I've always come here to get my glasses and I'm never disappointed. I usually see Dr Fu however I had to see Dr Fairless but I liked him just as much. The optometrist are both great and kind. They both explain what's going on very well. The staff that helps you check out seem very busy and I think they might need one more person. They are all very nice and do what they can but I actually felt bad for them. read more

I was at the Store in Rochester Hills MI with my mother who needed new glasses. She had a prescription. The service was very good, there and the staff was very polite and helpful. They said it would take 7-10 days until the glasses are ready. It's been more than 3 weeks and nobody from the Lens Crafters called us. When I called there I was told that they have some delays due to weather!!!?? I asked when should we expect the glasses, she said she did not know, that it might take " a while" She said it was no tracking number and she had no phone number for the lab!!!?? She was not able to give any information. Very dissapointing , the attitude was not great either ! The escuses were more than ridiculous. read more

This location is temporarily closed without informing customers who had scheduled appointments. They just cancelled my appt with no communication. Nice! Good job! I call the other Rochester location to find out what is going on and the guy says this location will reopen in June. According to Google under the details of this location, they will reopen in November! Quality customer service just doesnt exist anymore. read more

From eye exam to consultation with the doctor to picking out eyeglass frames to receiving finished glasses was a great experience! Came here with my son who needed all the above. We were immediately greeted by Dr. Fu upon walking in. Appointments as at 11:20 and he was seen for exam about 5 minutes after that. Digital exam was completed within 15 minutes. Then was seen by the doctor about 10 minutes after that. Once the frames were selected and fitted, we were told it would be about a 15 minute wait for the lab to finish the lenses and finish. We decided to walk next door to get a coffee at Starbucks. He received a text that the glasses were completed and ready in less than 10 minutes! Total time was ~an hour. BEWARE guys. Better look for an alternate vendor and don't fall for these guys. I hope this will be my last visit. Don't want to do any more business with them. Myself and my wife visited this place a week before for vision exam. Took almost 2 hrs to complete the exam as opposed to only 20 mins. We ordered eyeglasses for both of us and came back. After 4 days I received email notification that both glasses are ready for pickup. When I visited them this Saturday, one of the staff went back into the store and brought a glass which I ordered for myself with my wife's prescription wrapped around it. WTF????!!!!. Rather than being apologetic, she went on saying its JUST a mistake but the actual prescription is still mine. SERIOUSLY??? How someone can be this much careless when it comes to one's health. When asked for my wife's pair, she said its not yet ready and will let me know once it is ready. I am not sure how she is going to do that when I already received the glass ready notification. I hope I will get her glass back. read more

I had a great experience. Make sure to have Candace assist you. Candace helped me find frames that I really like, worked very hard to get me the best deal, and really took time to explain the progressive frames that I am using for the first time. Very poor customer service. No one acknowledges you when you walk in as they are very busy talking to each other. Had an eye exam with Dr. Phu and he was very good though. Spent time answering my questions about why my eyesight wasn't stabilizing. Waited 10 minutes after the exam to speak with someone about their lens options, one lady pointed me to another who was busy with a client, saying she knows more about it. Hmm.. wonder why she works there then. So just payed for my exam and walked out. Don't want to give such places any of my business if they don't know their jobs and are unhelpful. read more

Easy Scheduling. Confirmation phone call prior to appointment. Prompt, courteous service and I was in and out within 30 minutes after an eye exam. Ordering was easy and was given a nice trial pair of new contacts. Doctor was friendly, efficient, and direct. This place is a little pricey though. read more

This was our third eyeglass store today. It, by far, exceeded the other stores in customer service. The staff was courteous and helpful. They were also knowledgable. My daughter tried on several pair of glasses and easily helped to those in the case as well. We were there for about an hour- which included shopping, explanation, and the glasses being made. Now that I have gone to another eye dr I realized I was overcharged at LensCrafters!! I am entitled to a free eye exam through Medicare and a discount on contact lenses. I got neither. When I told the staff what insurance I had, they said nothing was covered. ripoff!! Train your staff or close your doors. These are people's eyes you are dealing with. read more

I arrived for my 12:20 appointment 15 minutes early hoping to get in and out quick. I waited over an hour to finally see the doctor.

Terrible experience. Took them 40 minutes to even verify my insurance and then told me that I was not on the policy. Which was untrue, was able to get insurance verified quickly over the phone with another eye doctor Upon leaving LensCrafters. The woman at the front desk seemed super irritable with her coworkers, and was not in any hurry to assist me. Will not be back. read more

I recently had cataract surgery and no longer need my prescription glasses. My husband likes the looks of my glasses on me so I wanted to replace the prescription lenses with clear plastic lenses. I called 2 other businesses and both wanted $100+ and 5 days -2 weeks. Lens Crafters replaced the lenses on the spot and for FREE! I was very happy with the exam and staff. Very fast, professional and courteous. They took me in for my exam when I was 10 minutes late with no problems. The sales/associate picked out the perfect pair of glasses on the first try. They took my insurance with no problems and explained everything in detail. Worst customer service ever. I had an eye appointment, had my eyes checked and the lady asked if I was getting glasses. I told her that I was possibly interested in sunglasses. She spent 2 minutes with me and said she would be back. I waited 25 minutes while she worked with other customers. I asked her if I was done and she said give her a second. I then watched her talk to another customer. I have had bad experiences at Lens Crafters before and should have learned my lesson then. read more

My 7 year old daughter and I went to the LensCrafters as Lakeside Mall on Jan 22nd immediately following an appointment with her pediatric eye doctor. They had the frames we wanted but could not make her lenses due to an equipment issue in the lab. The Lakeside store called around to other LensCrafters locations and located one who could make the lenses which happened to in be Rochester Hills. When we arrived in Rochester Hills, they knew exactly who we were and what we were there for. They double checked her measurements and got busy making her glasses. They lived up to their promise of "in about an hour". A little over an hour later, my sweet daughter had her new glasses on, and with the biggest grin ever was seeing the world better than she ever had. We revisited her pediatric eye doctor today who checked the glasses and said they were made exactly as the prescription called for. Have been coming here for years. Very disappointed. I recently switched from glasses to contacts. I loved my coach prescription glasses but can't wear them because they're prescription. I called ahead and asked if I could just get plastic non prescription lenses in. I went to the store today I told the lady helping me I wanted the same exact lenses just non prescription. She came back and forth from the lab 3 times with questions about color and gradient. Again I told her I wanted whatever is in the frames now just without prescription. She walked back to the lab again and said very loudly to the lab tech " you gotta love customers". I interrupted her and informed her that I could hear her insult me and to return my glasses and I will go elsewhere. She began backpedaling and apologizing. I really like this location. Their process while you have an appointment is great with all the tests that are required and even the ones that are optional. The one thing that isn't great is that you wait quite a while just for a simple contact check that should take at least 10 minutes. read more

Poor customer service. Disorganized. My original appointment was fantastic. The Dr said she measured me for both daily and two week lenses so that I could switch if the two week lenses didn't work out. I ordered a year supply of the two week lenses which only lasted 8 months. At that point I decided to switch to the daily lenses but apparently the Dr never noted the measurements in my chart and my name was spelled incorrectly so they couldn't find me in the system. I had to go back in for another fitting and was going to be charged until I explained the situation again. I arrived for the second fitting and waited for a half hour past my appointment time. Dr Habib was great and gave me two types of daily lenses to try. When I called to order the lenses, I was told they would have to call me back. When they did the had to put me on hold and I was then disconnected. I called back and was put on hold again. I picked up my prescription and will not be back. read more

This place used to be the best place to go for my contact prescription. I've been going here for the past 7 years now, and with all honestly can say things have changed. The staff seems to get worse and worse. I feel like no one wants to actually HELP me and everyone is trying to rob you of your money here. I have great insurance and get GREAT, GREAT coverage on everything and pay very little but I feel like the staff here almost wants me to not get my coverage. They don't want to work with me and seem like they get annoyed when I MAKE SURE I get the best deal I can for myself. Now don't get me wrong at one point there use to be some people here, who did just that and they were great. But majority of the people here nowadays... Rude and impatient. It is to the point where I dread having to go in and order/pickup things. Lend crafter as a company is great. This location though, AVOID AT ALL COST. Take care. read more
