Just went back to pick up my glasses. They were perfect. Caroline waited on me and fixed them. My only complaint is that for $745 there should've been a glasses cleaning cloth included, instead of being told I would have to pay for it separately. Wow! Not sure why the low ratings, but I had a great experience! I made my appointment online, checked in at the front desk, filled out my paperwork, did my eye exam and was in and out in no time. I had Dr. Chauloan Lu and she walked me through and explained everything to me. She was extremely thorough and is fantastic! The employees here are also great! They explained what my insurance did and did not cover and what my out of pocket fees were. I opted for the contacts and they'll be delivered to my house next week! It just can't get any easier. I recently visited this place with my wife to get our glasses. We were really pleased of the costumer service they were extremely helpful, and had a large selection of glasses to choose from. We were helped by Rosie she was very knowledgeable, nice, very attentive and went beyond to help us choose a frame that would better fit us..she even helped us choose what transition lenses would look best with the color frame we chose. Cesar at the Westfield Sherman Oaks RadEye location (by Macy's) is amazing! So patient, friendly and passionate about making the customer feel comfortable. He constantly checked in on me while I was shopping and suggested a great pair of glasses. Customer service is truly his calling and he deserves recognition. I just moved here from San Diego and lost all my contacts in the process. I figured since I had gotten an eye exam within the last 2 weeks at a different LensCrafters location, they'd be able to help me by giving me a few trial contact lenses while I was waiting to receive my contact lens order. I walked in to explain my situation and the female employee at the front counter told me they would not be able to help me. She offered no explanation as to why, she simply turned me away without hesitation. I ended up having to drive to another LensCrafters location where I was promptly helped and given some trial contact lenses. Overall I found her demeanor and tone to be dismissive and callous. We had such a great experience at LensCrafters! The staff was incredibly accommodating and kind with my child, who was coming in for an eye exam and new glasses. The doctor and the technician were both patient and gentle, and really put my kid at ease throughout the whole exam. The optical staff was equally wonderful--friendly, knowledgeable, and so supportive in helping us find the right frames and lenses. The hinge on my glasses is loose, and when I have brought them to Lenscrafters in the past, they usually heat up my frame and bend it so it will be less of a problem. However, at this location, I was told doing so would be impossible and that my only solution would be to buy new frames. Knowing they were wrong, I took my glasses to Lenscrafters Van Nuys, who were able to heat/bend my frames to make the loose hinge much less of a problem. read more

The best, most friendly staff! I called a few days back inquiring about a replacement nose pad on a vintage pair of Gucci sunnies I found in a drawer during my Spring cleaning around the house. It's funny how you can store an item away, and later love it again. They told me I could bring them in and they'd have a look. I got around to swinging by and was immediately greeted as I walked in and taken care of that very second. They took them in the back, offered me a seat and within minutes were right back out with them totally repaired. Now I wish I hadn't tossed out some other old sunnies as I'm sure they could have repaired, oh well... I guess I was actually really over the others. This LensCrafters is located inside Westfield mall, near Macy's, second level, a stand alone store. The place isn't big, but clean, decent, we were welcomed immediately and offered to be helped. Staff here is very nice and helpful! The selection is OK, they do get newer things. I didn't find my frame yet, but this place is a good option in the Valley, pretty convenient and felt taken care of! read more

Billing Scheme - I have VSP insurance. They told me I wasn't a member of VSP and I had to pay exam fees upfront and file a claim later. This was my annual exam. Ummm... my insurance has not changed. I purchased my glasses a year ago from the location inside Macy's. The lead sales person need to quit, her attitude was less than par. They should reopen the location downstairs inside Macy's. I made a same day appointment with Dr Hsieh. He is a knowledgeable and friendly optometrist. He did my eye exam and he's very thorough! I would definitely recommend him! They wouldn't take my insurance though so I had to pay out of pocket and deal with getting reimbursed which isn't Lenscrafters fault. read more

Terrible. I usually buy all of my glasses from Lenscrafters and have not had an issue until I went to this location. I just wanted some new frames but was told because my prescription was expired that I had to also buy an exam from them. Ok, fine. I have their exam, the new glasses come in, they are junk. Like looking at a funhouse mirror, I can't see at all. The incredibly rude employee had the nerve to accuse me of lying during my exam. To what end? Now I have no new glasses, no new prescription, and I have to fight them to get my money back. Don't waste your time and money. Go someplace else. read more

I saw a Lenscrafters ad that advertised "50% OFF KIDS EYEGLASSES EVERY DAY" and since I promised my granddaughter new glasses for her birthday we were there on a Saturday for her to see if there was anything that she liked. The selection was not great, but she chose a pair of Ray-Ban sunglasses and another frame. Our plan was to then bring them to her ophthalmologist to have her prescription put in. While we were trying the glasses on, we were approached by staff to see if we had any questions. The only question I asked - and I questioned 2 separate staffers - "So, is this 50% off Kids Eyeglasses for one pair, and the discount comes off the second pair?" No, no! It's 50% off each pair of kids glasses. We chose 2 pair and when I went to pay for them, I was told that it's only 50% off if you have the eye exam and they fill the prescription. Horrible customer service. I purchased 2 pairs of prescription glasses within a month and spend nearly 1000 dollars. One of the pairs had a defect and was under 30 day of money back guarantee. I tried to have them repair the defected screw , but I was told by the manager to go somewhere else to get it repaired because they did not have the means to fix them there. After I got it repaired and spend $25 dollars at the place she sent me , they did not want to credit me or reimburse me for the cost of the repair on their defective frames. read more

First time here, I came after one of my coworker's recommended and I am super happy I followed her recommendation. I was assisted by Jasmine at the counter, she was very helpful and kind. She even managed to get me an eye exam even though I did not have an appointment (I'd suggest you make one though). Dr Chorbadjan was amazing - I think I never had such a complete and accurate eye exam; you can tell she really loves her job. She is very knowledgable and patient and I loved that she explained me step by step what she was doing and her findings. I have a great health insurance, so I did the eye exam and got a new pair of glasses for a ridiculous amount! Can't wait to pick up my new glasses next week. They have an excellent choice of Ray Ban glasses (my top favorite). read more

Let me start off by saying I got a sense from my first visit to LensCrafters that I should wait for the new year and go somewhere to get a prescription that's more precise. I found out I have to wait one full year with my insurance to get a new pair of glasses. That led me to revisit the LensCrafters. A few months after getting my glasses I went in to exchange my glasses for anti-reflective. I explained that I would like them checked because they may not have been upgraded in error. I picked those up and have found them to not be anti-reflective. I called and was told there is a premium version that eliminates it completely however NOBODY EVER ONCE thought to even elude to that fact when they were accepting my money. This got me more upset as I was not upset when I called. I simply wanted to problem resolved to be told I will likely have to pay more to resolve. I feel and felt very deceived. They seem to have underhand business practices. And are definitely not upfront. read more

He was patient and would provide his honest opinion which I totally appreciated. No over selling or upselling. The doctor was excellent. Their attention AND detail to sanitizing, adhering to how many allowed in the store was on point. I felt safe and did not sense cross contamination because of the measures that they had in place. During a day of shopping at the mall I waited for my mom to make a purchase at a nearby store and I went in to Lens Crafters just to see what they had, - my son had broken his glasses and was in need of a new pair but I had no intention of buying glasses since my son wasn't even with me. As soon I walked in I was immediately greeted, they were super friendly and helpful. They got my son an appointment to see the doctor that same day and told me how much it would all be even before the appointment. at the time of the appointment the Doctor was great really sweet and great with children. We picked the glasses we wanted and then they started making them then and there. Yes I had my glasses in about two hours no going home and coming back a few days or weeks later to get them 2 HOURS is all it took! and on top of that I got a great deal and great service!
