I purchased glasses there for the first time 6 months ago. I have gone back every other week since. These glasses do not fit properly. I have red gouges on both sides of my nose along with deep indents on my temples. They are the most uncomfortable pair of glasses I have ever owned. Every time I go in they adjust them. Six times adjusted and still the same as they were, however they did offer me $50 towards a new pair. $50.00 ? I can't wear these. The $50 will not get me a new pair. I'll never go back here. They can keep their $50, I'll go elsewhere and be out the close to $500 I paid. The customer service was terrible . Don't go here ! read more

Expect an excessive number of follow-up inquiries on questions already answered at booking, and threats to cancel your appointment if you are not willing to participate in their inefficient process and policies. Desk appears married to these inefficient practices and lacks accountability to acknowledge the duplicative line of questioning and escalating tone. While surprised and put-off that a business would immediately threaten cancellation if I don't repeatedly answer a question, I appreciate the visibility that I couldn't previously glean, that this LC lacks organization, customer focus mission, and possibly employee engagement. I found my way to Yelp due to my recent interactions, and it looks like my experience isn't anything new. I accepted and agreed with their recommendations to cancel with a clear conscience. I wish I saw the previous reviews before going to this Lens Crafters for my very first time. If I could give ZERO STARS, I WOULD. I was told my glasses will be ready after 10 days instead of 13 if I paid extra....And as you can assume based on my rating, it's been 10 days and my glasses aren't ready. I'm a full time finance college student and I can't see the board without my glasses, and now I won't be able to see the board for another 5 days of class. DO NOT GO HERE! Never ever go there. I walked in and the receptionist was sitting there. I stated my business and she said we are closed. I asked until what time. I got an answer and walked away. As I was walking away, she yells "do you have a problem with that". I asked to speak to her manger and she mocked me and said I am the manger and there is nothing you can do about it. We had words and she should be fired. Under no circumstances should she treat customers like like that. My son was with me and was appalled at her behavior. Oh been waiting 3 weeks and counting on one pair of glasses. I need for work and migraines all they say it will be a few more days every time I called on the dates when they say they would have them in. An these are minor prescriptions as well nothing special. The staff after you pay are mouthy and a bit of smartass. I asked for a refund they pretended the system was down and couldn't do a refund. I went down the street to Walmart before the 3rd week of waiting and got my glasses in 5 days and cheaper. So I will never go to this location ever again. If you look at the majority of the clients that go in the it's mostly elderly and ppl with Alzheimer's so they can BS them. read more

Whatever you do don't do any business with this location. I have been here two separate occasions to get prescription glasses and each time they have messed up on the prescriptions. The first time they got the lenses and the prescription incorrect twice. So I asked for a refund which I had a lot of trouble getting. The third time I went back to get two pair of prescription transitional Ray-Ban glasses and one pair of Ray-Ban prescription sunglasses. When I went to pick my order up they gave me three prescription sunglasses. This place is incompetent and doesn't know how to do the orders correctly and they will not give refunds. I went into this store today and I'm really glad I did. I was helped with my eyeglasses and lenses by Tanya Wright. She helped me from finish to end and she was professional and outstanding in every way. I had my doubts about getting my bifocals but she explained everything about them to me and took the time to make sure everything was perfect. This review is not about Dr. Patel, the optometrist. It is about the store, and sales associates. Upon exiting the exam room I was walked out to the store front and told someone would be right with me to provide assistance. There were four associates, 2 were chatting and 2 were with customers. I stood at the service desk in the middle awaiting assistance, but none was forthcoming. As I began to ask for assistance (3 or 4 minutes later) a group of 4 or 5 women and younger girls walk on and the two chatty women immediately moved to help them with whatever their hearts desired. I ensed choosing a bunch of frames for myself and then an associate came to help me. After choosing frames we went over lenses, I picked some (HD with antiglare coat) and paid. I was then tols the lens grinder was down and it would be a week to 12 days for my glasses to be ready. A week later I went to pick them up, but I was told a lens was loose (it was falling out of nudged), and a manager saw and said she wasn't comfortable sending someone away with poor quality glasses. Now over another week later i was told they were delayed, and not given a timeline. I called to complain and see if there was some recourse I could take and was told they would communicate better... Avoid lenscrafters, find somewhere with a good reputation for prompt service. read more

The service we have recieved at the LensCrafters at Auburn mall goes above and beyond. Not only did they have frames to fit my two year old - very hard to find- but they are also very patient with him. Plus they go out of their way to get his glasses ready fast. From sending someone to another store to get the special order lenses in days instead of weeks, to grinding the lenses to fit in record time so I didn't have to wait an hour with the kids they've made getting the glasses and keeping them repaired a very positive experience. As a mom i am very grateful to have found a place with people who are so nice to my son and who really work hard to make our visits easier. I can't say enough good things about them. As I am reading others experiences I am seeing a lot of the same issues - rude staff, no communication to the customer, orders that are sent out are taking a lot longer than customers were told. I had a terrible experience in the Auburn, MA store. First, the staff (with the exception of the receptionist) were loudly being snarky and rude to each other. One of the Dr.'s (a male) came out to the waiting area, and 2 employees jumped all over him about how they haven't eaten lunch. The Dr. apparently made a decision in a very low voice and one staff, a blonde older woman, blurted "whatever, you're in charge" and walked away. Then, inside the appointment I was asked if I had booked a contact "fitting." I said I needed a contact prescription but was unsure what a "fitting" was - I've worn contacts for over 30 years. The Dr. (a female) said that's what a fitting is, so I said yes. When I was leaving, I went to pay. I had been told my co-pay was $45. Instead, it was $80 MORE because, as was explained when I asked, I requested a contact fitting. So, the end result is I will NEVER come back, I will not order glasses or contacts from this store, and I will spread the word far and wide that this store is both unprofessional and love to do the bait-and-switch.
