I truthfully contemplated for a very long time if I wanted to write a review for this place, and what it would entail. Honestly, if you value your time or respect your person at all, go somewhere else. They seem nice and friendly at face value, but the business side of it is so poorly ran that the few friendly faces do not make up for the rest of the establishment. 1. My appointment was at 5:15 and I wasn't seen by the doctor until 6:45. The doctor herself was nice, hence why I went back and forth on writing this review, but really that lack of respect for my time was out of control. 2. When I finally sat down to by the glasses I wanted, nothing was explained about the lens, the options, the additions or anything. If I happened to not know that I wanted thin frames, they never would have asked. It's like their lapse in functioning on time for me originally bled into this meeting and they wanted to "make up" for my time by rushing me out without any help to really figure out what it is I need in glasses. 3. Cherry on top - they said I would get a text when my glasses were ready.. never got it! I tried being polite and waiting a few days, especially during the holiday season, giving them the benefit of the doubt. Que one month later, I go in and ask about my glasses... turns out they'd been there ready for almost THREE WEEKS. When I said I never got a text I was dismissed SO FAST as if I was the liar, not that their system maybe doesn't work right? And what, no phone call to confirm I got the text? Had an appointment today for an eye exam. Dr Lam was the best part of my visit. He was very thorough in explaining my eye condition and how I will be needing progressive glasses from here on out. Dr. Lam deserves 5 stars for his service. The worst part of my visit and why I put 3 stars is how expensive glasses are here. Even with my vision insurance (which is decent insurance) the cost was ridiculously high. When I asked the person who was helping me why the Ray Bans I selected would be costing me $325 even though the frames were $170 and my insurance was covering mostly the frames , he could not explain the breakdown to me. I understand progressive glasses can be expensive but my copay for that would be $65 plus the additional co-pays like scratch resistant, polybycarbonate, etc). That didn't make sense that it would come out to $325! I even took a picture of the breakdown on his computer and Chat GPT it along with my insurance benefits just to make sure I wasn't overreacting and it said I was being charged for unnecessary upgrades. The most I should've been charged was $170 based off of my co-pays. I took my prescription and decided to go elsewhere. Paying that much money with insurance and with no understandable explanation doesn't sit right with me. read more

When I got to the store, Jessica helped me through the process and offered excellent customer service. Two days later, I realized that I needed to update my eyeglasses. Once again, when I called, Jesus made sure that my prescription was in stock before I had to make the 15-mile drive to the store. Scheduled my appointment for yesterday since I was due for an eye exam, and my glasses had broke three weeks ago. I got to my appointment and the optometrist was running 40 minutes behind. Once I was taken back, the exam went well. I picked out my glasses and placed my order. The tech told me they no longer make glasses onsite so it would be 2 weeks for them to return. She said they have removed most labs from all stores. The only way I could get them in an hour is if I got non progressive basic lenses. I was frustrated because that is the whole reason I go to Lenscrafters is to get my glasses the same day. She said she is new there but has had many patients voice their frustration. read more

Called for a small repair estimate and was told to come in for an evaluation of the damaged glasses, upon arriving Minha was very helpful and took my glasses to auto the repair guy and he was able to fix them in 5 min with no charge! Been here twice, and both times the tall older white man with glasses "helped" me. He is the sassiest rudest person ive encountered in a while. The first time i only bought frames and it was almost like he did not want to sell to me or he thought i was wasting his time. The second time he says he cant help because they are fully booked and there was not 1 person in there other then me. Him and his 3 other co workers were literally just standing there doing nothing. I made an appointment yesterday with this store specifically because they stated they had a full lab. Before the appointment was set up, they informed me that they were going to send me a form to complete before the appointment. I looked around my email & texts for the form but didn't receive until maybe 10 minutes before the appointment. I got to my appointment, and I'm completing the form they sent super late to me, and as I'm walking over to the store, they called me, stating that I missed my appointment due to going over the grace period. That much is my fault, but literally can't take me for going a minute over the grace period. I drove over 10 miles just to come to this specific store. Pretty not great experience. read more

Overall, very nice customer service and was able to get a pair of glasses next day (I went in with a prescription and also went in after 6 PM). Removing a star for what I consider to be a fairly small collection. Also LensCrafters definitely bundles a bunch of 'options' together that makes it difficult to pick apart so you pay a bit more. But overall, I would consider going again for another pair of glasses. read more

I had a great initial experience, but I had some defect in my lenses. They took my info and told me that it might take 2 weeks to get my prescription. I'm like "ok" Like 3 days later they had my prescription, but I had no time to get it exchanged due to work.. A week and a half later I show up to the mall and nobody is here... The associate Jezebel was really nice and everyone else I encountered from the Dr to the other associates were great. Exam is $113 out of pocket in case anyone was wondering. I came in yesterday for a 4:30pm eye appointment. New post covid protocol doors stay locked an employee will open them for you and instruct you where to sit. Dr Head was super nice and informative. I was greeted by a young man who only offered me a mask. I told him I had my own and put it on. I was never welcomed to the store. I was never offered any assistance. I tried on several pairs of glasses on my own. The young man and woman working continued to ignore me as they chatted at the counter. I was even holding and occasionally using my broken glasses. Yes I need a pair. Thinking about two pairs plus sun glasses to match the prescription I will get. Heading over to Costco now where I know I will be helped. Worst experience ever. Super low quality employee. I've been your customer since last year but they messed up my frame so badly this time. On the day June 11th, I brought my Chrome Hearts frame in the store ( LensCrafters, 1 Mills Cir Suite 516, Ontario, CA 91764) to do my lens. After they spent like 15 minutes to check my frame, they said they can't not do the lens because of my complicated frame. However they mess up the frame super bad, uneven both sides, the screw is not the same, the frame got bent on one side and heavy scratches on top and bottom. OMG, this is my $1800 frame, I trust LensCrafters that's why I brought my glasses here. Just give me back the frame if you can't do it, it's simple and easy. You can't do the lens for my frame why you guys have to damage my frame?!! I have the pictures before I bring the frame in also. This is so ridiculous, they messed my frame even not putting the lens on !!!!! If the owner ever read it please check your camera on that location at 1:30pm on the June 11. Im not lying. I understand that you dont take liability for the outside glasses but I just brought this glasses in just for checking if you guys can do the lens or not. And this is what I got for a customer service ? After arguing, they DID NOT apologize it, they want to call a security on me ?!!! I went for a check up on 8-13-2021 and I hadn't gone in 2 1/2 yrs and as soon as I arrive (15mins) before the office opens I get escorted out. That because the office wasn't technically opened I had to wait outside. Why not lock the door before kicking out the patients. Then another patient goes inside and he does not get kicked out the way I did. He was assisted and told to wait inside to be called. I found this very rude, discriminating, and unprofessional. And I still stay for my appointment that took 3 hours. I don't know why it took forever to do my exam and then give me a quote for glasses and contacts. The doctor was absolutely nice and helpful. But customer service training should be incorporated because the staff can be rude. I go back on 8-17-2021 because I decided to go with Lasik and NVision is their recommended company. So I go with them for a consult and it goes well. Then I come back to Lens Crafters at Ontario Mills. The visit with the doctor was phenomenal. The doctor is informative funny and professional. However the front staff can be incompetent sometimes. I came in to have my eyes dilated and the staff gave me wrong information. One woman on the phone said I could drive after the visit (this was the day before my appt). At my visit they didn't say a thing. Then I call after my visit and ask how long my vision would be blurry and the sales associate said 4-6 hours. They could have told me that before. And then She says, you shouldn't drive and you'll be sensitive to the sun. None of this was told to me when I was in the office. When I left my eyes were very sensitive to the sun, so I figured that out on my own. So far not impressed with their poor customer service, but the doctors are great so I go back for them. read more

There is one sales person that was rude . Got glasses there paid for the glasses to go dark when you are in the sun. The lenses did not have that on them so when we went to talk to the sales person she was very rude and had lots of attitude. Then we had to go pick them up and she wasn't very pleasant. I like lens crafters it's not that bad but that one person made me not want to go back to the Ontario mills one. I'm paying for glasses not for attitude when they got the order wrong . Amazing !!! I got my exam done on the 30th of May and they told me they might take up to one week to get my glasses done because they had to be sent out. I was not happy about it but I agreed. 26 days later and still no glasses. No communication at all, I've had to call every week to check up on my glasses. I asked for a temporary lenses on my old frames until they get my glasses and they said they can give me a discount lol. This is ridiculous, paid over $700.00 for this? Been coming to Lens Crafters for over 20 years but I will Definitely not be coming back. They should have better service. read more

Although Staff is great, DO NOT depend on getting your glasses quickly if they are shipped out for processing. The prices at Lens Crafters satisfy the one hour processing time and is expected but if they ship, forget about it!! Daughter went to Americas Best, paid 1/2 the price, went to see dr days after my appointment and ordering of glasses and her glasses shipped and delivered in a week!! After a $600 charge, only for one pair of glasses, Sorry I purchased here!! Drs are really good, that was the ONLY Bonus! read more

Minerva the assistant manager has such a nasty attitude. When I asked her why my total was so high when I know my insurance vsp covers most of it. She said ohh were out of network. Then I said ohh I see. Am I going to get a copy of my rx ? She said "IF THE PAYMENT GOES THROUGH " I said why wouldn't it go through? I got the money ?!?!. She ignored me and proceeded to talk to her colleagues. The doctor was great but Minerva attitude and comments were uncalled for. Will NOT be returning because of her. I had no problem with paying but simply wanted to understand why the fee was high. Horrible to assume my financial situation. I paid with my debit card by the way. THEY NEVER CALL YOU BACK!! I have been told over 4 times that they would call me back.. Everytime I call its a different story from what the last person I talked to said. All a girl is trying to do is get a trial pair of contacts after I just ordered 2 boxes. When I was told that it would not be a problem I could just swing by and pick them up. Now I am being told I have to go see the Dr for a trial pair. Overall never thought that it would be this hard and I am highly disappointment in my contact experience. I've been going to this location for over ten years now and the customer service at this LensCrafters is always excellent. I came in for my yearly appointment in May and purchased a year supply of contacts that unfortunately, I ended up being unhappy with. So I called LensCrafters a couple weeks ago to explain my situation. They scheduled me an appointment to come in right away. When I came in, I was seen almost immediately. Dr. Nguyen recommended another brand of contacts (Biofinity, if anyone is interested) and scheduled me to come in a week later to give me some time to see how I felt about them. Today I came back for my follow up appointment. I ended up liking the contacts so I sat down with Nic and she processed my refund. I must say that while everyone at this LensCrafters is pleasant, Nic goes above and beyond. She is the reason I'm writing this review. She is very customer service oriented, super friendly and professional. We were able to process my refund and purchase my new contacts. Nic also informed me that there was a rebate as well. It is never great here but we always come to this location so we can have lunch while we wait for our glasses... I also know that we are in a pandemic and things have to he run different than usual, but Icalled to make an appointment and because we only need a warranty exchange ge they said we could just come, they did also say there might be a wait, so we get here there is a small line, we put our name in and begin to wait. Another man comes up about 15 minutes later he puts his name in and waits as well, but they help him before us. Doing the same exact thing without an appointment. I want to turn into a crazy person, I didn't but I can not understand why goingin the order of the names you are taking is so hard. Standing out here amongst all these people some of whom aren't wearing masks is frustrating enough (peoein the mall, not anyone in lens crafyers) then they skip us.. really. Some employees need to be retrained... came in for contacts last week after having an eye exam less than 90 days ago and I was unable to get them because I needed "another" exam for contacts. Show up to my appointment (on time) to find out I could have got the contacts last week with the eye exam I got a few weeks ago! It still took them 50 mintues to see me even with an appointment... They need to realize some ppl don't have time to be sitting around waiting & getting different information from employees definitely slows things down! Appointment are made for a reason... can't stress that enough! It seems like you have better luck with the walk in Dr because 3 ppl where seen before me when I got here 15-20 min before them. Also make sure that the person adjusting your glasses knows what he is doing. He ended up leaving my glasses how they were because he did "know how" to adjust them.
