This office is top drawer---professional, efficient, and gracious. Perhaps the quality I appreciate most is their keen corporate memory. Usually it's one visit, my eye exam, per year, and everyone on the staff remembers me and recalls my history with their office. It is a pleasure to experience a staff that knows its stuff. I've been a patient here for six years, ever since I walked out of my previous optometrist's office, and did the research I should have done. I selected Doctor Bailey, and I couldn't have chosen a better optometrist. She's knowledgable, thorough, and conscientious. She explains things to me with respect for my intelligence. My mother and I have been patients here for several years and have always received excellent care from Dr. Bailey. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Unfortunately, our most recent experience with the office administration has changed our decision to continue as patients.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] At my last visit, my prescription changed significantly, and I am now transitioning into progressive lenses for the first time. Because I order my glasses independently, confirming my pupillary distance (PD) is essential. This has never been an issue in the past. [[HIGHLIGHT]]After leaving a voicemail with no response, I called again and was eventually transferred to the office, where I spoke with Erin.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I was informed that the practice no longer provides PD measurements due to "liability concerns," a policy that was apparently implemented about 1.5 years ago--without notifying patients. This policy effectively prevents patients from ordering glasses elsewhere. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I expressed my disappointment and noted that had I known of this policy change, I would have chosen a different provider.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Erin initially stated she would "share my concerns in a roundabout way" with management. When I mentioned I would also be completing a survey, she told me there was no need for her to pass along my concerns because management reviews surveys.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I made it clear that I still expected my concerns to be communicated directly, as I was speaking with a staff member who had the ability to do so. If you are comfortable purchasing expensive, limited frame options in-office, this may not be an issue for you. However, if you prefer the flexibility to order your own frames and lenses, I recommend looking elsewhere. I recommend this eye center. Expensive as the dickens but when I google searches prices for glasses the price I had to pay out of pocket was within the quoted researched price. Office is clean and very aesthetically pleasing. Parking lot is a yuck but inside : superb. I am overall pleased I will return for eye exams. Maybe not glasses cause my GOD $$$$. Really great optometrist office. Dr. Bailey is really friendly and a top notch optician . She is thorough and detailed with your eye exam and any issues that may occur. Eye exams and glasses are the selling points. The efficient office staff will greet you and go out of their way to serve you and make sure you have excellent service. When my glasses frames broke they ordered the parts and made it happen in a very timely manner. I was able to get my new lenses and frame repaired at the same time. This location is right on Carmel Road just across from the old Carmel Post office location . Excellent service ! Two thumbs way up.l read more

I have been coming to the Eye Care Center for years. From the front desk of Erin and Manager Amy to Andrea using the machines on my eyes I call the one machine the puffer lol It blows air in your eye an takes a picture. I originally was Dr Henderson's patient he left an I started seeing Dr Bailey who is wonderful. She has always gone over an beyond making sure my diabetes is not having an effect on eyes to my allergies in my eyes. I have such amazing care an any issue with a bill Amy has helped me resolve. You can't get a better team to work together. If your looking for a Eye Dr go to the Eye Care center not to mention huge selection of glasses to choose from and sun glasses. read more

I initially liked this place, but they are a nightmare to get a hold of on the phone for any reason and then when/ if you do get through to someone (you honestly have a better chance of becoming Pope) they are SO RUDE and will literally just hang up on you and not even attempt to call you back. I will never be back here. Their website is never working, so you can't even order anything online and you can literally hear the receptionists huffing and puffing under their breath like they're SOOO annoyed they have to answer the phone. Then, like I said, they just hang up. I've never seen any kind of place ran so unprofessionally in my life. The strengths of the glasses change from top to bottom and I'm not happy with that they never explained it to me when they're ordering them for me that they were going to get me those. I came here for my first ever eye appointment, as all of my in laws are patients and recommended the Eye Care Center. The ladies here are excellent with first timers, and explain everything that is going on. It can be difficult to get the coveted weekend appointment, so make sure to call in advance of when you need to go. The last time I went was actually my second appointment. I was in and out in 20 minutes. It was fantastic. I paid $30 extra to get the machine that takes pictures of your eyes so they don't have to be dilated. Totally worth it in my opinion. Andrea, the technician is patient when you are getting all of your tests done. Especially the puff of air, that nobody really likes. They also have glasses and sunglasses available for purchase. But there is no pressure to buy from them. You can take your prescription to Lens Crafters and there isn't any guilt trip. If you live in the area, definitely consider the Eye Care Center, you will be happy. read more

Very impressed with the quality of care and customer service received! Friendly staff and they pay attention to detail. When I placed my last order online with a 3rd party site, they caught an error in the power of my contact lense so they called me and asked me to try the pair they had as my correct perscription in the system just to make sure rather than just correcting the order. I only had an hour break in my work schedule to get my annual eye exam and a contact prescription. I called on a Tuesday and was able to get an appointment for the next day. Unfortunately that is where the good news stops! I made it clear during the initial phone call that I would only have an hour for my appointment. I had to wait 5 minutes to check in due to both receptionists being busy. I checked in and asked the receptionist whether I would be able to get done with this appointment within less than an hour. She said that shouldn't be a problem and someone should be with me shortly. 20 minutes later, someone comes to the waiting area to take me back for my appointment. At that point I said I need to leave to get back to work in the next 30 minutes, is there enough time for the appointment? And they looked at me like I had 3 heads. Time is such a valuable commodity and it was such a small office, they certainly need to work on customer service and learn to be more efficient with their time! I'm sad to say that all of this was a waste of my time and I had to leave without being seen by the doctor. read more
