Had to pay for new frames. Not cool.

I'm just gonna put this like it is. I have been dealing with LensCrafters for over 30 years because I moved to Indian land South Carolina. I've had to go to the one in Pineville. Over the past 30 years I've always purchased vision protection for my glasses, but for some reason since Covid, even though I mentioned, I wanted the protection they did not add it and I've had situations where I needed it. The first occurrence of the situation when I found out, I did not have insurance. I was blown away, but a very friendly customer service representative there are by the name of William offered a discount to help ease the burden that I needed to buy a whole new pair of glasses, which were hundreds of dollars. Today. I was working in my house and I hit my head on the doorway and my glasses broke. When I spoke to William last year, I asked him to make sure he put insurance on my glasses as well as my sunglasses and my reading glasses that I ordered. Guess what no insurance once again. I spoke to the store manager Kelly and she was not willing to do anything about it whatsoever. In fact, she was very rude to me, despite knowing me and knowing that I'm a returning customer, the simple manner of being rude to someone after you've already done them wrong twice in a row is beyond me, but it just shows a lack of proper training and a lack of good customer service. I don't know how she ever became a manager. Because she was not willing to do anything about the situation I have since reached out to corporate in fact when I told her I was going to do that she said well it's just gonna come back to me so nothing's gonna get done about it I am informed her that I'm going to talk to the vice president of the company since she feels like there's nothing she can do about it so going forward advise people to make sure you ask them to put insurance on your glasses because they will not ask you and I am encouraging corporate to train her properly and hopefully make her watch hours of videos to learn how to treat people and hopefully they will have a mandatory signature requirement to decline insurance so that this never happens again. Kelly if you don't like your job, my suggestions you should probably quit because you are ruining the customer experience.

I've been coming to this LensCrafters for about 6 years and throughout that time, I've experienced decent customer service, friendly staff and proper expectations for work done. The staff here does a great job considering how business they get even when fully staffed. There have been many times where there are 10 people in the store and the staff handles everyone in a professional and timely manner. I enjoy the great selection of sunglasses, frames and accessories and also they usually get my frames done in about an hour. LensCrafters offers free adjustments and fitting for your glasses even if you didn't buy them there which is a great service. As far as I know, LensCrafters takes most major insurance plans and if not then they are always doing a sale on frames.

My mother and I have been patients here for several years and have always received excellent care…read morefrom Dr. Bailey. Unfortunately, our most recent experience with the office administration has changed our decision to continue as patients. At my last visit, my prescription changed significantly, and I am now transitioning into progressive lenses for the first time. Because I order my glasses independently, confirming my pupillary distance (PD) is essential. This has never been an issue in the past. After leaving a voicemail with no response, I called again and was eventually transferred to the office, where I spoke with Erin. I was informed that the practice no longer provides PD measurements due to "liability concerns," a policy that was apparently implemented about 1.5 years ago--without notifying patients. This policy effectively prevents patients from ordering glasses elsewhere. I expressed my disappointment and noted that had I known of this policy change, I would have chosen a different provider. Erin initially stated she would "share my concerns in a roundabout way" with management. When I mentioned I would also be completing a survey, she told me there was no need for her to pass along my concerns because management reviews surveys. I made it clear that I still expected my concerns to be communicated directly, as I was speaking with a staff member who had the ability to do so. If you are comfortable purchasing expensive, limited frame options in-office, this may not be an issue for you. However, if you prefer the flexibility to order your own frames and lenses, I recommend looking elsewhere. As a result of this experience, I advised my mother to cancel her upcoming appointment, and we will be transitioning our care to another provider.

Employees were inside, saw him standing there, and chose to ignore him. No one came to the door. No communication. Nothing. There is zero mention anywhere; not on their Google listing, not on their website, not even on their phone system--that they randomly shut down for lunch. That is completely unacceptable. If you're going to routinely close in the middle of the day, post your actual hours like every other professional business does. And what makes this even more infuriating is that this isn't new. I found multiple reviews from months ago saying the exact same thing. Customers locked out during business hours, ignored, and told after the fact that "we'll look into it." It's been half a year and clearly nothing has changed. You're not looking into anything, you're just wasting people's time and hoping no one calls you out. We will never return to this location, and frankly, neither should you. They do not respect your time, and they clearly don't care about fixing their own ongoing issues.
