Mexican roll (front) King & I Roll (back)

Convenient, small location within the strip-mall on Ocean Ave & the intercostal bridge. Prices are definitely high, but the sushi rolls are delicious! We weren't fans of the Pork Shumi (pork dumplings) or the wine we ordered.

Dragon roll, Maine lobster hand roll, spicy crab roll

Delicious! Boyfriend and I loved all the rolls. The dragon roll was my favorite. We had the nigori/specialty sake which I think is delicious and also the most cost effective. There is some outdoor seating which is nice but also very cute interior that feels like a cozy atmosphere. We've ordered take out before and I think I liked it. Apparently, my boyfriend spent valentines day here once before (dif gf) and they gave him some sparkling sake. This was my first time experiencing the restaurant in person but I liked it and I think we will be back :-) I found out later that if you use the app GetUpside you can get cash back. Sushi Box

This place is great --- the food is fresh and the service is excelente The carrot ginger sauce was at the perfect point. The bow brings Sashimi (Tuna, Yellow tail, Salmon) and California rolls. The box includes miso soup or salad --- yes definitely is recommended for the price !!!

Uni, shrimp & ika with masago.

A very small location set in a strip mall; this can either go two ways: poor or amazing. There are 5 tables in the restaurant & 8 seats at the bar. I decided to sit at the bar being that I was eating solo and love chit chatting with the sushi chef about what else other than FOOD. The waitress was extremely friendly, the chef did not say a word. I've been to really elite sushi house's in Denver, Portland, Miami, etc and they have always said hello... even if there English was lacking. I ordered a la carte today to really try how this place is. This is the real test! I got uni sashimi, Ama ebi sushi style, ika aka squid. Let's see what this place is all about. Bottom line: presentation was good, quality was okay, lack of communication at the sushi bar was a killer. Lots of hipp. I would give it a second try this time at night

Very good food, we all liked our rolls. The service was great. The seating was limited so it's not great for big families or larger groups.

Good (not great) sushi, extremely overpriced. We ordered takeout so can't comment on the service or atmosphere.

Not wanting to wait, we walked a few dozen steps to a place I had noted before, Quaca Go, re-tuning my culinary expectations from French Toast to burrito. There was no table service, but that wasn't a problem. I'm a bit uncomfortable about being served, probably legacy of my radical upbringing which is currently being eroded by dining at Abe & Louie's. It also provided an opportunity to see the food and its preparation à la Chipotle. Here, this presentation was a great idea. The food looked as fresh and delicious as it proved to be. The staff was pleasant and attentive. They seemed to enjoy their job and a small sign on the counter showed their first names under their photos allowing a more egalitarian exchange.

While they do have a great idea, I may have visited on a semi off day. The avocados were overripe and covered with dark bruises, which was kind of a bummer because I pick better avocados at the store. The menu for ordering was also a little confusing and the staff members weren't too willing to help or offer suggestions. They also got my two bowls confused in the end, which resulted in my husband's jalapeño filled bowl topped with my chicken, and my sweet pineapple bowl topped with his shrimp. I'm not usually picky, but having worked in food service for many years I expect a little more from a jazzy restaurant like this! I left feeling like I probably should have just made burrito bowls at home.

Nicolson Muir is a Michelin recommended restaurant. I went for my anniversary with my beautiful…read morewife. It did not disappoint at all. We made our reservations for 4:30, thinking it was too early, we are glad we did that. It was small inside, has an open bar, and the ambiance and decor were nice. The kitchen is small so the waiter asked if we could put our full order in at once so in case they get busy, our order won't take super long. My wife and I agreed on sharing a Porterhouse steak but unfortunately, they ran out the night before. The Waiter told us their daily meat, fish, and starters. We ordered the Empanadas, Me So Crispy, Wedge Salad, 40oz New York Strip (daily meat special), Mac, and Fries. Way too much food for the 2 of us. They brought out a little free snack that's Curried Chicken Salad on a Tortilla chip. Absolutely delicious. Next was the Empanadas and Me So Crispy. The Empanadas with the chimichurri sauce was amazing. The best empanadas we've ever had. I'm not a big seafood fan, but the Spicy Tuna Tartare on the Crispy Rice was spectacular. That was my favorite starter. The Wedge salad came and that was delicious also, the egg was boiled perfectly. The service is amazing. Checking up on us throughout the time. They brought out steak knives from Argentina and we got to choose our weapons. The 40oz New York Strip with sauces, Mac, and fries came out and it was the best cut of meat I've ever had. We ordered it rare to medium rare and it was cooked perfectly. It had a great sear and crust on it, it cut super easily and was super tender. Mac was really good as well, and the fries were perfect. Didn't even need ketchup for them. After we were done, they brought out a free Madeleine and chocolate muffin. They also gave us free Champagne to celebrate our anniversary. We ordered Bread Pudding because why not and it was delicious too. My wife and I have been to quite a few fancy expensive restaurants where even one was 420$ a person. Nicholson Muir has turned to our number 1. We have zero complaints. They exceeded our expectations and I would highly recommend them to anyone. We will definitely be back. Hopefully they have the Porterhouse in stock

This was our second visit. We dined with friends and had another excellent experience…read more We made a reservation in advance and our table was ready (early actually), so we were seated promptly. The service is friendly and attentive - the dishes were bused quickly and the silverware was replaced after the first course, which I really appreciate. This is very quaint little restaurant, but I've never felt cramped. The food is great and they've got a large enough menu to have plenty of options without being overwhelming. Can't go wrong here.

The space was clean with plenty of seating, and the staff was warm and welcoming from the moment I walked in. They gave me time to browse the menu without any rush, and were ready to take my order the moment I decided. I went with the Falafel and Eggplant Pita Wrap, ordered exactly as it comes -- five crispy handmade falafels, roasted eggplant, hummus, tomato and cucumber salad, purple cabbage slaw, white onions, tomatoes, pickles, and lemon tahini sauce. What I loved about the presentation was how they sliced the pita and stuffed the toppings inside the pocket, then placed the eggplant and falafel on the outside before wrapping everything up tightly. It made for a much easier, cleaner eat -- no toppings tumbling out with every bite! My first bite was amazing. The fresh flavors really shined, the falafels were perfectly crispy, and the eggplant had that deep, savory roasted flavor. Every topping complemented the others beautifully, and I walked away completely satisfied. I am so happy I found this fast and healthy option close by! I also grabbed a baklava and a mango sparkling probiotic drink -- both delicious. Beyond the food, they have soft drinks, tea, and lemonade, plus a sauce bar with vinegar and oil if you want to customize your meal even further. Overall, an excellent experience from start to finish. I can't wait to come back and try their other menu options!

And brought guests constantly . The food was always well prepared and at a reasonable price. The owner was always very friendly. BUT I will never again go back to Sofra after my experience last night. Last night I went with a couple of people that I had raved about this restaurant to. The owner, who certainly must've recognized me from the countless times I've eaten there in five years, barely grunted at me and the vibes I got from him were not very welcoming. He seemed really angry about something and was taking it out on his customers. There was only one other table that had customers and this was a Friday night. I found that really odd because other restaurants surrounding Sofra had lots of people sitting outside eating at their restaurants I ordered a falafel plate and others at our table ordered the İskender and another entrée. I practically passed out when I got the bill because I guess I didn't check the prices when I was ordering. The falafel plate, which was basically a spoonful of salad, a spoonful of rice, a few hard burned falafel, soup and a dribbling of tahini was $33. This is obscene. When this restaurant first opened they were charging for the same plate $15 and then they went to $25 after a few years which I thought was pretty high for the food we were getting but $33 is just plain greedy. I won't even do a review on the other two entrées because my party could barely eat them. I now see why there was nobody, literally nobody in this restaurant on a Friday night. And the owner, what happened to him? he used to be such a friendly guy and now he is just an angry man. The waitress never went back to check on us and refill our water after taking our order. Despite only two tables with customers in this restaurant. I read some of the reviews where owner says he hates the fucking country so why doesn't he just leave? There's plenty of really good Mediterranean restaurants that are not going to charge this kind of money for Mediterranean food. Even if the felafel was the best falafel I've ever eaten in my entire life - $33 is crazy. And it was not very good felafel - in fact all the food is mediocre. Where it once was amazing. So my suggestion to the owner is to lower his prices, improve the quality of his food and improve his attitude
