I went to the Nashua Spitbrook store for an eyeglass frame repair. I had purchased frames/glasses several years ago at same store. A tiny screw holding one of the arms had loosened and fallen out. The screw was not to be found. I was greeted immediately by an employee. They took my glasses and was able to repair ! All at no cost ! If I could give this place zero stars, I would after today's AWFUL experience. Do NOT go here. Unless of course you want them to destroy your glasses over a simple fix. Stopped in around 5pm today to pick up my daughter's new glasses and to see if they could replace a screw(which I had with me) in my glasses that had popped out. The lady that took my glasses proceeded to "jam"(her words) a screw that was the incorrect size into my hinge of my glasses. The screw was literally crooked and hanging out both sides of the hinge which she also bent "jamming" the too big screw into them. She told me, it was the best she could do and it "should" be fine because they didn't have the right size. I'm sorry, I'm suppose to be ok/thankful for you doing a terrible job? When I asked her why she didn't use the screw I brought with me she said she couldn't use that. Huh? I literally gave it to you??? When I saw how bad it was I proceeded to say I couldn't leave them like this because they wouldn't even hinge close properly she then proceeded to shrug and gave me attitude about how that's all they could do like I was the problem. When I asked where I could go to get them fixed correctly she huffed at me as if I was being ridiculous and was suppose to leave them in the awful condition she just created and told me, "ummm where you bought them?" Where she then proceeded to walk away leaving me mid convo. My daughter and I were horrified. I ended up leaving upset and crying because I have never been treated that poorly by someone before. It was a simple fix that was turned into a horrible experience/treatment. First off, if you didn't have the proper tools/screw to fix it that's fine. Send me on my way then but she absolutely shouldn't have proceeded to do a hack job by "jamming" a screw into my glasses that clearly didn't fit without clearing it with me first. Second, if you're having a bad day or don't like your job, don't take it out on customers via your awful attitude. The worst customer service I have experienced in a long time. Last week my children had eye exams at the lens crafters in the mall and got contacts. That was a satisfactory experience. Since we still needed to have their lenses in their frames updated to go along with the new prescription, we came to this location today. When we walked in the associate was helping someone so we were just standing by the men's frames waiting to be helped. The cashier came over to tell me I had to put any glasses I tried on in a tray. I declined the tray because I do not wear glasses and had come in to simply drop off frames for new lenses for my children. She insisted I needed a bin "in case"...in case I suddenly lose my eyesight and decide I need glasses? I DO NOT WEAR GLASSES. We were not buying new frames, just replacing lenses. She had a sassy attitude as though I was looking to spread corona everywhere but I had no intention of touching any frames I was not shopping for frames. Then, we finally are told to sit and the associate starts helping us. I ask if the lenses would be able to be done within a day or so because my daughter is leaving to go back to school, she says yes. Then she looks at our prescription and says no, she needs to order the lenses but then it would be pretty fast once the lenses come in. Okay, fine. Then sassy pants cashier comes over- for no apparent reason and tells the associate she better have the technician "look at the frames" before she puts in an order. She leaves and comes back and says, Oh, the frames have a missing piece so the lab will definitely reject these. Okay, first- We purchased the Dolce & Gabbana frames a year ago online and they are essentially new. My daughter wears contacts everyday and the frames are not worn often, there is no missing piece. Second, the nosy cashier who suggested the frames be checked could have done that a half hour earlier instead of policing me about frames I was not going to try on in the first place- she could have asked what I was there to do and maybe brought those in to be "checked" at that point. Third, I thought we were ordering lenses and then putting them in the frames, not sending them out? How would a lab reject them? We have been going to lens crafters for years for both of my children and I am stunned to have such nasty "service" when I am there to spend money. We left and went to Nashua Eye associates and they were happy to take the frames and put lenses in them. So, in closing I would suggest some training for their employees (like how to be decent humans) and I highly suggest people go elsewhere. read more

Very long and annoying story short: It is August 13. I needed a new pair of glasses by August 24 in prep for eye surgery. My normal ophthalmologist/optician office said new glasses would arrive in 4 - 6 weeks. Maybe. I panic and call around to various local optical shops who all say 4 - 6 weeks. Maybe. I called LensCrafters* and spoke to Maria. She could not have been nicer. She said that depending on the perscription, they may have the lenses I need in stock. The next day I run over to my ophthalmologist's office after work to get my perscription and head to LensCrafters. I arrive around 3:00 PM. I talk with the greeter, who hands me a tray and points me to the section of cheap frames. I find something I like pretty quickly then hang around for someone to help me. The place was really busy so a wait was not a big deal. I pulled up email and sent a few replies. I am finally sat at a desk and a tech comes over. By coincidence, is Maria. She remembered my call from the day before and all the drama. We tried the frames picked and they worked really well. What I need done is to take the perscription for the close vision portion of my progressive lenses and put that in a single perscription lens. Maria is new and thought it would be no problem, but she called Sue over to verify they could do that in time for me. They went in the back for a while and came back out to say they had the lenses but they were on the heavy side. Is that OK? Absolutely! They said I'd be able to pick them up the next day. Perfect. It was then I realized I had left my FSA card at home. Sue said that is not a problem. "Go home and call us with the payment details and we can run the card." Wow, I expected that I would have to go get the card and come back to make the payment. Very accommodating. By the time I get home it is a little after 4:00. I call immediately and pay for my spiffy new glasses. Within the hour I received a text message saying that my glasses were ready. Wait, what? Every optician in the area quotes me a month or more, LensCrafters tells me 24 hours and in less time than it takes to watch * insert TV show of choice *, they delivered? I am so happy. Not only was the service amazing, even after putting the lenses in the frames, they fit perfectly, None of that silly figiting that normally needs to be done to get the right fit. This was a great experience. I'd definitely recommend this location. My only negative comment is that even with GPS on, I drove past the store twice. There is a sign mixed in with others in the shopping plaza but it was hard to see because the weight of the typeface is so thin. On a bright day it gets washed out. * Not the one in the mall. I didn't want to risk not socially distancing and figured this was the safer option. They seemed to do a great job keeping things clean. read more

Accidentally sat on my glasses while visiting from out of town. Broke the frame and did not have a spare pair. Went in when store opened and was helped immediately by very polite folks. They did everything possible to get my frames to where I could wear them until can get a replacement - no charge. Highly recommend. read more

Had an eye exam and ordered a lens for an existing frame. I got an email from them saying they lost my frame and I needed to buy a new one. Then they found my old frame and told me they would finish it in a week. After three weeks, I called, and they put me on hold for 2 hours and then hung up. When I purchased the glass lenses, I was told that it would be done by their in-store lab, which is why there would be a fast turnaround. He was lying to make the sale. The store manager told me three weeks later that they sent glass lenses to a lab in Cincinnati, Ohio, and they do not cut them in the store. Don't shop at this store. It is terrible. Went in to get a pair of non-prescription sunglass lenses for a set of ray ban sunglass frames that I had. Was going to be a gift for my son, who absolutely loved the frames and wanted to keep them as I upgraded to a new set. The technician who helped me was very nice and she stated they needed to send the frames off to get fitted with the lenses and she did share that there was a potential that the old frames could get lost. The chances were very low, but there was a potential that it could happen and I had to sign off saying that it was OK if that happened. If I wanted the lenses then I had to sign off so I did thinking a glasses store sounds be able to keep track of frames easily enough. Sure enough I get a call back a couple weeks later, saying that the lenses came in, but the frames were somehow lost. I would not recommend using this store. read more

Worse eyes glass place we have ever been too. I bought a pair of sun glasses , after a few months the coating came off on the inside. I always keep them in the case when I am not wearing them. They asked me if I bought the warranty . I said no. They weren't going to repair them , so I had to have a firm discussion and they finally agreed to correct them. I NEVER had the coating come off glasses in the last 20 years! My husband got bifocals, they measured them wrong twice! They told him he could come back for a free pair. He went back several months later and told him he had 30 days to get the free pair but they never told him that. They said they would speak to the regional manager who denied the free pair. All they care about is their bottom line. They sell cheap glasses and have horrible service . Will never go there again!!! read more

I am highly disappointed with the customer service I received at the Lens Crafters at the Pheasant Lane Mall in Nashua today. I was the only customer in the store at 1:30 this afternoon, with FOUR EMPLOYEES in the store. I was in my work clothes, and upon walking in I immediately felt judged by my appearance. One male employee immediately went behind the counter, and began whispering to another employe, while looking at me. Two other employees sat at a table on their cellphones. When I asked for help, the female employee did not come out from behind the counter, and was very rude and unhelpful. I felt highly disrespected, and judged due to being in work clothes. I left an EMPTY store, with FOUR employees, without making a purchase, due to their lack of customer service, disrespect, and their JUDGEMENT ON MY APPEARANCE. read more

Just went in with my husband 6/13/2021 just before 3pm to make an appointment for later this week. The blond with curly hair was very cocky and extremely rude to us. Maybe because we are an interracial Caucasian/Asian family but there was no reason for her hostility at all. She was rude to my husband because she didn't want to spell out our last name, he was in the middle of it when he was interrupted rudely to ask for his first mind you our last name is only 8 letters long but she couldn't handle it.... Then when it was my turn to tell her my date of birth and first name I was just holding my mask away from my mouth a bit so I didn't have fabric in my mouth when I spoke and she yelled at me to "keep it over your nose!" She didn't even look at me and assumed I was taking it off my nose yet I kept it there the whole time. I was only giving my mouth a touch of relief to speak clearly for her! Then told me we couldn't bring our kid in for our appointments and we don't have anyone else to watch him so guess we wouldn't have time to pick out glasses due this. I was super excited to find this Lenscrafters not in the mall! There is plenty of parking close by, and the store is big, clean, and I was immediately greeted. I was left to wander the store on my own and pick out some selections; and then I had Jaimie and Austin help me pick out frames-- like they sat patiently and were super willing to help as I tried frame after frame giving me very honest opinions. They then figured out what was the best option for me-- If I went back to Mass assuming they took my insurance (I live in Mass, and I usually go to the Burlington Lenscrafters which I have had great experiences with; however, I just happened to be up in NH; and it was really nice to park and walk in the store directly), my triple A discount, or their current sale/promotion which ended up giving me the best deal. Because I ordered these frameless lenses that were specificly from Oakley, I had to wait two weeks for them to be sent out special. I got a text exactly 2 weeks from when I went in (I was given a choice of text or call when glasses were ready), and I had Magdala and Suzanne both help me pick up my frames and adjust them. The best part is my one year protection plan which is why I go through Lenscrafters to begin with-- my lenses/frames are such a big investment that I want protected! I called to get my records because i moved. They told me they would send me over a release form through email, that I could do an electronic's signature to release my records and then they would be able to fax to my new I place. Ok great! I checked my email my Spam and my junk mail all day and had never received anything. The next day I called them back, and explained what happened. The girl on the phone said she remembered it because she had helped the girl (Lexi)the day before. She said let's go over your email address and I will get that sent right over to you. We did that. My entire family uses this Lenscrafters for our eyewear. My husband also sees Dr. Doan for his eye exams. We are so impressed with the staff at this location. A special shout-out goes to Dakota and Suzanne who always remember our names and even remember what frames I ordered the last time I was there to buy glasses! The customer service is exceptional! Don't shop here - the customer service is awful and you may get overcharged. I purchased two pairs of glasses here and later when comparing my receipt to my insurance benefits found that the insurance were applied incorrectly. When I returned to the store I was told it was a computer error and the insurance company was at fault. A manager came and wasn't sure how to process the refund, so she said she would call me. The next day she did call and told me to come in and I could do a return on the glasses and then re-purchase them with the correct benefit applied. I went back to the store as instructed and a third person told me that it would "take a very long time" for the insurance company to process the refund, but I could come back in about a month. (Yeah - sure, you overcharged me almost $100 but just go ahead and hang on to it. I'll be back in a month for my refund...) At that time I returned both pairs of glasses, and went to another store (with good yelp reviews) and bought two new pairs of glasses, with the insurance benefit applied correctly. Interesting that this was the same benefit I was told a day before would take a month to process a return. I did file a compliant with Lenscrafters and a store manager called and left a voicemail saying the general manager would be calling, but they never did. At no time were any of the sales people I spoke with the least bit concerned that I was overcharged. Furthermore, the information they told me was very different from what my insurance company told me when I spoke with them. I wonder how many other people didn't bother to check their receipts and were overcharged due to this "computer error." read more

I have Only been a customer here for a few years. First visit I have no issues. Even with ordering contacts over the phone. This time was very different. The guy on the phone took my order for contacts. I had to repeat my card info 3 times to him. After getting off the phone I had an unsettling feeling. I check my account and was charged twice. I called back and was told it would take several days for a return. I did not give them card# for return so, did they write my card # down on paper? So this guy screwed up and put my card through to many times. This location should do more training on how do deal with people they just want your money. I had a vision exam here yesterday, and picked up my husband's glasses, or actually new lenses in old frames. My appt. was with Dr. Lessard who is a most peculiar fellow. "Okay, follow the light, the light, the light, the light." "Now focus on that corner, the corner, in the corner..." Monotone. You get it. It was like he was speaking to a child, or maybe doing that line from the Green Mile, 'walkin' the mile, walkin' the mile...' He did a nice job of explaining the retinal images the technician had done; it was a canned explanation that I'm sure he has given dozens of times, so when I made a comment that something in my right eye looked different than it did in my left, he just said "Hmmm. But that's not a problem." So, I have no retina problems! Apparently I need stronger correction for reading and my distance vision isn't what it used to be either so he suggested progressive lens glasses, and I said that I hate wearing glasses, his response? "Hold on while I go fetch my violin." Well, go to hell you unsympathetic moron. This was the perfect opportunity for him to sell some contact lenses. Can you tell I was not too taken with Dr. Lessard? Next up, pick up hubby's glasses. No problem there, they were ready, in a little tray wrapped up in tissue paper. (Not even a complimentary little pouch.) They were placed in a fancy little bag like I'd been shopping at Tiffany's; when I got them home and he unwrapped the glasses he looked at them and said what the hell. The lenses were all marked up with whatever marks are needed to be sure the bifocal part is in the right place, but the nose pads had been removed at some point. So he had to go back and have things replaced. Total pain I tell ya. Anyway, I may or may not go back there to have my new prescription done in their frames. We'll see. read more

My son lost his glasses (again) and his back up pair was broken so I made an appointment with Lenscrafters for an eye exam. They were able to schedule it next day and claimed there should be no problem with getting his glasses that same afternoon. When did they tell me that they were having some kind of difficulty with their lens grinding machine? Not until after my son had his exam, picked out glasses, had them fitted, and I had paid for it all. The said the glasses shouldn't take more than a day... "two or three at the most" and they would call me as soon as ready. Of course they never did call, I had to call them, and the glasses took a week. Since then I called to have them fax over the prescription - that was a week ago. Still no fax. I wouldn't mind paying their prices if they ever actually came through on their promises, but they don't. read more

I went here looking to replace my glasses, which I had purchased at a different Lenscrafters two years ago. The anti-reflective coating on the lenses had aged to the point that it was cracking extensively. After waiting for twenty minutes to talk to someone (this place is busy and they don't have a line management system, so it's up to whoever is in charge on the floor to make sure customers aren't languishing in the back corners unattended), I finally spoke to someone about the frames I was interested in. When I told them I wanted them to use my previous prescription (I find every time I get a new eye exam they give me a crazy strong prescription and it makes me blinder as my eyes adjust to it), they told me that it was against the law. After I left, I walked into a different optician and they said that there was a NH state law against using old prescriptions, but all they had to do was blank out the old prescription and take the measurements from my glasses, as I had asked them to do. So... if you go there, expect to pay for an eye exam, since they're certainly not going to go out of their way to not get more money out of your pocket. read more

Lens Crafters took my order to have my lenses on four pairs of glasses updated to a new prescription after my latest eye exam. I had glass lenses and wanted to continue with glass lenses. They sent my glasses away to their lab and told me it would take 5-7 days and they would let me know when they came back from the lab. They made no attempt to contact me and after four weeks I called them to find out the status. At first, they could not find the record. When they did find the record, they realized that the lab had contacted them and told them that they would not be able to fulfil the prescription since they no longer did "glass lenses" (only plastic). It then took them three weeks to return my glasses to the store and credit me for my 1200 purchase. They were not the least bit sorry. No apology for taking my order and delaying getting a new prescription for two months. This is a horrible place to do business. They lie. They make you feel that they are doing you a favour by taking your order. Their prices are ridiculous as well. read more

The glasses were sent back to another lab. The lab didn't do the correct job. On and on. I call them I'm put on hold every time I walk in the store 4 employees just chit chatting. I'm being generous as the employee may have been new. I went to only buy sunglasses ( nonprescription). The only pair that I liked and only LensCrafters carries them. I asked many, many questions to make sure I cover all my bases since I paid close to $350. He did not elaborate on anything, did not answer any questions without someone else's help. Even the help did not look at me directly but through this guy who could not seem to answer anything. The service felt so rushed and impersonal, I had asked the associate multiple questions and none of them were answered. The husband and I have been going here, at this location, for years and purchased $500+ glasses at Lens Crafters a few times and never had any issues with getting our PD info so we can order cheap glasses online as well for backup. I took my 17 year old daughter here today (2/8/15) to get her exam and the lady at the front desk checking us in and Doctor were great. This review is about the Sale's person. I checked my insurance info on my phone there and noticed we get 35% off. Contemplating if we should get our glasses there to start I ask the lady if someone can do the PD reading for my daughter. The Sales person (guy) at the counter piped in that they dont provide that information. I ask why a few times with no reasonable answer. The only answer I got was, we dont provide that. Really???!!! A large a** eye company doesnt provide PD reading for its patients?? Why, because we might look at other location for glasses since you charge and arm and leg for them?! The nice lady at the counter was trying to say that its just the reading and he still piped in that they dont provide it. I could not believe it. I have never, ever had an issue. She ask if we were going to look at glasses and with that sales person attitude...I didnt even bother. We will never step foot in this location again. Horrible. read more
