What a mess this place is. Had my exam with Jacob (who was lovely) and then proceeded to wait 35 minutes for the Doctor who walked by me multiple times throughout the 35 minutes, and didn't greet or acknowledge my presence whatsoever. Additionally, someone who arrived after me was seen first and again, no acknowledgement of my presence whatsoever. It was me and one other patient in the entire store. Yesterday, my boyfriend and I visited the Sherman Oaks LensCrafters, where I've been a loyal customer for years, purchasing both prescription glasses and sunglasses. The day prior, my boyfriend had been given contacts because he had had a prior eye exam there, but unfortunately, they were the wrong prescription--nearsighted instead of farsighted and he just wanted to exchange them. When he returned to the store today to address the issue, a very rude team leader named Abbey confiscated the contacts, claiming it was against policy to provide them that way, and refused to return them. My boyfriend explained that the contacts were his property, but they still wouldn't budge. At that point, he called me, and I could hear the entire conversation over the phone. I went inside to understand what was happening and insisted that they return the contacts, as it was unacceptable to confiscate them. Abby directed Jessica to go get the contacts but with an attitude of rudeness and arrogance that was shocking. We've never experienced such poor customer service at this location before. The employee, Abby, who was a "team leader" demonstrated neither kindness nor professionalism. After several positive experiences at this store, we were truly disappointed by this incident. With service like this and "team leaders" who lack basic customer service skills, we won't be returning. You've lost two loyal customers. read more

Although all of the people I worked with were pleasant and helpful, I will never do business with the store again. I brought in a pair of glasses I had bought elsewhere to have progressive lenses with a prism put in. The distance portion was wrong, but the lenses were replaced with no difficulty. They're perfect. I bought a pair of frames from this store and ordered progressive, transitional lenses with prisms. The right lens is fine. The left one constantly develops 3 vertical lines in the center of the lens that obscures my vision. They seem to think that either that's caused by smudges or my eyelashes. I don't wear makeup and none of my other glasses have this problem. I wanted to have that lens replaced since the other 3 lenses they made are fine. This lens is clearly defective. They wanted $25. Not a major sum, but why should anyone have to pay for damaged goods? I will be telling everyone I know to go elsewhere for their vision needs. read more

I bought a pair of somewhat expensive glasses, and then weeks later they started to come apart. I went in, expecting some assistance, but was told, "you didn't buy the coverage, I can't help you," and then the employee pushed the glasses back towards me and went about her business. Really? I wasn't asking for a new pair, just for some help, even if I had to pay. Nope, was the answer. I then reached out to their customer support, and got nothing. I bought two pairs of glasses over there. The prescription seemed correct and my regular classes worked out really well. However, the sunglasses are making me dizzy. I noticed that right away but the support employee told me at the time that "it's stigmatism and you'll get used to it". I shouldn't have listened: I tried for a while and it didn't get better. When I finally returned to Lenscrafters in Sherman Oaks to exchange the lenses they told me "it's too late - it's been more than 30 days - there is nothing we can do". They are very Proffesional. A woman by the name of Maritza I think, she helped me today, she was awesome. I hope I got her name right. There are reviews that are negative for them. But, please don't take them by word. You have to understand their scenario, if they are short staffed. As a customer you have to make sure you get their on time, leave plenty of room for any delays. Them being busy or you not having time as a customer is your problem, not the people who work there. Give them patience, be nice understand what they are going through. A Sunday - Store was empty. I pick out the sunglasses I wanted to buy. No one needed to help me. I then asked if I could buy prescription lenses. All in probably $600. The sales person told me to have a seat, then proceeded to work on admin duties at register. I waited too long, but finally just got up and told her I would come by when they are less busy (lol), she said "fine" and let me just walk out. Ordered replacement lenses for reading glasses over the phone from prior prescription one year old. They charged $352.00 just for lenses. Two weeks later went to pick up glasses and they were for computer lenses not reading. Lenses for reading glasses were then re-ordered from previous prescription. Picked up new reading glasses but they weren't transitional as in prior prescription. I was told this was a miscommunication several times by the manager. Not sure how this is a miscommunication as if it is my fault. They had the prescription on their computer in front of them. In my view, this was repeated incompetence. What happened to this location? It used to be solid, always had good experiences here! My prescription sunglasses which I had done here had an issue: lenses were coming out of their frames so I stopped by in Friday since I was in the area to see if they can do something about it. They told me it'd be done in an hour, so I thought that's good since I just walked in and I looked around at frames to see if they have anything new for a new pair later this year. The selection was pretty tired and prices kinda high, so we left and got back after one hour. My glasses were not done. I had the same issue and it was solved fast, on the spot before here. We asked when they'd be done and we got: "we don't know, the lab guy is on his lunch break". Ok? Do you know when he'll be back? Nope! Well, why did they tell me it'd be done in an hour then? What I supposed to do? I wasted an hour and now what? We complained and they mouthed back to us that this is a free fix (aware of that, that's their policy and they could have done a better job with my sunglasses in the first place if we need to get ugly!), so basically put up or shut up! I have never seen these ladies before here, they were rude, unprofessional, disrespectful toward old time customers and their time! Maybe be more straight forward from the beginning so I can figure out if it's OK for me to wait or not! Like my time doesn't matter! Also, what's up with stores and restaurants lately that they give you too many excuses and tell you too many details from their behind the scenes when they can't manage a situation? I went in for an adjustment on my prescription sunglasses. Before I could consent to 'risk that glasses may break', the employee 'Tom' began confidently adjusting my glasses. I asked him to wait a minute while I check my purchase receipt and warranty and he assured me 'don't worry, nothing will happen'. Two minutes later, he tells me he broke my glasses and his solution is for me to purchase another pair out of pocket. I never even received an apology. The store manager Jennifer said 'yeah. This hapoens often' offered 50% off of a new pair, of course to make more sales. Even after this discount, I found it cheaper to purchase these glasses elsewhere. Neither Tom or Jennifer were sympathetic to my situation and it almost feels like this was their plan to break my glasses so that they could make me purchase another pair thru them. Seems very manipulative and fraudulent. I am very unhappy about this stores customer service and the way they handled my situation. I would like a senior supervisor to contact me to resolve this situation as I am very unhappy. I have been a client of LensCrafters for many years. Omg, I never write reviews. But here it goes I came in Jan 2023. Ordered glasses The order was delayed. Feb 1st, 2023, glasses are ready I begged for a bill credit she tried to guilt trip me on how it wasn't their fault. Ok? But I still waiting a month. I notice right I cannot see with these glasses they told me to get used to them. Since I use contacts. I'm Iike No really I CANT SEE. Come back a week later new lady is nice. Different doc makes excuses for the doc that I told I couldn't see to begin with. Ok fine. Cool. Not a mistake nor a misunderstanding. But it's okay everyone's respectful we're all ladies. They make me a new pair. And I also found out that they were using a prescription from 2020. By Accident anyways. They call me again there's been a delay cause the lab messed up my order it's been two months??? I think I am fully entitled to a full refund and more to this point. This is crazy!!!! I ordered glasses the first week of January. It's March 5th???? I hope someone can read this and really help me. If you want glasses fast I would never come here again. About three months after I purchased Polo Havana eyeglasses at this location, one of my screws popped out and could not be located. We went back to the store and the repair person did not have the correct screw, and did not even have a way for me to order it. He did not even know the order number. He put in an alternate screw and I left with a wonky fix. Two different screws.. Did a lot of research and discovered Luxottica owns LC, along with other eye places. Contacted them, back and forth, no response, yada yada yada, and finally I was able to order two matching screws for my new glasses, for $2.50. Except s/h was over $8. Warranty was worthless in this case as it states they can replace items with whatever they want--does not have to be Polo. Thanks for nothing LensCrafters/Luxottica. I used to get glasses here every year for the past 6 years. It has gotten worse and worse and today is the last time i chose this facility and doctors for my eyewear needs. I booked an appointment and had to wait for more than an hour to actually see the doctor for a simple eyesight check. Front desk was not helpful, as I sit outside the doctors' door and hear her chat and laugh with someone. It is ridiculous how bad the timetables are ran here. read more

The Rudest award goes to RUBY! Went in today with my BF to get his annual eye exam, and this is the first time we encountered Ruby. She was so condescending and rude. Something was wrong with their transaction terminal, as it was not reading my FSA card as credit card, we tried it 5 times and she kept insisting that we did not do it correctly. It worked the last time was because I entered the pin. She then proceed to ask us if we plan on getting new frames, we weren't so we declined. When we mentioned that we do need to update these glasses with new prescription, she said "well I asked you and you said NO"- that was not what she asked! As my BF is on my healthcare insurance, she refused to give him the quote. Overall, I cannot wait to get out of this place. Everyone is miserable. read more

Been a bit careless with my glasses lately and have had to swing by LensCrafters a couple of times to fix loose lenses. Each time they were extremely accommodating. Was there today and Miles took care of the problem and even made sure that other lens was secured. I asked what I owed and he said, "absolutely nothing, happy to help." I used to love this office. The doctors and staff are really nice. However, they sold me contacts that promised a large rebate and wouldn't return a call when I needed assistance, so a year later, I don't have the money back. The glasses that I got last year give me terrible headaches, and they blew me off about exchanging them until it was too late. And today I went in for my annual exam, but had to reschedule because Anais Chorbadjian is not vaccinated. When I doctor won't use the ONE line of defense to protect themselves & others from a deadly virus responsible for a worldwide pandemic, we have issues. Recently I accidentally broke my prescription glasses. I started calling around to see who did glasses repair in todays day in age. LensCrafters said they did, & I headed to the Sherman Oaks location. The employee I spoke with was not only super friendly, but was able to fix them right away. They just needed a new screw, probably could have done that my self. That said - she fixed them, and tightened both sides, free of charge!!! I feel like it's rare to find a business that does anything complimentary, so this was a nice surprise. read more
