The windows inner front rooms are way too large, it's hard to find curtains that block out the ungodly amount of light in the mornings, and you certainly can't get curtains for the windows ABOVE the windows in the bedroom. Its all looks, no practicality. It's a shit house for half a million dollars. It's a massive scam, and I could take the half mil to build my own house, without the HOA bullshit and with better privacy. Here the houses are about as close as a human wingspan. Anyone who chooses to buy these houses has got to have lost their minds. Good thing I'm only living here and I'm moving out! So have 5 other households I've noticed.‍

The home was built in Canyon Lake in 2021, and the three tab shingle roof has repeatedly lost shingles during normal wind events. The roof has already been repaired twice, yet the same issue continues happening. At this point, I am likely facing a roof replacement on a home that is only a few years old. A properly installed roof should not be failing this early or requiring repeated repairs under normal conditions. I brought these concerns to the builder, but the situation has still not been resolved. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I cannot recommend Modern Lakes Builders.
