    Enchiladas! Always a good call.
    Tegan T.

Great little restaurant. I wanted to try a locally owned restaurant and the food was great here. It looks to have taken over an old fast food restaurant, but I was surprised the food was presented so nicely and so tasty. I got enchiladas and had enough for left overs. We also tried the bean and cheese pupusa. The blackberry agua fresca was realllly good. There was a bit of a language barrier- pretty sure they typically serve spanish speaking locals, but we didnt have bad service or trouble ordering. If you really dont want to worry about it, I saw several take out orders.

Chicken chimichanga lunch special - huge portion!

Wow! Lempira is amazing and love the authentic and diverse menu options. Had the pleasure of meeting the owner and excited to try out some of the other dishes on our future visits. Must have the fried tamale for an appetizer and a cheese puposa. Also loved the carne Asada mexicana. My husband ordered the chimichanga. He said that it's the best he's ever had. No grease and lots of flavor and a huge portion. This is a hidden gem in the NoDa Area.

First time trying this place. I had beef quesadillas. Absolutely beautiful dish and delicious dish. I barely finished my lunch. Staff was super friendly..food was fast. Don't let the outside appearance fool you. This is an ace!

I didn't know what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised. The steak was very tender and flavorful. The shrimp were very flavorful too. The rice was cooked to perfection and the salad was fresh.

One of the typical plates they serve here. Grilled steak, scrambled eggs with veggies, beans cheese, fried plantains, Avocado.

Excellent food, excellent service, very authentic when it comes to taste as well. Out of all the Latin American cuisines I have found in Charlotte this is one of the best hands down. They serve dishes from Mexico, Honduras and El Salvador. A must try if you are in the mood for Latin food. Breakfast, lunch or dinner! Prices are very reasonable as well.

Great food. Prices were fair, wish some items were cheaper. Only issue was that no one spoke English when I was there.

When I initially visited (in their first couple of months after opening) I was super in love with this place. Unfortunately every experience after that has been super inconsistent. I've ordered their seafood sancocho three times and every single time I've gotten a different dish. The last time I ordered it - it was more so vegetables with 2 teaspoons of broth, some rice and old fried yucca. If you look at the photo - I believe you can tell the yucca looks like it'd been in the fridge for days and they just threw it in there for good measure. The waiter didn't smile and generally looked miserable to have to deal with me. I asked for hot sauce that never came. Just overall, really disappointed in my last experience here and unfortunately won't be retuning due to how inconsistent my last few visits have been. You might get something that tastes decent, you might not.
