The staff members were incredibly helpful, patient and professional. We were immediately greeted upon entering and a team member helped me set up an account. This location is a complete joke. My husband took time off work, his paid time off, to come during their posted business hours... only to find the doors locked and a handwritten sign saying they were "closed for lunch" from 1 to 2pm. Employees were inside, saw him standing there, and chose to ignore him. No one came to the door. No communication. Nothing. There is zero mention anywhere; not on their Google listing, not on their website, not even on their phone system--that they randomly shut down for lunch. That is completely unacceptable. If you're going to routinely close in the middle of the day, post your actual hours like every other professional business does. And what makes this even more infuriating is that this isn't new. I found multiple reviews from months ago saying the exact same thing. Customers locked out during business hours, ignored, and told after the fact that "we'll look into it." It's been half a year and clearly nothing has changed. You're not looking into anything, you're just wasting people's time and hoping no one calls you out. We will never return to this location, and frankly, neither should you. They do not respect your time, and they clearly don't care about fixing their own ongoing issues. read more

So I bought a pair glasses and when I put them on, I realized I could not see close-up. And they said the glasses were only made for far away but when they check my prescription they made the mistake now they would like of $100 more to fix it and I've already paid $800 for the glasses. read more

Today I called Visionworks to discuss issues with my glasses cracking after less than a year worth of use . The male rep working there on "Father's Day 2018" was asked a simple question. The question was due to their glasses have issues with cracking since this was the 3rd time in a year this issue has occurred . The rep wanted to over talk me and to say that this is my issue since the Warrenty has expired and I need to consider how I treat my glasses when I'm not wearing them. I have had 3 set of $500 per pair glasses from VW over the past year and they continue to crack . I am sure it an inferior process used to make them and based on the issue and attitude of the male rep working at the Carolina Place mall on Father's day 2018 . I'm writing a review for the Visionworks in the Carolina Place Mall in Pineville, NC. Nick has served me several times-- but so have others who are equally great. They all have spent a lot of time figuring out the least expensive way for me to obtain glasses-- my Rx changes often. They also spend A LOT of time finding the frame that best fits my face, is within the "sale" category and also provides enough room for my complex progressive Rx. Honestly don't understand why they have such a low rating. I went there today and had the most amazing service i have honestly ever had i used to only go to the arboretum Visionworks but they were so booked and this one was closer so i went here instead and i had help from Delilah who was incredible she gave me her opinion on what type of glasses i should get even gave me a card to help me get my current glasses fixed and that was so kind of her! TERRIBLE! I went in on monday morning without an appointment for an eye exam and to get glasses. The receptionist said she Might be able to squeeze me in. At that time there was one person in the exam part of the store and one person shopping in the frames section. I asked the lady how long and she just couldnt tell me. After filling out the form, i asked again and she was just completely rude, condescending, juSt a total TERRIBLE! So I walked through the frame section and was ignored by everyone even though there was no one else in the store. After spending a few minutes listening to the employees gripe gossip and chatter, I left. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE. read more

I had two bad experiences with this location. When checking in, the front desk staff seem confused or irritated that you're there. For example, they asked for my name and then ignored me until someone came from the back who was kind enough to tell me that I was checked in and could sit down until they called me. Strange experience. They told me I had bad depth perception but then the optometrist didn't seem to know the answers to my questions about what that meant. Two stars because I technically got what I came for (a prescription for new glasses and contacts). Avoid at all costs! My 80 year old mom spent over $400 on glasses that she couldn't use. Upon receipt she told the manager she couldn't see clearly. He said you'll get used to it. 30 days later, still unable to see she returned and was told to go back to her doctor to check her prescription. The doctor confirmed her prescription was accurate and the glasses were off. When she asked for new lenses they refused, claiming the glasses were made to prescription, not caring that she couldn't see clearly. Instead of trying to make things right, this store just pointed the finger elsewhere. No concern for an elderly person's vision, for customer satisfaction, for the assessment by the doctor, just excuses and accusations. Do Not Shop Here, it's not worth the risk. read more

To the other reviewers credit they are right on the mark! My wife and I both got glasses at the same time. Neither one of us can see well with our new glasses. When we mentioned it we were told the same thing " you will get used to them." Well it's been a little over 2 months and I still haven't "gotten used to them". I'll be contacting the store manager, district manager whomever else I can contact within the organization about this. I will make sure I tell everyone I know to steer clear of Vision Works. These people were so lazy they wouldn't even adjust my glasses, I was lucky enough to have someone at a Walmart optical center adjust them for me. WALMART! I went to Visionworks at the Carolina Place Mall in Pineville NC to look at frames and see what was available. My sales associate Renee' was fantastic! Not only did she remind me of their promotion, but went over it with me so I understood what it was about. She also helped me decide on the frames for my regular glasses when I couldn't make a decision. She also put my orders in for my two pairs right away so that I was able to have them when I went out of town the next weekend! Thank you Renee'! read more

Katlyn M. did the most amazing job in helping me to decide what was right for me and my vision needs. I used to go to the high dollar, niche eyeglass stores and was never truly happy with what I had received and the limited selection. Katlyn even helped me to realize that I needed a plastic frame closer to my eyes for my prescription to be more beneficial for me when no one else had before. She was patient and listened to me and helped me no matter how challenging I was. She is truly amazing and I will be back time after time because of how she treated me and how she represented your company so wonderfully. I have absolutely no complaints while I only have wonderful recommendations to whomever I discuss this with.
