The last time I ordered it - it was more so vegetables with 2 teaspoons of broth, some rice and old fried yucca. If you look at the photo - I believe you can tell the yucca looks like it'd been in the fridge for days and they just threw it in there for good measure. The waiter didn't smile and generally looked miserable to have to deal with me. I asked for hot sauce that never came. Just overall, really disappointed in my last experience here and unfortunately won't be retuning due to how inconsistent my last few visits have been. Their 3 tamales special is fairly cheap for $11-$12 and come with rice and beans. I say that the quality is a bit dependent on date/time, but this is slightly just a natural issue with the tamales themselves, and how long they can sit in the steamer. Sometimes, they can be a little dry. The only drawback is that the dough to filling ratio can be a little lob sided towards the doughy, which isn't the best. But, flavor-wise, you can't go wrong here!
