Got two pairs of Cartier frames, both with extreme progressives, one pair of sunglasses, and one regular. They nailed them both perfect first time, with a quick turnaround. I need good glasses more than most. I have a vision type that needs thick lenses, I am far sighted. Over 45 years ago I walked into Paris Optique only because I was killing time before an important meeting in the immediate area. I was greeted by Fabrizio, and the second thing he said to me was 'I can really help you'. The glasses I was wearing were pretty thick, as they had always been up to then. The glasses he helped me select were perfect, light weight, thin lenses yet I could see very well. Well 45 years later I still do business with only them. The great eyewear selection, their knowledge level, combined with precision grinding of my very difficult prescription keeps my glasses looking good and my lenses thin as possible, yet I can see very well! Now 25 years later, one is back in style, and it's like brand new even though I wore them the most, for for weeks on end. I was disappointed to see there are not too many places to find a pair of quality frames. Paris Optique is a locally owned business that sells high end eye glasses and sunglasses. There are two locations: Waterfront and Scottsdale Quarter. I prefer the Scottsdale Quarter location, the associates are super helpful there! I work with Chris a lot because he really listens to my needs and takes the time to help me find the right look for me. Paris Optique is great. The entire staff is very accomodating. I used to have problems with glasses because my lenses, despite different doctors prescribing, were not good. After reading for a bit, I fell asleep. I started coming to Paris Optique and whatever it is that they do . . . ? better quality lenses, better measurements? . . . that problem has been gone for decades. I am fairly brutal to my glasses and have been buying Lindberg titanium glasses. They are expensive but last a long time and Fanny and the staff always help me find an edgy but classy design. In addition to lasting and my not being able to destroy them with my everyday living, they are light as a feather. No sweating in the Arizona heat from the Lindbergs! I bought 5 pair of glasses here and used to love the place. I moved to LA and want to get my eyes checked so that I can have a new prescription and order some glasses online from here. The person who answered the phone was rude, unkind, denigrating and totally unwilling to send me my old prescription so that I can see if my eyes have improved or not. I was told that it is a hippaa violation to provide me with my own prescription. What a bs. He said I could not prove it was me asking for it while I offered to send my ID by email. The owner who is French (forgot her name) and I used to speak French with would not be happy with this way of handling a good customer as she has always been super kind. I probably visited every optical shop in Phoenix and Scottsdale and ironically found by far the best upscale selection closest to home in the Quarter. Astounding choices and highest quality frames are important but the lenses are key. I really appreciated that there were technical problems with mine but the Paris team stood behind their work and remade the lenses until they were right. I told her that was ok thank you and I would just go somewhere else when she promptly said GOOD and shoved the glasses at me. If that wasn't bad enough she then started to tell another customer that was in the store what happened. I have never been treated with such disrespect. High end and low class service. Had the worst experience at this location. My boyfriend and I walked into the store and the two associates working didn't even acknowledge us the entire time we were there. The woman had airpods in her ear and couldn't care less about us. As for the man, instead of helping us, the man decides to help a different customer that was covered in brand named clothing, so I guess these sales associates only help the super wealthy. We went to Optical Shop of Aspen (across the street) and had a completely different experience. Highly recommend Optical Shop of Aspen, they're friendly and they helped us find our glasses. It's rare for me to write reviews, but when I receive something outstanding I feel others should know about it. I've purchased lenses from Paris Optique in Scottsdale Quarter several times over the last few years, mainly because of unique frames that posed challenges that other chain Opticians refused. Each set of progressive lenses they created were excellent. Recently I found that I required leaning my neck back in order to focus on computer screens and explained this issue to them. The most recent lenses they fit in my frames for daily wear resolved this issue. They always spend a lot of time discussing the glasses and making sure they have measured the fit correctly. It's rare these days to find such great attentiveness and personalized care. In my experience with several pairs of daily glasses and sunglasses with them over several years, I've found Paris Optique Scottsdale Quarter to be outstanding, and this from a very critical person like myself :) read more

I tried on and saw a pair of the Porsche Design sunglasses in the Paris Optique Store in LA, but decided to grab a pair in Scottsdale. I was in the area and went to the Scottsdale Quarter location to make the purchase but was undecided between the Porsches and Ditas. I asked the salesman to assist me and give me the Porsche in the 69 size in white. He handed me the design, but when I asked him to show me the extra lens, he responded, "are you buying these". Very surprised by his response, I said "maybe". His negative tone with me continued. Needless to say by the end of the conversation, I did not purchase the sunglasses. If you are looking for great customer service at Paris Optique, purchase at another location. NEVER SHOP HERE!!!!! I REPEAT NEVER SHOP HERE!!!!! PLEASE READ MY STORY!!! Let me explain. I went in a couple days ago to get some sunglasses. I ended up purchasing 2 pairs of sun glasses and 1 pair of reading glasses. This place is extremely expensive and my total was $2,736.53. Since this place is not up to date with technology - transactions and receipts are all done by hand... and this is why that is a problem. My American Express was charged $27,365.32! Yes. You read that correctly!!!!! I left the store- 30 minutes later Michelle Torre called me and told me she had messed up and asked me to come back. I did not have enough time to do that as I had already left the quarter. Michelle asked for my credit card information And ran my Amex AGAIN for $2,736.53 and said the other charge would drop off immediately and Michelle would text me the canceled transaction and the new receipt. I never received anything that day ( Saturday.) So of course first thing Sunday I checked my account. And now I have over $30,000.00 in charges on my card from Paris Optique - so I called as soon as they opened and asked for Michelle. Michelle told me she had canceled it and texted me the information. I proceeded to tell Michelle that I had not received ANYTHING. Michelle's response was. Well it says the message was delivered on my phone as Michelle was supposedly messaging me from her personal phone. Well. I have the iPhone 10 and if it says sent on her phone... I would have had a message on my phone. So I called BS. I asked Michelle to email Me a picture of the sent text message as well as receipts. I received an email a little bit later of the receipts but of course no picture of the sent text message Michelle said she had sent the day before. So exactly what I had thought. BS. So let's fast forward to today. Which is now over 48 hours after I was charged over $30,000.00 for two pairs of sunglasses and one pair of reading glasses... I checked my online account and of course the charge was still there so I called Amex. They told me the charge was still there and had no information of a canceled charge but I could file a claim with them (Amex). Sooooo I called this piece of shit store back YET AGAIN. Asked to speak to Michelle Torre... told Michelle the charge is still there and Amex does not have a canceled charge on their behalf so Michelle tells me she's going to call her merchant or something like that and call me back. I told Michelle I needed a 10% discount because stuff like this should NEVER happen and this has now gone on 3 days. (I'm also In my first trimester of pregnancy and major stress like this could Cause me to miscarry my child.) So. Here I am. It's almost 4 pm. And Michelle just called back. Michelle had the uplifting news that she has no answers for me and I should call Amex again as she can't get any information on the situation. Oh. And to top it off they will Not refund me 10% but they will take $40.00. Yes you read that correctly... $40.00!!!! off of my prescription lenses for my new reading glasses... and to add the cherry to the top.... the price they quoted me on the prescription lenses while I was in the store was SO SO SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO high I declined it and said I will go elsewhere. It was over $400.00 with tax to do prescription lenses!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is absurd!!!!! And I don't have a crazy prescription at all! There are a million places to get sunglasses. GO ANYWHERE BUT HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I would hate for anyone to go through what has happened to me..... and yes. The charge is still on my account! Thank goodness Amex is awesome about stuff like this and will take care of it. It has been four days and the charge is still there. Now I get to file a claim with Amex and have them fight it. I just updated this review as she said the charge would be gone 2 days ago. I also updated the picture so you can see how many days this charge has been on my account. read more

I know I already wrote a glowing review, but the folks at Paris Optique did it again so I felt the need to add to my review. The glasses I ordered were nice -- extraordinarily nice, but I felt like the rimless lenses were a little big for my face. I wore the glasses for a few months, but could not get used to them. I called the store and talked to Chris and Jennifer. Both were wonderful and wanted to make sure everything was right and I was happy. I was not looking for a freebie as I had "approved" the initial design. However, Jennifer and Chris understood my concerns and promised to do whatever they could to help me. We reworked the lens size and, while they made no promises, they went back to the manufacturer to see what they could do. Ultimately they were able to get the lenses taken care of for me. They bent over backward to help. They were understanding and supportive. This is a high-end store. The service I received was second to none. Once again the people at Paris Optique outdid themselves and exceeded my expectations. read more

In this day and age when customer service has become so exceptional at retailers like Lululemon, Apple, etc...this place has stayed true to its roots in snobbery, talking down to customers and being rude to children. The guy in the store became defensive, rude and arrogant from the moment I simply inquired about the return policy and was even ruder when I left, snapped at my 7 year old daughter. I gave him the feedback that I walked into the store prepared to buy a pair of $300 shades, but the way he communicated changed my decision. Note, I walked in there after winning $25k on the Masters and didn't have sunglasses on me, so he literally had to "unclose" me. If there was a 6th star option, I would have chosen it. Highly recommend this location for any optical or sunglass purchase. I was looking for a Tom Ford men's sunglass option, and worked with Jennifer on a few choices that I saw on the TF website. Jennifer was incredibly helpful and patient, and also directed me to a few options that I had not considered. In the end it took me a few visits to narrow down to my final 2 choices, and each time I came in Jennifer helped me and provided unbiased advice on what looked and fit best. I opted for an optical frame with a sunglass lens, and was thrilled with the results. One of the best parts was being able to have the lenses done and in under 45 minutes. Jennifer was a pleasure to work with and made me feel incredibly valuable as a customer. I have already recommended Paris Optique to a couple of people I work with, and suggested they visit this location and ask for Jennifer. After making the purchase I asked if there was an email address or contact information for the company, and Jennifer suggested I leave a review on Yelp since her boss read those often. I can honestly say that I had the option to purchase these frames from a couple of other retailers, some for the same or a slightly lower price, but it was the level of customer service and integrity that your employee(s) provided that made the sale, and I am strongly considering a 2nd pair as a result of my experience. In my experience customer service is not a strength of many companies, but in this instance it was the interaction with Jennifer that made the difference. read more

I'll start with the good: they have a decently nice selection. That's where it starts and ends. The prices are jacked up all the way and even worse than that, the staff is horribly rude and have no sense of customer service. I was looking to purchase a pair of glasses that I liked from them and left the store without getting the information of the pair. I called the following day kindly asking about more information specifically the name of the glasses or the model number. The woman on the phone kept asking me questions, interrogating why I needed that information. She refused to help and stated that she would not be giving me the name, number, or anything that would help me. It was completely uncalled for and 100% none of her business. I concluded they don't want you to know any information about their inventory because they don't want you to be able to look it up online and see how much they're ripping you off. I have even had problems in past, once even being kicked out because I was looking around and they said their business was for people looking to buy. I live in Flagstaff and drove down to shop for some NON- boring, NON- old lady glasses. The staff was perfect and they had great taste. Not pushy but willing to guide my pathetic, granola self to the land of cool glasses without looking like there come a pair of glasses instead of a complete person. The icing on the cake was that several months later I found that I needed a receipt that I hadn't kept to get paid back and the wonderful manager really went out of her way to research and send me the receipt.
