Very good establishment that gets the job done each time we've visit. Very spacious inside. Prices are good, food is tasty with a good variety and staff is organized. Alot of people frequent this restaurant. I have no issue and would recommend.

Was super confused with the rebrand (?) Came here with my boyfriend the queso was insane. Super heavy and thick very good. Service was fast our waiter just talked extremely fast. The vibe was cool and kind of loud but I liked the decorations. My bf got a sad ass burrito but he said it was really good. Enchiladas were OK. I order the same thing at every Mexican restaurant so hard to top my favorites. Would probably get something different next time.

Food was very good. My friend and I both got the ACP lunch special. I really enjoyed the queso covered rice and felt like it was a good portion size. There was a little heat to the food (spice) but it wasn't too bad. I appreciate them doing the lunch menu until 4pm. Service was just ok. Our waitress took awhile to greet us and then never came back after the food arrived to the table. We had to ask someone else for the check and then ended up paying at the host stand because she wasn't around to take payment. Overall a good experience and I wouldn't mind eating here again.

Anywhere with a good ACP, sign me up immediately! The margarita fight was DELICIOUS and I was so happy that my friend who doesn't eat meat could get a veggie bowl that's full of color!

Had dinner at Mi Pueblo for the first time this past Saturday night with a friend, and it was amazing, from the food to the service. I ordered their chicken fajita quesadilla with rice and beans, and it was all incredible! The food was very delicious and flavorful, and the portions are HUMONGOUS, so we definitely had leftovers afterward. My friend and I split a queso dip, and it was delicious-no surprise there. I also ordered their horchata, which was pretty good! I think I found a new spot whenever I'm craving Mexican . It's also a great place to get dinner with friends and family.

My colleague and I were looking for something different for our Friday lunch, and he suggested Mi Pueblo. I wasn't looking for anything heavy, as the sauces can sometimes be, and so I wasn't optimistic when I opened the lunch menu. Boy was I surprised! I chose the shrimp fajitas with corn tortillas, and they were great, The guacamole tasted great, the vegetables were fresh and crispy, and the shrimp was al dente with a slight spice to it. My colleague also order the salsa verde, which had a nice kick to it with the chips and sprinkled over the rice. Last but not least the prices was very reasonable. This place was great, and I would recommend it!

Heads up, I didn't get to eat so keep that in mind when reading this review. I visited on a Saturday at 2:30 and within less than 10 mins I'd placed my order. I ended up leaving an hour later as my food had not come out. When I asked, they didn't even know what I'd ordered. I ordered fish tacos for context - I was pretty disappointed because I don't believe that should've taken an hour. I had high hopes when I entered because there was a DJ playing some great tunes. The DJ was doing his THING. We did get our margaritas which were very tasty. However - hunger won and I left to find something else as our servers were not helpful when we expressed our hunger and concerns.

Mi Pueblo is always a vibe. The ambiance is fresh, clean and beautifully decorated. Lots lot seating. Great for large parties or intimate party of 2. Great choice for birthday dinner. This place is ran like a restaurant should be ran. The servers are well trained. As soon as you're seated, servers bring warm chips and salsa. If your server is busy with another party you are always acknowledged that they will be right with you. I've been here a hundred times and they are always consistent. Lots of menu items, great drinks and just about everything is good.

I believe this was my first time at Mi Pueblo or I just haven't been in a while but my experience was great ! From the food, service and the ambiance. I ordered the loco veggie bowl and it was a great big portion, so you'll definitely get your moneys worth !! I also ordered a virgin daiquiri, and it too was huge, but amazing. I will definitely be back to this location in the future, no doubt in my mind!

The new name is Ma'Luz and it is a really nice spot. A friend recommended eating here and it did not disappoint. We sat next to the fountains and they had music playing which was very nice. It was still early afternoon so they also had a brunch menu. I ordered the chicken taquitos with the sweet corn sauce and the cheese and bean dip. My daughter ordered the house special with beef (two burritos I think). The food was good and so was the sweet tea. The staff was great as well. Definitely a place I plan on visiting again!

This location has consistently gone downhill since it opened.... And last night we decided it would be our last time giving it "another chance". The large queso portion was almost half the size it usually is and super milky/runny, when we asked as it arrived they told us "they got new bowls".... Steak chimichanga was absolutely FILLED with oil from the fryer. So much oil it wasn't even edible.... The rice in the ACP was old and there were pieces of hard, dried rice, scattered throughout...and in general the whole plate was super dry and gross. The chips were also not fresh.

I have been wanting to try their brunch for the longest time and they did not disappoint. I got the margarita flight which was only $12 ! And I also ordered the steak skillet and dulce de leche pancakes. Boy oh boy was it delicious. The skillet came out sizzling and it was packed with flavor . The pancakes were just the right amount of fluff and sweetness and not overwhelming thick. The margarita flight was done just right . Our server Cathy was wonderful and attentive . I would definitely give their brunch a 10/10 . The time for their brunch is Saturday and Sunday only 10am-2pm . The brunch was extremely reasonable! Around $50

On a recent visit, my wife and I started with a bowl of chips and queso, accompanied by a pair of oversized house margaritas. When I complained to our server about my drink's disappointing lack of kick, he took it off the bill and recommended the far superior Patron Cadillac Margarita, which improved my mood in a hurry. For dinner, I dove into a delicious taco combo platter of steak, carnitas and baja fish, while my wive enjoyed a tasty Taco Salad. Service was outstanding throughout our meal, the prices were reasonable, and the ambiance superb. Well worth a visit if you're looking for solid Mexican food and margaritas in Charlotte.

That said the food was decent but the reason why I gave two stars was because I feel very misled on pricing. The menu showed Que Siberia tacos three for $12. Steak/Asada tacos for three dollars which brings my total to 15+ the two drinks. I thought she said it was $20.80 so I paid it with my card and gave her five dollars cash for a tip. I get to the car just to double check the transaction and she charged me 3499 on my card and took the cash. I went back inside to confront her about this advising. She completely overcharged me, and she only offered to give my six dollars tip back to me. I am now going to dispute the transaction with my bank because I was unable to resolve this issue. I fell in love with Superica when I first moved to Charlotte nearly three years ago, and it quickly…read morebecame one of my go-to spots for reliable, flavorful Tex-Mex. But I have to start with a small heartbreak: my beloved puffy taco is gone. I grew up in San Antonio, Texas, where the puffy taco was created, and it's deeply nostalgic for me. It's not a sope, not a tostada--it's a true puffy taco, light, airy, and unlike anything else. For a long time, Superica made one that came remarkably close to what I grew up with. Unfortunately, after changes in leadership and kitchen management, it quietly disappeared from the menu. That was a real disappointment. That said, I still come back--because the food here is consistently good. The crispy tacos with picadillo are my current favorite. Picadillo (P-I-C-A-D-I-L-L-O) is a traditional Latin dish with many regional variations, and this version reminds me of the one my grandmother used to make in San Antonio. The portions are generous, the flavors are balanced, and the menu offers something for everyone--from enchiladas and chile rellenos to steaks and fresh tableside guacamole. Speaking of guacamole, I'm a purist. I like it simple: avocado, jalapeño, cilantro, lime, garlic--chunky and clean. Superica delivers on that. The chips and salsa are bottomless, the salsa has great depth of flavor, and for those who like heat, they offer a tiny dropper of hot sauce that is smoky, bold, and absolutely not for the faint of heart. The ginger margarita is another standout. It comes with a generous piece of crystallized ginger and has a bright, balanced flavor that makes it easy to order a second one. And if you have room for dessert, do not skip the tres leches cake--rich, decadent, and a perfect way to end the meal. I also appreciate the little touches here: * Friendly, knowledgeable waitstaff * A lively bar area that's great for happy hour * A beautiful outdoor patio that makes al fresco dining feel special * And a fun tradition of sending you home with a packaged Texas praline This South End location is my personal favorite. It feels more adult and relaxed, while the Strawberry Hill location tends to be more family-heavy. Both are good, but the vibe here suits me better. Yes, prices have crept up a bit--as they have everywhere--but the quality, consistency, and atmosphere keep me coming back. And as someone who travels frequently for work across multiple states, I appreciate that Superica maintains a dependable standard wherever I encounter it. Bottom line: Even without the puffy taco, Superica remains one of my favorite Tex-Mex spots in Charlotte. Come hungry, bring friends, share plates--and as always, travel safe and eat well.
