This is a great location with great customer service. I only stopped by to pick out a pair of glasses (NO EYE EXAM) and I was very pleased with their wide selection. I recently went to the LensCrafters in the Southbay Galleria and they did not have some of the great styles or brands that I saw at this location. With most eyeglass prescriptions, you can take your eyeglasses home the same day, but if you have a very strong prescription like myself, you will be forced to wait 7-10 days--Which is still a lot shorter than I'd be forced to wait if I were to purchase with my healthcare provider. LensCrafters has a great hassle free return/exchange policy which is nice. Don't forget to get your parking validated if you park underground. read more

I truly hate to be that person that has to write a negative review on anything- and I don't. I'm actually pretty calm by nature but after what happened today, I just can't take my mind off of it. I spoke with Anthony over the phone, dark hair guy with clear glasses, who said I can only come in if it's an emergency. I let him know my sunglasses got bent and I would need them for driving. He then made a Covid-19 joke, which I really can't remember, but thought, not really something to make fun of. I should have taken that as a sign. I sent pictures to a friend who works at Ray Ban and said it was an easy fix, so rather than drive far to him, I went to LensCrafters since it's much closer. Anthony did warn me it would not be his fault if he broke them, which I completely understand. I've been going to LensCrafters for about 15 years and they always warn you. What I did not accept was how he handled my glasses. He just jammed it back aggressively. Less than 3 seconds (no joke) he broke the leg off, the screw fell to the floor, and quite casually told me they're broken. I was just beyond shocked. Literally out of a comedy show. I've had way worse situations than the one today, and LensCrafters (at least in San Francisco and AZ) ALWAYS delicately handled my glasses. They would carefully examine it, heat it, everything to make it right. Which is why I assumed the same would happen. He offered 30% off for another frame. Really? Pretty sure there were some promotions already. I had to ask Anthony for the screw that fell off the glasses, otherwise I'm sure he would have just left it on the ground. He even proceeded to tell me someone else can heat the part, making it seem like it was a welder's job. What I found interesting was how awkward he became after. He kept apologizing in a guilty way- several times. Deep down he knew what a lazy job he did. You would think with the store being empty, he would have more free time to be considerate. The reality is, all the screws were in place. Like my friend had said, you just had to loosen the screw and put it back in. Thank God for him. A Ray Ban employee will actually get to fix my problem, and he even stated that if that ever happened at their store, they would have replaced my glasses all together. I strongly, strongly urge people to go to their designer stores than this LensCrafters. Maybe because my glasses were worn out, Anthony didn't feel the need to actually fix them. This store, because I will not bash the company, has no consideration if glasses can have sentimental value. I will never return to this store- this was the second horrible experience I had. I know, shame on me, for going twice. The first being that they didn't want to accept my recent prescription because it was from Mexico. It had all the contact info there, and I even showed them my old prescription from LensCrafters, and how there wasn't that much of a change to my vision. I was rudely dismissed and was told I needed to take a new examine, which I couldn't afford because I didn't have insurance. Again, I was upset, but I dismissed it and didn't want to waste my time or energy on writing that incident. Hours have passed since my experience with Anthony and I still can't grasp how it all went down. Please people, go to another store/ LensCrafters to get your glasses fix. read more

I was under the impression that Lens Crafters was an affordable alternative to a real eye doctor. Not the case at all. When my son broke his glasses and we needed a new pair over the weekend before school on Monday, we made an appointment and went to Lens Crafters. We waited for what seemed like forever, about 90 mins after our appointment time, then they charged 3 TIMES the cost of the glasses we were waiting for from our real eye doctor. They said it was because they were out of the lenses we needed, they only had my son's prescription in this particular lens which is very expensive "and you said you needed them today." Doesn't that sound like they over charged me bc they knew it was an emergency? No compassion, terrible service, overpriced. I do not recommend this business. read more

By far the most unprofessional service I have ever encountered! I called and had my prescription faxed over and two pairs of Prada eyeglasses on hold. I arrive and started looking at glasses, for at least 15 minutes. No one greeted me. There were 4 employees laughing and conversing, primping in the mirrors, trying on glasses. I asked if there was a que- for I needed help. The gentleman sighed and said what do you want? I stated I had called ahead, put two Prada frames on hold and had my prescription faxed over. He started going through a basket- asked my name three times, was opening up Ray Ban cases and inspecting the contents- obviously I had put Prada frames on hold- not Ray Bans. He said well they are not here. And asked my name again. I gave him the frame # and he just pointed to them on display, and walked away. I stood there and tried the two on- not once did anyone ask me if I needed help- or anything. I waited around for 22 minutes- and finally asked for my prescription. The young woman seemed bothered I would do so- and asked if I wanted a copy or the original. I asked for the original and stated I planned on purchasing two pairs of Prada frames and a pair of prescription sunglasses - but obviously no one in here is interested to helping me so I will take my business elsewhere. She tried to acknowledge me and offer help- but it was too late. I was inside for 33 minutes total. And I had to seek help. There was every opportunity to help me. (NOTE: The issue was with RayBan, not with LensCrafters) The incredible Miss Q explained how the mistake could happen, gave my husband options for new lenses that LensCrafters would create + she explained lens options best suited for his eyes. Then Q fit me for an awesome new pair of prescription sunglasses. Q wasn't just knowledgeable + informative. She was lovely, engaging, personable + fun. You could tell how much she loves her career. Talk about upselling !! I went in to get a simple new set of lenses for my eyeglasses. I wanted to keep my original frames and just get new lenses. The sales lady (I wish I had gotten her name) refused to answer my question "How much does it cost for new lenses?" and instead kept talking to me about their "new great package deal" which includes new frames and lenses and oh you can get the new blue light protection for only $40 more because did you know that blue light from phones and computers can damage your retina? I don't like scare tactics and it took me 3 tries to get her to answer the question about lenses. The final verdict: new lenses alone cost the same amount of money as their "package deal" with new frames and lenses. What a rip off! I found a great place called Eye Tailor not too far away that offers lenses for HALF THE PRICE. Don't waste your money on this big box store. I stopped by this store during the COVID 19 crisis. They were not open as usual but were open for pickup of online orders. My problem was, I had a pair of glasses that I had bought somewhere else, and broken two weeks ago (knocked the right temple clean off), no place was open, and I was unable to repair them myself. The nice woman took my glasses and said, "I'll check with the technician and see how long it will take." About 10 minutes later she came back, and they were completely repaired. I offered to pay for the service, and she politely declined, so I told her when business returns to normal I'll come in for my next pair. They could not have been more kind, polite, and professional, especially during a crisis of this magnitude. Excellent service, thank you. read more

I've been using Lenscrafters for the past 5 years and have dealt with 4 different locations around Los Angeles. Look I know the downside can be waiting a long time which can be annoying but they really make up for it here with customer service! My yearly box of contacts that I ordered last October 2019 ran out because the first few months tore right after taking them out! It's now July I've been wearing my last pair for 2 whole months and we're in the middle of a pandemic so I have been hesitant with spending my money as I'm unemployed. I recently moved making this location my closest Lenscrafters, so I called them up to see how much everything would be costing me and my now tight budget. The first time I called a man answered and they were too busy to speak to me so they asked if they could call me back end of day. I said, sure of course, they had recently reopened so I had understood. The call back wasn't till the next day which I wasn't available to answer unfortunately. Fast forward a week later I realize my eyes are burning and I desperately need a new pair of contacts! I call them up and this time a woman named Betty answers the phone. Let me start off by saying how thankful I am that I got Betty this time! She was very patient with me and helped navigate all my pricing questions and options. When I told her my situation as well and asked if they had a trial to tide me over until my yearly box of contacts came in she assisted me with that as well. Luckily there was one last trial with my contact prescription and I told her I'd be right there. She set it aside on hold for me and I was in an out to pick it up. I really appreciate this gesture because I lost 3-4 pairs of my contacts last year due to the ripping right out of the box (I've worn contacts for 20 years and this has never happened) so I felt that this really helped make up for that! I came here for an eye exam because the last time I got one was about 2.5 years ago and I'm happy I did. It was my first time doing an eye exam at LensCrafters and the first time I had to pay out of pocket (no insurance). Compared to other places in town, LensCrafters was a bargain at $75. Everywhere else was upwards of about $120 and up. Michael was great, and Dr. Meredith Barber was very sweet and welcoming. The exam was about 30-45 min and very detailed. I didn't buy glasses from this location because they didn't have the brand I was looking for (Oliver Peoples), but Revi was also very helpful in helping pick a few that I was interested in. All in all, I had a have pleasant experience at this location and will definitely will back for my next eye exam. read more

This review is purely about the customer service experience I had with one of sales associates, Kim. After being told by the doctor, post exam, that I had had my eyes dilated, Kim was unfortunately for me, assigned to help me. Having never had glasses before, I asked a few questions about frame and lens pricing, explaining that I wanted to check out the cheapest options. To start, Kim spoke to me like I was an idiot, at which point I felt I had to clarify that I had never worn glasses and was unfamiliar with the process. I asked if I could try on the cheapest pair of glasses, to which I was told "We don't have glasses you can try on at the store", a confusing sentence by a sales rep in an eye glass store. I then clearly stated, "If I'm going to buy glasses today, I want the cheapest pair. Where are those?" She then pointed me to the 50% off designer section, where I was clearly having trouble reading any price up close. Did anyone in the store offer help? No. Then, I brought her the frames I looked at, and asked if she could read me the price. After telling me that the cheapest pair in the store was $300, I saw a sign far behind her that said $99 frames, so I asked where those were. She pointed me to a group of frames, which I tried on in vain, even though I clearly could not see the brand or price. I observed her whisper something about me to another associate before I approached the counter and said I was not going to purchase anything and would just like to pay. After ringing me up, she handed me the paperwork from the doctor, and I asked what type of drops she had suggested. She said it wasn't written on my paperwork. The cherry on top was when I asked for help calling an Uber since I very clearly could not see, and after trying to walk away, no one helped. read more

I've been a patient at this location for 3 or maybe 4 years now. I enjoy coming here, I feel the staff is very intelligent and equipped to answer any questions relating to eye care. The optometrist was also amazing. I've never had an issue with waiting past my schedule appointment time or insurance problems. The staff seems to have everything ready in the computer prior to my appointment, which makes the visit seem less and quick. read more

First let me start by saying I have had nothing but great experiences with the physicians at this location! Dr. P is very helpful and takes her time explaining everything about glasses and contacts. I can't say enough about how professional and excellent the doctors here are! However, I am new to contact lenses and was given a trial for five days. Once the trial was over I decided on the lenses that I wanted and asked them to order them for me. While I was there I found that I could order the same lenses online for $60 less for a 90 day supply. When I asked if they would meet the price they said no and then I decided to order them myself online. They then would not give me another five day of trial lenses while I wait for my order to ship, simply because I was not ordering from them. I contacted Acuvue and they said my trail should've been given for two weeks. Keep in mind that I have paid them a 100 dollar lens fitting fee. I should be able to order from whomever I choose. I will no longer use LensCrafters for my exams, ordering my glasses or contacts. This was very offputting since it seems like they did not provide me a full trial purely because I wanted to save 240 dollars over the course of a year. read more

You will NEVER get your glasses in an hour, you may get them in FOUR and that's if your order is even correct. This was my SECOND time at LensCrafters. The first time I waited 2 hours (after I'd already waited a week for the new lenses) for them to tell me that my lenses were sized incorrectly. I went to pick up my original glasses and the person working gave me an "oh well" shoulder shrug after I'd gone all day, basically blind. I rescheduled and was told that it would take an hour AGAIN. Two and a half hours later I was still sitting in LensCrafters. Luckily, I went ahead and ordered a second pair of the same glasses as back up from an online company the night that I had this issue with LensCrafters and got that pair yesterday. Paid 60% less and my lenses were correct and arrived faster. A shame. This will be my last order with LensCrafters. Ever. read more

I've been a LensCrafters customer for years, from Hong Kong to LA. A week ago on Sunday, I called this branch to order a box of 30 contact lenses, which happened to be an hour before closing because they are located the closest to me. I was invited to a party I hadn't planned on going to so I wanted to buy lenses for the occasion. I've always received a trial pack of lenses in the past to get me through until my order arrives. The lady on the phone, asks me why I'm not buying 'a box of 90' lenses and why I'm ordering a box of 30 that will last me for 2 weeks only. Er...because...I usually wear glasses and save wearing contacts only for when I'm going out? Which is not that often. But why should I have to explain myself? I would think I'm pretty capable of knowing what I'm buying exactly and have been buying for the past year. Cue audible sigh on the other end of the phone. Sounds like she's mad at me for not spending money on a bigger order that I should spend elsewhere on an already tight budget and possibly mad at me for asking if they have a trial pack of lenses to give so that I could wear a pair that night. I get to the store, and wait a long 10 mins before anyone realises I'm at the counter. Lady from on the phone, older, short stocky build, possibly of South Asian descent (she sounded Indian on the phone) walks over and I explain who I am and that I spoke to someone about ordering a box of 30 lenses. There is no greeting, no smile, I'll be damned if there was any eye contact actually. But she knows who I am because without looking up, she pulls out TWO lenses (not a full trial pack of 10) and slaps them on the counter top. O.......k. She then faffs around on the register, looking up God knows what (that is taking longer than it ever has before) to ring up my bill. Still no eye contact and not much word. She proceeds to charge me $42.xx when the box is $29.95 - I tell her that's wrong and the box is about $30 unless it went up $12 since I last got contacts. No apology or even acknowledgement for getting the price wrong whatsoever. Still no smile and no eye contact and I start to feel really offended. Now, I am already spending a lot more money for these lenses when I know I can get the same lenses for 30% less at Costco. So it wouldn't hurt to have a) decent customer service. I'm not asking for the red carpet, the least a paying customer can ask for is service with a smile! A greeting and a thank you wouldn't go amiss either!!! b) the correct charge for what I'm buying with no error (a similar error was made 6 months ago when a friend from out of town bought my lenses for me after I gave him the cash to pick them up, he was charged $7 too much for the wrong order when I'd already placed an order by phone. Wouldn't a customer history show what I usually buy as opposed to what I was being charged for instead??). So after I get my receipt, there was no thank you for my custom, no reassurance that I'd be called when the order comes in, nothing. I take my card and leave. If I wasn't already late, I'd have asked her why she was being so rude and whether she serves all her customers this way. Reading another Yelp review, I find I'm not the only one. I called the much friendlier branch at Westside Pavilion and they gave me a corporate number to call and register my concerns. I called this store back to get her name, she said she was Elly. The following Monday, I called the corporate office and told them what happened. I was assured that I would get a call within 3 days from the store. Come Friday, nothing. Fed up, I called the branch to just cancel the order and be done with it. Another lady, who seems to actually be trained in customer service and sounding concerned, asked why I wanted to cancel. I explained all of the above again and she offered to give me a 50% discount on the order. I do need the lenses so I accepted the offer. But will I be going back to this branch for a brand new order next time? Nope. Not without suggesting an intensive training course on how to BE NICE to paying customers for Mrs-Working-Here-Must-Suck-Cos-I-Don't-Like-My-Customers-And-They-Will-Know-That-I-Don't-Like-Them! Also, i see from other reviewers it's about the same now as it was then. Staff are pretentious, a$$holes - don't care about you, not friendly - seriously mean. I had a GREAT experience here! So . . . I went to my opthomologist (not here) and needed a new prescription. It was going to take them two weeks to fill my order, but I needed them much sooner since I was going out of town. I took a shot at this LensCrafters store not knowing how good they were going to be or how soon the turn around was. I have astigmatism and needed progressives so it needed skill to get it right. They said they could have it by the next day! And they did. The lens were perfect! I forgot to give this review at the time and have since forgotten the name of the lovely young lady who helped me. They only get a star because the doctor who did my eye exam was great. However it goes down hill from there. Lenscrafters has a program called "the gift of sight" that allows people who are low income to get a pair of glasses for no cost. You have to be referred and it takes a few months to get an appointment, but if you need glasses and can not afford them, then this sounds like a great way to go. My appointment was made back in March for October. I went in had the exam and walked out with a great looking pair of glasses. Here is when it went down hill. Right away there was a very bad glare, I was told this was because my eyes had been dilated and this would pass. I was also told that my eyes would need some time to adjust to wearing glasses. However the glare wasn't from having my eyes dilated, but from tons of things glaring on the glasses. It's been three days now and the glare has only gotten worse. I can see people walking up behind me and when sitting at the computer the glare gets even worse. Combine the glare you get when driving and it is almost impossible to see. Today I called to let them know what the problem was and I was told that I could not get anti glare or anything else with the gift of sight program. I said ok and asked if i could pay extra for the glare. I was told yes. So my friend offered to pay for the glare and anti scratch, but when we arrived at the store we were told this was not possible. "The program only provides basic glasses with no perks" is what we were told. I asked for a manager and he too said they could not allow us to PAY for anti glare on the lens. "You can pay for an exam and buy a different pair of glasses, but we can not allow you to add anti glare to these, evenif you can not see from them." I asked "So what would be the point in wearing these if seeing is worse with them on?" The manager replied "It is not my fault that you can not afford glasses like everyone else. We never said the glasses were perfect, we just said you would be able to see better." she said "I can see better. The glare makes that impossible" I said She walk away saying "What do you expect, you did not pay one cent for the glasses." So I guess when things are "FREE" it means they do not have to stand by them. I start my new job on Wednesday, so in a few weeks I will be able to have an eye exam at a real eye doctor and get another pair of glasses. Until then I am back to squinting Can you say KICK ROCKS!!!!! read more

This place SUCKS!! Honestly, I rarely give a bad review but they deserve it 100%. Let's do a recap of my experience: After not finding parking in the garage, I parked on the street and walked in the building. No one greeted me or asked if I needed anything as I walked around so I took that time to look at some very overpriced glasses. After about 25 minutes I went and stood at the counter waiting another 8 minutes while the two ladies finished their discussion about their private lives before looking at me as if I was bothering them. Although they obviously didn't want to help me one of them finally asked if I needed something. I explained that I was low on funds and just wanted some cheap lenses put into my old frames. I had my prescription with me so I was hoping it would be fairly easy. The lady looked at me blankly and gave me a pamphlet with prices about lenses that i knew nothing about. How was I supposed to know what to order? I asked her for some help and after another 10 minutes she pointed at the one that said $435 (lenses only!!!) and said with my prescription that's what I would need. SERIOUSLY?!?!?! I asked her if there was anything else we could figure out because I really only wanted to spend about $100. She snickered at me and told me that even with coke bottle lenses it would cost more than that. Rude? YES! In complete LA fashion Shauna Sand walked by in a slutty dress and stripper heels, and my "sales lady" was off to help her rather than me... I knew I was in the wrong place! At that point I took out my iPhone and called For Eyes which is across the street and they were very sweet, I went there and within 20 minutes got a brand new pair of glasses (frames and lenses) for $89!
