We were on vacation from Vermont looking for a nice sit down place for breakfast. Lemon Tree came up nearby and we could not have been happier. Service was fast and efficient. We waited for about 5-10 minutes before being seated. As soon as we were seated, a server took our order and brought our drinks in mere minutes. The food seemed like it was ready in about 10-15 minutes tops which was perfect timing. Delicious meal to say the least. The carafe of coffee did not hurt either as most places I go I end up requesting more coffee. To finish things off, they brought the check out in a very timely I manner and with its came two small complementary muffins. Overall great place to go. Highly recommended. read more

We (party of two, a dad and 8-year-old daughter) went on a Thursday at 6:15 p.m. with no reservation. The place was packed with a 60- to 70-ish looking crowd and we were told it would be a 20 minute wait. Maybe 25 minutes later we were seated by a busy but professional/efficient hostess team (maybe the cranky one only works AM shift?). Dinner and service were outstanding. Pompano special was as good as it gets, and included glass of OK wine, three choices of soups (lobster bisque was chosen), bread and a sorbet for dessert. The place doubles as a hot spot for breakfast (think booths) but is a really solid, decent place for a nice, casual dinner. read more

Met some friends a Lemon Tree for brunch today. Seated immediately while I waited for my friends to arrive. Coffee came right away, hot and they left the pot for refills. My meal was the breakfast sandwich, with sausage, and plain grits. The sandwich was good, maybe the croissant a bit soft. The grits were fine, nothing special. The mini muffins that seem to please everyone, is a nice touch to be sure, but they are small and sort of plain. Enjoyed the place but it was a long drive from South Florida for a meal. (I realize that my visit was not a typical visit, as my friends drove down to meet me from Orlando). read more

Omelet, tuna, cheeseburger and pasta salad were just so-so. Great chicken pot pie. Order that if it's available. This is my second visit. I had breatfast on the first visit and lunch on this visit. So good we had to eat twice for breakfast while my husband and I were on vacation. We had the big breakfast one morning (pancakes, eggs, and bacon) which was super and had the French toast another morning which in my opinion was even better than the pancakes. I guess it is a beach place but I was greatly disappointed that the coffee was only fair, the croissants were more like bread with an outer croissant-like appearance and the cheese used without asking was something between Velveeta and American cheese. I've eaten here every time I come to Vero Beach and I really enjoy it. It's not too over the top, or at least breakfast isn't. I haven't ever had lunch here so I can't speak for that side of the menu. Breakfast is simple..pancakes, breakfast sandwich, eggs any way, French toast..the usual. I always get an omelet or some type of eggs and orange juice (Natalie's..comes from Vero!) and they always give you a basket of mini muffins at the end of your meal. Don't let my three-star review keep anyone away from this place; it is a perfectly workable place for what it is. On the other hand, they really don't offer anything that you couldn't prepare for yourself. And the burger that I had today, while good, had the texture and taste of a frozen burger. I could be mistaken. In any event, a $12 burger really should not taste frozen - at least that's my opinion. I wish I could give 3.5 stars. By the way, Chelsea was a wonderful waitress. read more
