for $35, but wait, for only $5 more you can get a full body and foot oil massage in a private room. You heard that right, it's basically a full massage for $40 for 60 mins!!! Seriously! Yes, it's no Burke Williams but it's no fuss and gets you a quick muscle relief. Space is clean and it still has that new paint and coconut oil smell. Masseuse was great and worked out som deep tissue in my back. Sadly today was not a good experience. I called one week prior to our appointment and made a full body massage appointment for me and my friend. When we showed up she had no idea about my appointment and unfortunately due to the language barrier it was hard for her to convey the situation to us. She showed us into our rooms. I got ready and under the covers only for the receptionist to come in and tell me they did not have another massage therapist. They did my friend but I had to get up and leave as they had not remembered our appointment Highly disappointed. I am all for supporting a local small business but this type of error is not good.
