Place is beautiful, loved The decoration, excellent service, guacamole and cheese dip were delicious and fresh. Food was ok, chilaquiles sauce was a little sweet, quesabirria's consomé was way too greasy as well as the enfrijoladas.

I came here early afternoon on a thursday abba sat at the bar. It wasn't busy and i was waited on immediately. The bartenders were nice. I ordered a drink, pink panther... while a pretty drink it wasn't good in my opinion. Too sweet. When asked how I liked it, i told them not so much and that it was too sweet. They did remove from my bill. I got the burrito mexicano, with steak added cheese sauce to it, I'd give it a 2.5 out of 5. The refried beans and rice were good. Nice space, lots of seating. And they also have a live dj starting at 6 from what i understand.

I've gone here so many times because the food and drinks are amazing and the prices are affordable! I've gone when they have a live DJ and customers got up and started doing line dances which was so fun! I've also gone for a quick lunch with coworkers, placed delivery orders here, and even went as a last-minute impromptu birthday dinner and they were very accommodating. Zero complaints about the ambiance, quality of service and their bathroom is immaculate. As long as they're in business, I'll be coming back!

Very good establishment that gets the job done each time we've visit. Very spacious inside. Prices are good, food is tasty with a good variety and staff is organized. Alot of people frequent this restaurant. I have no issue and would recommend.

Anywhere with a good ACP, sign me up immediately! The margarita fight was DELICIOUS and I was so happy that my friend who doesn't eat meat could get a veggie bowl that's full of color!

Was super confused with the rebrand (?) Came here with my boyfriend the queso was insane. Super heavy and thick very good. Service was fast our waiter just talked extremely fast. The vibe was cool and kind of loud but I liked the decorations. My bf got a sad ass burrito but he said it was really good. Enchiladas were OK. I order the same thing at every Mexican restaurant so hard to top my favorites. Would probably get something different next time.

Food was very good. My friend and I both got the ACP lunch special. I really enjoyed the queso covered rice and felt like it was a good portion size. There was a little heat to the food (spice) but it wasn't too bad. I appreciate them doing the lunch menu until 4pm. Service was just ok. Our waitress took awhile to greet us and then never came back after the food arrived to the table. We had to ask someone else for the check and then ended up paying at the host stand because she wasn't around to take payment. Overall a good experience and I wouldn't mind eating here again.

Had dinner at Mi Pueblo for the first time this past Saturday night with a friend, and it was amazing, from the food to the service. I ordered their chicken fajita quesadilla with rice and beans, and it was all incredible! The food was very delicious and flavorful, and the portions are HUMONGOUS, so we definitely had leftovers afterward. My friend and I split a queso dip, and it was delicious-no surprise there. I also ordered their horchata, which was pretty good! I think I found a new spot whenever I'm craving Mexican . It's also a great place to get dinner with friends and family.

My colleague and I were looking for something different for our Friday lunch, and he suggested Mi Pueblo. I wasn't looking for anything heavy, as the sauces can sometimes be, and so I wasn't optimistic when I opened the lunch menu. Boy was I surprised! I chose the shrimp fajitas with corn tortillas, and they were great, The guacamole tasted great, the vegetables were fresh and crispy, and the shrimp was al dente with a slight spice to it. My colleague also order the salsa verde, which had a nice kick to it with the chips and sprinkled over the rice. Last but not least the prices was very reasonable. This place was great, and I would recommend it!

Heads up, I didn't get to eat so keep that in mind when reading this review. I visited on a Saturday at 2:30 and within less than 10 mins I'd placed my order. I ended up leaving an hour later as my food had not come out. When I asked, they didn't even know what I'd ordered. I ordered fish tacos for context - I was pretty disappointed because I don't believe that should've taken an hour. I had high hopes when I entered because there was a DJ playing some great tunes. The DJ was doing his THING. We did get our margaritas which were very tasty. However - hunger won and I left to find something else as our servers were not helpful when we expressed our hunger and concerns.

I went to this place for a friend's birthday dinner. The drinks were good and the dish that I ordered was so good I really enjoyed it. I didn't finish it all so I took the rest to go. Live DJ the atmosphere was great and the staff kept checking on us. The only thing I wasn't pleased with was the bday party gratuity that they charge each person at the table. Smh other than that the food was good.

Mi Pueblo is always a vibe. The ambiance is fresh, clean and beautifully decorated. Lots lot seating. Great for large parties or intimate party of 2. Great choice for birthday dinner. This place is ran like a restaurant should be ran. The servers are well trained. As soon as you're seated, servers bring warm chips and salsa. If your server is busy with another party you are always acknowledged that they will be right with you. I've been here a hundred times and they are always consistent. Lots of menu items, great drinks and just about everything is good.

I originally was going to place the order online, but they're online option said it was unavailable so I went inside and sat down at the bar. The service was OK though it seemed most people did not speak English, which is fine. It just made it kind of harder to communicate. That said the food was decent but the reason why I gave two stars was because I feel very misled on pricing. The menu showed Que Siberia tacos three for $12. Steak/Asada tacos for three dollars which brings my total to 15+ the two drinks. I thought she said it was $20.80 so I paid it with my card and gave her five dollars cash for a tip. I get to the car just to double check the transaction and she charged me 3499 on my card and took the cash. I went back inside to confront her about this advising. She completely overcharged me, and she only offered to give my six dollars tip back to me. I am now going to dispute the transaction with my bank because I was unable to resolve this issue. That's sad.

Tacos El Nevado came highly recommended, so I headed over for lunch with high hopes. The restaurant was packed when I arrived around 1:30 p.m., which is usually a good sign. It appears to be a converted fast-food building with its own parking lot, outdoor patio, and a casual, family-friendly atmosphere. Despite the Charlotte heat pushing triple digits, the dining room was comfortable and bustling. Service was friendly from the start, and I was quickly seated with ice water, lemon, fresh chips, and three house-made salsas. The chips were excellent--fresh, crisp, and clearly made in-house. The standout salsa for me was the red salsa, which packed plenty of heat and flavor. There was also a tomatillo salsa and a creamy green avocado-style salsa. Both were good, although the tomatillo leaned a little too tart for my taste. The menu is extensive, with everything from seafood dishes and quesadillas to tacos and larger combination plates. As someone who loves sampling a little of everything, I was hoping for more traditional combo options, but this menu takes a different approach. I ordered the crispy taco plate with rice and beans. The presentation was attractive, with the tacos served upright in a metal rack alongside refried beans and Mexican rice. The rice and beans were both delicious and easily the highlight of the plate. Where things got mixed for me was the taco filling. I was expecting a straightforward seasoned ground beef taco, but the beef filling tasted more like a guisado-style preparation with a softer texture and a slightly tangy flavor profile. It may simply be a regional style or a misunderstanding when ordering, but it wasn't what I had anticipated. The chicken taco, however, was excellent. Tender, flavorful, and clearly made with higher-quality chicken than you typically find in a crispy taco. After trying it, I immediately wished I had ordered all chicken. While this visit didn't completely win me over, I don't think it's fair to judge a restaurant by one dish. The packed dining room, friendly service, fresh chips, excellent salsas, and strong chicken taco all suggest there's more to explore here. Next time, I'd skip the crispy beef tacos and dive into the street tacos or some of the house specialties that seem to be what many regulars were ordering. Tacos El Nevado didn't become my favorite Mexican restaurant in Charlotte on this visit, but it earned a second chance. Life is too short not to eat well, Charlotte. Keep exploring. Sometimes the next great meal is just one menu item away.

I fell in love with Superica when I first moved to Charlotte nearly three years ago, and it quickly…read morebecame one of my go-to spots for reliable, flavorful Tex-Mex. But I have to start with a small heartbreak: my beloved puffy taco is gone. I grew up in San Antonio, Texas, where the puffy taco was created, and it's deeply nostalgic for me. It's not a sope, not a tostada--it's a true puffy taco, light, airy, and unlike anything else. For a long time, Superica made one that came remarkably close to what I grew up with. Unfortunately, after changes in leadership and kitchen management, it quietly disappeared from the menu. That was a real disappointment. That said, I still come back--because the food here is consistently good. The crispy tacos with picadillo are my current favorite. Picadillo (P-I-C-A-D-I-L-L-O) is a traditional Latin dish with many regional variations, and this version reminds me of the one my grandmother used to make in San Antonio. The portions are generous, the flavors are balanced, and the menu offers something for everyone--from enchiladas and chile rellenos to steaks and fresh tableside guacamole. Speaking of guacamole, I'm a purist. I like it simple: avocado, jalapeño, cilantro, lime, garlic--chunky and clean. Superica delivers on that. The chips and salsa are bottomless, the salsa has great depth of flavor, and for those who like heat, they offer a tiny dropper of hot sauce that is smoky, bold, and absolutely not for the faint of heart. The ginger margarita is another standout. It comes with a generous piece of crystallized ginger and has a bright, balanced flavor that makes it easy to order a second one. And if you have room for dessert, do not skip the tres leches cake--rich, decadent, and a perfect way to end the meal. I also appreciate the little touches here: * Friendly, knowledgeable waitstaff * A lively bar area that's great for happy hour * A beautiful outdoor patio that makes al fresco dining feel special * And a fun tradition of sending you home with a packaged Texas praline This South End location is my personal favorite. It feels more adult and relaxed, while the Strawberry Hill location tends to be more family-heavy. Both are good, but the vibe here suits me better. Yes, prices have crept up a bit--as they have everywhere--but the quality, consistency, and atmosphere keep me coming back. And as someone who travels frequently for work across multiple states, I appreciate that Superica maintains a dependable standard wherever I encounter it. Bottom line: Even without the puffy taco, Superica remains one of my favorite Tex-Mex spots in Charlotte. Come hungry, bring friends, share plates--and as always, travel safe and eat well.

I had the cheese enchiladas and it was really delicious. The enchilada sauce was tasty. The rice and beans are also family style and was a nice addition. I did try the chorizo queso and it was a bit too watery for my taste. Service was great and would be back for the Tex Mex food here again.
