For the past couple years, I have paid for my wife to go to Lens Crafters to get her eyes scanned for a better prescription, and usually we have no issues, but this time due to a change in insurance, we decided to have her glasses done with them as well. Something that will never happen again! She ended up paying for a new pair of reading glasses and had her Brighton sunglasses measured for new lenses. The reading glasses were done in a week; however, when she went to pick them up she was told the others needed to be sent out and they would call us when they were ready. Three weeks after ordering them, and after no call back, my wife called them to check and was told the sunglasses would be ready in an hour, so I went to pick them up for her. When I arrived I was told it would be another 30 minutes. I came back again and was told another 30 minutes. I gave them 45 minutes this time, but that wasn't even enough. When I came back, the guy from the lab brought out the sunglasses and told me if my wife wanted them darker she would have to bring them back. When I asked what she ordered I was told a 3 on the darkness of the lenses and then I was told they are about a 2 or 2.5. Now I already don't like being lied to regarding when something will be ready for pick up, especially during COVID-19, and in light of the fact that most of the stores in the Mall are closed, but this is stupidity in its' finest form. I asked the lab tech why we weren't told this to begin with and he said he originally told his co-worker about an hour and a half. Well, now it has been 2 hours and 15 minutes; what is your excuse now moron, or in your case-less on? I told the guy to do his job and my wife would pick them up in the morning. The glasses were ready 10 minutes later. How hard is it to just tell the customer you will call them when they are ready, and then actually call them? I could have continued with my day and stopped by later, but instead, and because of poorly trained staff members, I lost 2 hours and 15 minutes of my day off. Thanks Lens Crafters! Maybe the staff there should consider getting new glasses too, because you are obviously having a hard time seeing just how much you suck at customer service!!!! read more

Ugh if the manager was here... I forget her name, but tattooed, red hair and piercings. She was the absolute best. I don't trust anyone w my glasses and she was amazing. Always adjusted them for me perfectly. Came in today which is a 30 min drive. Just to find out that she no longer works here. I don't know what I'll do. I asked to have one of the people in back do it for me. The lady up front was really rude telling me their busy and I'd have to wait. Ok I don't mind waiting. Just never the same now. read more

I ordered a pair of sunglasses here and was told it would only take 10 days to have them cut for my prescription. It took 27 days. I was lied to every 3 days when I would call to check the status. I understand things can get messed up but I would prefer that they be honest with me and not feed me a bunch of bull each time I spoke with them. I went to Lenscrafters because I was unhappy with the results of my optometrist for the last 3 years. My prescription was off, even after adjustments, so wanted a 2nd opinion...and would have considered changing doctors if I was pleased. My experience was horrible! When the doctor learned that I was self-pay she treated me like I wasn't worth her time. She was rude about my responses to her questions and spoke to me in a condescending manner. I have been trying to get my contact RX for a month now. They do not share the same file system (EMR) with their other locations so during a pandemic, I have no way of getting my RX. All they have you do is fill out a survey.... ? (doesn't seem very efficient, obviously). I have been wearing 2 torn contacts and can't get in for an exam because my last exam was less than a year ago.. but my issue isn't considered an emergency. I dont even want to walk in to a location. All I'm asking for is an RX. What kind of place in 2020 has this same flaw. I will never be using this place for any service in the future. read more

I was told 7-10 days for my glasses. I called on the 13th day. I was told by Mark that he couldn't give an answer as to when they might be complete, but possibly another 11 days. His comment that "I would know as much as he did" was lazy and more than a little aggravating. When I asked if he could check with the lab on delivery his answer was "no". He'd have the manager call me the next day. Such an incredibly unprofessional response. Lousy customer service. I hope the lab is better than the salespeople. We'll see when I finally get the glasses. read more

I'm very upset with this place. I spent over $500 for glasses and bought the insurance. They Assured me that I can get insurance in case lost or stolen. Well I had a bad accident and I come back to report. And they told me that my insurance is not good for anything. They will give you wrong information and you will overspend. Everyone is stuck up and rude. When I went in to get my eyes checked they didn't even do the contacts size. So I lost my glasses and I can't get contacts cause they are lazy. And they work so fast that they don't take care of your tire needs. I give you one star cause that's the lowest possible thing I can give. read more

I had an eye exam for both contacts and glasses with Dr. Casie Headrick and it was, by far, the best eye exam I have ever had. Dr. Headrick was so friendly and explained all my options before continuing. I had an eye exam last year and I didn't need to be dilated this year which was very convenient. She did not push us to purchase glasses or contacts with LensCrafters. read more

After having to coming back three times because they sold me lenses that would not work with the frames they suggested for me they STILL haven't been able to get my order taken care of. Erica in particular was less than helpful, though their lens tech Kris or Keith was the only one who seemed to know what was going on. read more

The lack of professionalism should have been my only signal to never go back. The optometrists are a liability to the frame sales department. My 12 yr old daughter has endured four eye exams in a single year. The last was at no charge as I asked for a recheck since she had worse vision with the new glasses She was made to feel responsible for the need for added exams. I have great eye insurance and now have had to pay out of pocket for their negligence, ignorance & arrogance. Opthamologist are a better use of one's dollars. Lesncrafters cost of their "Clarifey" tool costs 20$ more than the Opthamologist office I visited today. The eye exam team need to be avoided at all costs. read more

Eye exam with their independent doctor on 7/13 went well but getting the prescription glasses is where things went wrong. Originally told to expect glasses in 5-7 days. Decided to shop around before making the decision and returned to the store on 7/15 to browse frames and now was told 7-10 days by one clerk. Still reasonable but when the selection was made with a different clerk and after payment was processed (with difficulty in matching their own quote for two days prior) the wait time increased to 10-14 days. On day 12 I returned to the store to check progress and was told they were shipped UPS two days ago and expected to arrive today or day 13. On day 14 heard nothing and decided to try to contact on day 15. Day 15 is a Sunday but posted online hours and hours posted on the door said open at 11am. When I called at 11:30 there was no answer or answering machine after letting it ring for 2 minutes. Decided to return again to check progress and found the store closed with no sign indicating change of hours but the doctors office posted hours was noon so decided to wait to see if they showed up to ask the question. As of 12:15 they to were no-shows so I left. Understand Covid staffing issues but no excuse for not having a functioning answering machine or a temporary sign on the door with updated business hours. If anyone at Lenscrafters actually reads this would recommend at a minimum that you give your customers the UPS tracking information so we can monitor shipping progress instead of calling and waiting indefinitely on hold (assuming phone even answered) or waste time coming to a closed store. read more

My husband wanted a pair of glasses that LensCrafters had in stock. The process to order them was quick, friendly and no pressure. I really appreciated the sales associate who was willing to look at different options and compare prices. The icing on the cake...she told us his glasses would be ready in only an HOUR! I got my eye exam here and the optometrist was very nice and friendly. Unfortunately, the eye exam experience was 100% better than the buying experience. I selected my frames, and than went about selecting what lenses I wanted. The elderly sales lady tried up charging me for all the premium lenses, and when I declined saying I just wanted the basic lenses my insurance provides she became very irritable and combative. Explaining to me that she knew better and continued to try to up sell me. The difference in price was around 350$.I ended up paying no more than 90$ for my frames/ lenses. The alarming thing was how vague the sales person was. She told me my frames could be ready in 4 days or it could take 3 weeks, and she has no idea when the lenses will arrive. I asked if I'll get a text or an email, and again she said she didn't know. The whole process felt very combative, vague, and now I'm not sure when I'll get my new glasses. I guess ill call in a few days to find out. I would recommend buying your frames/ lenses online and negating the combative sales experience all together. It'll probably save the headache, and the bad experience. read more

While the staff is really helpful, the quality of the finished product complete frame and glasses is poor. The glasses had a high prism and were poorly cut and not fit into the frame. Almost $500 that does not even compare to a complete frame and glasses from Costco that was meant to be the spare.The Costco eyewear cost $130. I ordered glasses on 6/22 and they didn't come in till 7/31. Over 5 weeks. Not very happy.

My BF,who is on my vision plan,made an appointment for an eye exam.When he went for the exam,he was told the he was not eligible under my plan as it was not eff. until 6/1/17-even tho he told them that the card he presented was a brand new card and that he has been covered under my plan for the last 2 years.He asked them to please check with the insurance company and was told "we don't have the time to do that"!!! Seriously!!?? Is that what customer service has become now?? When he returned home-I called the insurance and was told that yes,he was covered and they did not know why he was told he wasn't.I then called Lenscrafters and was told by a Michelle that she did not call the insurance as "I don't have the time for that"!! I then asked to speak to her manager who actually had the nerve to lie to me and said that Michelle checked the insurance-after Michelle herself had said she didn't! She then tried to tell me that they wouldn't be able to contact the insurance as it was closed.I told her that I had all my insurance info right in front of me stating they were open 7 days a week and that I myself had just spoken with them confirming that yes-my BF WAS covered. She then became quite rude stating that they just didn't have time for checking a patients insurance.Really?? Is this how you run a business?? I will NEVER go to another Lenscrafters again and will discourage anyone else from patronizing their establishment. And I would suggest to the owner of this particular store that he do some customer training with his employees-because without customer-you have no business! read more
