They did an excellent job on my eye exam, employing State-of-the-Art diagnostic equipment. I got a great deal on my lens and frames too. They even fixed my new frame, after accidentally sitting on them, like a Bozo I am. Thanks to Smartphones, internet surfing and computer games - the State DMV requirements has now created a literal boon to the corrective lens industry. Don't bash them, simply because they take 1/2 day to get fitted and such.... each store is grossly understaffed, to handle the influx of new DMV-mandated eye exams. read more

My experience with a guy named Davis was horrible. He is obviously not happy with his job. I watched a very upbeat employee there named Eric. I wish I would of had him. I'm very disturbed that he would be so rude towards customers. Even when I visited this location years ago he was the same way. Just uninterested and not helpful towards customers!! Great experience! I walked in with my 13 yr old to inquire about exam prices. Amazingly they had an immediate opening - so we accepted. BTW- they are very reasonably priced. The staff and practitioner were extremely professional - yet very sweet to my son! We had the exam - picked out frames and they were complete within 2.5 hours!!!!!!! He got sunglasses and a regular glasses after few years he notice that the couldn't see to far with the regular glasses but with the sunglasses he was able to see far. Second band customer service after getting another pair there because his insurance didn't cover other place. They NEVER call o email to him about his new pair. It's absolute dog s*** here. They are such a scam. On the first day everyone the pleasant. When I decided I did not like the contact trial they gave me, it all hit the fan. I had to get my prescription rewritten by the doctor and call on a Friday. The girl on the phone "left a sticky note" and said that they would call me by the end of the day. I waited until Sunday and still no call. I called them and they said they did not know what I was talking about and to come in Tuesday. I asked if I needed an appointment and they said no just come in at 11. I showed up then and they said "Oh I'll write it down on a sticky note" so here we go again. It was the end of Tuesday without a call so I called them. They put me on hold while they scrambled to rewrite my prescription. They offered to email it to me and I said that'd be great and she hung up on me. She sent me a photo through email and it looked like it was from across the desk at an angle. Horrible experience in this store. First of all my son broke his glasses so when I arrived 1/27/23 I was told he would receive his glass the next day which is 1/28/23. No call by 1330 on 1/28/23. I called to find out the status and Yolanda answered the phone and informs me" the glasses will not be ready for 2 weeks" she says "you can come for a refund see you when I see you". Cynthia lied to me about when the glasses would be ready and to top it off charged me incorrectly since she used someone else's insurance not mine. I went in for a refund because I cannot stand lying and horrible customer service and Cynthia and Yolanda accomplished both. Yolanda's response is very unprofessional. When I checked my receipt I noticed she used and charged someone else's insurance. I told them I don't want explanations. They have wasted my time and I cannot trust this dishonest company anymore. Went in Jan to get glasses and contacts... contacts trials never came. Come to find out after 6weeks they no longer make them... they ordered another pair... never got a call after calling several times and no ... sick of calling... Bought 2 pairs of Oakley glasses ... went back 4 times to have the adjustments because they fall off... I asked about going to the metal frame and was told oh no we will fix them... I now really need to go somewhere and buy new ones because these fall off all the time... I hate not being able to see.... So unhappy still no contacts and crazy glasses that to this day still fall off. read more

Walked in to get my Moms glasses fixed and we were met at the dest by a very nice young lady. She took the glasses said she would be right back, and was! She had fixed the glasses, my mom put them on and noticed that they seemed crooked on her face. The girl agreed and had us sit at a little station, where she began to manipulate the glasses with some magic steam machine, until they were straight and on my moms face agian! Great customer service, when we asked how much we owed, she lightly said "nothing". usually a good experience. however, post covid, everything seems to be a wreck. rushed thru my order, creating an error, so my glasses (ready in only 4 days - amazing) were incorrect. upon returning them to be fixed, i hear that "remakes" are "usually" faster. but, alas, not the case. a failure of customer service when something is done incorrectly, it shouldn't take even longer to be done right. that's like sending back a steak, and waiting a half hour for it to be redone. i'll give them another chance, but beware. read more

Shout out to Damien. He adjusted not one, not two, but SIX pairs of my glasses! I went in at a slow time but he really took his time with me. I have a super lite prescription so I don't buy a lot of regular glasses but I LOVE my sunglasses. He was super careful and they all feel great. Nothing broke (I always expect the worst). I made an appointment by phone for an exam frames and fitting for 11:30 AM and was greeted in a friendly, professional manner. I told the associate that i needed the glasses today A.S.A.P as I had to be at the DMV before they closed . To add to my time restraint i was on a bike and a bus from Palm Springs. Those of you that have tried to get from desert hot springs to palm springs on a bus Know what a feat this is . Once they Understood It went very quickly . I was told i should have lunch and maybe enjoy the shops for a while and they would call me on my cell. I then went out to have a very enjoyable lunch and window shop . I went in for an eye exam for contact lenses at the end of May 2011 - it was a Saturday - Doc was nice, did a thorough enough exam, and then sent me out to talk to the staff at the front to order diagnostic lenses. They said my contacts will arrive by Friday. Friday, came and went without a call from them, so I called on Saturday, they said your contacts have not arrived yet, check back next week. So I waited another week - still no call from them. So I called them again the next Satuday, this time they tell me, they did not receive the order and will have to re-order them again. Should take another 7-10 days. This shouldn't really surprise me though. Because they did this same thing to my daughter last year. First they said they ordered the lenses and after a couple weeks we don't hear from them, so we check on the status of the order - yadayada.... Then when the lenses finally did arrive, they were the wrong color, and so we have to order them all over again... ugh!! And I took my husband here last year too - and they took almost a month in getting his new eyeglasses to him. He was not happy with this place. Plus he brought his old pair in to show them that the tint in his glasses has completely disappeared and they told him his previous glasses did not ever have the tint on them. Bascially calling him a liar. This year I took my daughter to Walmart Vision Center and got much better service - timely and accurate! I should have done the same for myself - just thought it was convenient since it's close to my work. But I will NEVER go back again. My whole family has had enough of their incompetency. They are a bunch of idiots!! The WORST Customer Service! They don't even deserve a zero star on this rating. read more

Even though I saw several negative reviews for this LensCrafters location, it was close to home and the specific content of the negative reviews didn't seem to apply to what I was going there for. I scheduled a routine annual eye exam for 3/6/18 and the experience I had could not have gone more smoothly. I was greeted promptly and asked to complete some basic paperwork. After that, Daniel showed me to the back and performed several visual tests on me. He was professional & efficient and clearly knows his job. After waiting only a few minutes, Dr David Gayle introduced himself and brought me into the exam room for the actual vision assessment. He was pleasant & professional and I look forward to seeing him again in 1 year. All in all, a great experience! read more

I was calling at 5:30pm before they close (6pm) and no answer at all. Called at least 7 times. I walked up to the door at 5:50pm to pick up my glasses since they weren't answering any calls, and they didn't let me in. At least answer your phone and tell your clients that you stop taking clients at whatever time before you close because obviously you closed before 6. NEVER AGAIN will I come back. I ordered and paid for Ray Ban prescription sun glasses 6 weeks ago from Lens Crafters in Desert Crossings. It has been six weeks and I still do not have my glasses. I have made numerous phone calls to the store and no one has ever returned a single call. One of my call did reach a person who said the glasses came in with a scratch and were returned. Paid $300.00 dollar's for bifocal, covered by insurance. They charge what ever they want for frames. I didn't see prices on the frame's. So I came home lines for bifocal on lenses were so low that I had hard time reading my texts. Went back four times they couldn't get it right. Finally I took my old pairs and showed them where the bifocal lines should be. It starts with the general manager of the location and above. One of the central responsibilities of retail management is to meet their company's objectives of customer satisfaction, resolutions and results on a daily basis. When a manager meets a simple question with "I don't know what to tell you," he has brought a dead end to any satisfaction, resolutions and results. With Edward's, the general manager, inability to resolve a simple problem specific to Lenscrafters Palm Desert that does not exist with Lenscrafters New York, Chicago or, as recent as July 2015, in Los Angeles, one has to wonder what his responsibilities are at the Palm Desert location. His whine and hands thrown up are far from meeting customer satisfaction and resolution. And his, "wow," when I let him know that such a response is tantamount to idiocy, does not garner trust to allow their examination of my eyes. Especially since today's problem is a repeat of the same problem experienced with him in July 2015. So, I have had enough. My friends and family's 30 years of loyalty to Lenscrafters comes to an end today. My Advice to Lenscrafters: Get your Palm Desert computer system that accesses eye insurances on network level and current with those companies and like the big cities (Los Angeles and New York) so that that location is able to adequately service their customers like other your other locations. After all, the world doesn't fall off to nothing when you leave the big cities. So long Lenscrafters! And considering today's event, good riddance. read more

I had managed to bend and crack the arm of my glasses. I stopped by the Lenscrafters in Palm Desert to see if they could reshape and repair the arm. Raul was the technician who helped me that day. He was able to fit a "sleeve" over the cracked arm of my glasses. He was very patient in sliding on the sleeve and removing any bunching before applying heat to seal and reshape. He did a great job and at no cost to me! read more
