Really rude service and an incredibly high price. First, they won't replace lenses unless you have a prescription that is less than a year old. Next, the staff is rude. Third, replacing a pair of lenses (with no change in frames) will cost you over $500 (that is after the insurance discount), and they don't even produce the lenses on site! Certainly you can replace lenses somewhere else at a much lower price. To top it off, they responded to my complaint elsewhere by saying that it isn't corporate policy to respond to complaints by providing any sort of discounts, but they would be happy to explain your insurance policy for you. Really unhappy with this office. They are too lazy or disorganized to preauthorize your insurance like any other eye doctor I have gone to has. They instead had me pay the full cost upfront and told me they would submit the claim and I would be reimbursed. When I asked how long this would take, they originally told me 30 days which then turned into 90 days the next time I called. Called after 90 days and they tell me the claim was rejected and nobody bothered to call to tell me this. Then they tell me that LensCrafters, where their office is located, is in network with my insurance, but they are not. They are "separate" from LensCrafters, although you literally make appointments with them on the LensCrafters website and walk into the LensCrafters office to see them. So I am now out of pocket for the full cost despite having insurance that would have been accepted at many other offices. Only go here if you are happy to chase after them for information, otherwise I would avoid. read more

Run don't walk to a more reputable dealer. We purchased prescription sunglasses to the tune of $335 less than a year ago. The frame broke. Took them in today for repair and were told 'we no longer handle that brand'. Okay....but don't you stand behind what you sold? 'Not if we no longer carry the brand.' I'd call this poor service at best, a bait and switch at worst. All they need to do to avoid customer service is to change their brand offerings. For your own sake, and that of your budget, I'd suggest one find a reputable dealer that stands behind their product. read more

Terrible terrible terrible! I called today to check on the delay on my glasses shipment. They send they were on the way. I then asked for the shipping number and they said they would call me back. They called me back and said that the glasses were sent back because They had the wrong address.... no "sorry about that". She clearly didn't care. Then I realized it was the same woman who helped me with the order. She was so not friendly. Anyway I would definitely not recommend this branch. Terrible terrible terrible customer service. I went here because my new vision insurance covered Lens Crafters and this was close to my house. I was so pleasantly surprised. Not only was the doctor knowledgable and very nice, but the office manager there was AWESOME!! She helped me navigate my insurance to get the most bang for my buck and when I screwed up and gave my regular debit card instead of my HSA card (forgot because we were laughing and chatting so much) she rerang everything the next day which included contacting my insurance to make sure it was resubmitted properly. I would recommend this office to EVERYONE! Great experience! read more

I really needed to get my eyes checked, and since I no longer have VSP, I like coming to Lenscrafters since I get a discount through AAA. They took $10 off my eye exam and 15% off my lenses (I think it's 30% off if you get a full pair of glasses). The staff were really friendly and helpful. They did a great job at taking care of each person's individual needs. I really liked the woman who checked me in, did my initial exam, and helped with my lens purchase (I think her name was Sharon?) The optometrist I had was very nice and he was able to help me figure out why I had problems with my vision that it seems no one in the past could figure out even though I told them. They got my lenses put in after about half an hour which was great. It's also nice having it in that new shopping strip since H&M is across the way and it didn't seem like too long of a wait. Yesterday I went to pickup a pair of glasses that I got called they were ready. I stood at the front desk for a good 10 minutes before ANYONE acknowledged me. You need to work on your customer service to at least acknowledge customers when they come into your store!! read more

Came in and asked if they accept VSP insurance. We were told 'yes'. Then spent an hour picking out frames and setting up lenses. We were given an outrageous price that was a 'discount.' Only then were told they are not in the VSP network so don't get the insurance benefit and were given 'out of network' pricing. Since VSP doesn't really have an out of network benefit, this was really a bait and switch that only served to waste our time. read more

Her tone was kurt which I over looked because I liked the glasses. I said I had optical insurance and she was short again with me saying 'well I didn't know you had optical?' I was recently in Scottsdale on a golf trip and developed a corneal ulcer. I called a few places (Pearle Vision to name one) that couldn't or wouldn't fit me in. Lenscrafters not only fit me in, but had me in and out in 15 minutes. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and even made some good recommendations on how to keep this from occurrung again. My employer vision plan changed to Nationwide Vision. So very sorry that I cannot continue with LensCrafters this year as they are out of network. Excellent quality, fast service and excellent optometrist. My husband bought new glasses at Nationwide. Really crappy, cheap and poorly made. One of the lenses fell out within two weeks and it took approx 6-8 weeks to receive them when first ordered. read more

If I was just rating Dr. B, it'd be 5 star. He is just great. Really works to make sure you are happy with your contacts, and he is fun too! He used to be at Lenscrafters at City North then moved down here, which stinks, but it's worth it to keep him as my eye doctor. Yes, I will actually drive south of the 101 for him. The eyecare staff are all pleasant, but I have to say they kind of make me crazy with the appointment reminders. Several emails, and then a phone call...stop already! I have other things to do than delete emails from you or answer phone calls. I am a grown-up and I know I have an appointment. As for Lenscrafters the eyewear place---well, I found a pair of glasses I kind of liked, so the girl took a photo of me in the frames so my husband could see and voice an opinion. She told me about 3 times that she'd be in the store the next day at ten until six (or whatever). I told her I'd probably call her before noon with feedback. So, I am in the middle of a meeting (but planning to call her when the meeting was over in a few minutes) and my phone rings at 10.05. So I answer it and it's the Lenscrafter girl and she wants to know about the glasses. And you know what---it just peed me off. I am so sick of the aggression and the stalking by call, email and text, and the lack of customer service. I am not dealing with it any more. I just told her "no, not interested". (BTW, I did end up buying those frames from a place up here---a little more costy, but no stalking and no driving south of 101). read more

I ordered replacement lenses for my daughters glasses and never received a phone call they were in. After almost 2 weeks I called them and was told they were in. We dropped off her frames to have the lenses put in and they ruined the lenses. They had to reorder them. Again I never got a phone call when the new lenses came in. If you order glasses/lenses through them make sure you call them after a few days to check on your order because you can count on them not calling you when they come in. read more

I had a wonderful experience at this location. A year ago I got my glasses here and all have been great. I returned for my usual check up with the doctors at this location and then Jenny helped me again with new frames and lenses. She went out of her way to make it quick and easy. On top of which, I found out my insurance had changed so I had no coverage and she made some allowances to make it all doable. Love this place and all the staff. read more

I love coming here. I have an excellent eye doctor and he makes sure you're in and out pretty fast. As for the other side I paid for 2 year old prescription in my glasses instead of my new one. All I got was an apology. I am getting a new pair and I hope it won't happen again. read more

DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS! ZERO Stars. The glasses were incredibly expensive (almost 400 dollars) and the frames became discolored. The name Burberry is disappearing. In addition, the lens have some strange coating on them which makes them hard to see out of. These were a replacement that I had to BUY since they were out of the 2 week warranty and the lens developed a problem. I did not cause the lens problem-- the person in their store overheated the lens while cleaning them so I saw halo's and everything was distorted. I couldn't even wear them. So had to order a new pair. I went into have them adjusted and cleaned a couple months ago, and whatever they used made a couple scratches and a scuff mark that I have to look through.... Yesterday I went in because the hinge needed fixing and the woman who worked there said there was nothing that could be done. She didn't even try--or offer to clean them-- or try to adjust them-- and they weren't busy. ****LAZY!!!!**** She did direct me to buy new glasses. I went home and made a fix. They have HORRIBLE customer service. They have worn out their chances and I won't EVER be back. read more

I went and got an eye exam and the service was good. I had to pay cash for the contact lens exam portion ($85) because they said that wasn't covered by the insurance. Later, I went to get frames elsewhere and found out that LensCrafters had filed a claim against my insurance for the portion that I had already paid cash for making it so the frames were no longer covered. Our insurance rep called LensCrafters and she was that we only paid a small portion of what we really paid in cash. It was a big headache, make sure to double check insurance coverage and what you give them cash wise. read more

I was vacationing in North Scottsdale with my daughter who was on break from school. She happens to mention that she has lost her glasses and cannot see after she takes her contacts out (!!!). Back home we use LensCrafters so I looked up the local LensCrafters which happened to be this location. I spoke with Stephanie who looked up my daughters prescription and said they could help us when we come in and gave us their hours. Of course, this woman had no idea if we were actually going to come in, right? Later that day we went over to LensCrafters and Stephanie welcomed us and announced that she ALREADY HAD a set of lenses waiting for us! All we had to do was pick frames. WHAT??? Such service and with such wonderful guidance. Stephanie walked us quickly through all the styles with the nose guards (my daughters preference) and we walked out of there within 20 minutes!!! We actually ordered a second pair which were ready for us later!! Amazing AMAZING service. Kudos to LensCrafters for finding such a wonderful expert in this field. read more

I have been having trouble with the LensCrafters in Fashion Square for about a week. All I get is runaround. I went into get new glasses with my insurance. After I picked out frames I sat down with a guy to tell them what I needed. I gave him the frames I chose and said that I wanted Polycarbonate lens. He mentioned I should have the anit-reflective coating and I said ok anyway He started figuring the price and said it was close to what I paid last time with the same glasses. What he did not mention that he included a service agreement for $29.99. I is my somewhat my fault since I did not read the complete receipt, I took for granted that since the price was close to last time it was the same. Anyway I called up and told them I did not want the service agreement and Kay said she would refund it. That was on Monday and should would refund my credit card for the amount. I waited 2 days and did not hear anything so I called again and was told the Sharon King would have to do the refund since she was the manager and I would be done and I would get a call back, I did not one. I called on Friday and was told that Devin would be doing the refund Friday and again nothing. This store is really bad for customer serivce. I would not recomend them for anything. read more
