When I went in I stood there basically ignored for a while before someone actually spoke to me. The eye exam was nice and the doctor was very friendly and helpful. Had the worst experience!! My 1st visit was for an eye exam and prescription. Different staff and different Doctor. The staff were friendly, patient and helpful and the Doctor (Dr Daniel Rosen) was the same. I had to reschedule another contact lens fitting in 3 days because i wanted to try the monthly contact lens instead of my usual 2 weeks. At no point that me and my wife were asked to wear a mask. That was a pleasant day. 3 days after, Different doctor. Her name was Lizette De Ramos. She asked me to wear a mask and i mentioned it to her that last Saturday i wasn't asked to wear a mask. During the checkup / refitting, she had this negative vibe coupled with a condescending tone. A really bad attitude. Very unprofessional. I had just put on the contact lens in both my eyes and had to let my eyes adjust for a few minutes and shes makes this comment: "You seemed to be lost. Do you have questions?" Several times she would start her statements "like i said.." All for what? Not wearing a mask? I saw 2 people leaving her office not wearing a mask. Fire her ass! By the way, a few customers complained about her attitude as well. read more

I called to see if they had a specific contact in my prescription. Darian (I believe was her name). She confirmed they had it in stock. When I arrived 20 minutes later they said they did not have it. When I said to them "but you confirmed you have it?!" They said well it must have sold out then. What was extra upsetting is their lack of apology and their unwillingness to sell me another brand just so I had until they came in. Don't go here. They are incompetent and inconsiderate to boot. read more

Still as good as it gets... the manager, Kerry, and her colleagues (Anthony!) went above and beyond when I had a difficult time picking up my contacts from another location including calling every regional manager and store manager they could think of. They went as far as to send me an apology card when the service at the other location failed so miserably. My husband and I will continue going to this location no matter how far out of the way it is. I will never forget how dedicated they were to helping me. read more

Tried to order contacts from this place. They charged my card and never sent me my contacts. THEN after a really really long time, I finally got to talk to a manager. The people were all really nice but I mean c'mon. This place took 3 months to give a refund. And honestly I was really patient with them. I had to call them to follow up all the time. They never could follow up with me but maybe 2 times? Sucked because I really like the doctor. But this lack of attention and disregard with people's health and well being is scary. Stay away. Dr. Husain was wonderful! I had many questions for her regarding my vision, and she was so thorough and patient with me, and answered them all. We discussed all of my eyeglass options, and I felt extremely well taken care of. Also, the optical store staff was wonderful as well! I felt incredibly safe by all of the protections they place on keeping the glasses frames clean and sterile, and both of the ladies in the office were so friendly! I've been coming here for years, the last time I was here things went well enough(even though my sunglasses came back with purple lenses) but today I rushed over to pick up my eye and sun glasses because I had lost my current pair and was miserable without them. As soon I seen the sunglasses I immediately noticed they were the wrong color frames, when I mentioned this the employee insisted they were the correct ones. I came in multiple times before I made a decision on the frames and know 100% that they were supposed to be gloss black not matte grey! To top it off the prescription on both the eye glasses and sun glasses was wrong. To say I'm disappointed is an understatement, me and my family who all wear eye glasses will never be returning here. read more

The support staff are awesome, they have gone out of there way to simplify things and have always resolved issues in the finest manner. I called on a Wednesday afternoon, feeling a little desperate as I nervously wore my last pair of contacts and was way past due for a new prescription. An hour later, I was talking to the optometrist, getting the earth-shattering news that I had scars on both my eyes from ulcers that had gone by unattended. Thankfully, I'm a survivor and my life would go on as long as I stopped wearing my contacts past their expiration and maybe stopped sticking my dirty ass hands in my eyes. SOLID. Went over to talk to Liz and Jeremy about glasses and got a decent deal on a package... they laughed at all my jokes and were very patient with me as I tried on half the frames in the store. I went home about $300 poorer but I received my glasses about a week later (even with a holiday weekend in between) and am super happy with my Twill & Tweed (Target brand) frames as well as my 6-month supply of contacts. All in all, I know I'm going to save money now that I don't have to buy contacts if I don't want to, my frames are super cute and really help toward my goal of being a nerdy little white girl, too bad they can't help me be less ghetto. I love Target and all the stuff they have...this one has an optical and optometrist inside. It's kinda hidden though...next to pharmacy on the first floor. They have cute frames for people like me who need everything to be budget-friendly. Ray Bans!!! I got those gold aviator ones that don't cost an arm and a leg. Parking is easy if you bee-line for the 2nd or 3rd floor. Don't even try to park on the first floor or you'll be stressed. There's an eye doctor next door that's available for a quick eye exam if you need one. read more

I called to inquire the hours and was told that they close at 6pm(on Sundays). I lost a screw in my glasses and really needed to get them fixed. I went in around 4pm and though there were people there, I was helped immediately. The young lady (sorry I didn't get her name) fixed my glasses in a FLASH! I was there no more than 3 minutes...I even tried on a couple of Ray Ban sunglasses while I waited. They look like new!! It was NO CHARGE for the service!! Thanks again! Today was my first experience with Target Optical on Sepulveda in Van Nuys. I was thrilled when I found out Target was in-network on my insurance plan. I arrived a half hour early to my appointment, excited to look for my new frames before the eye exam. The sales associate said to come over and check in. While doing my paperwork, I asked how much my insurance would cover and what my out of pocket would be. She said "we are not there yet". I wanted to know before I did the rest of the paperwork, so I asked again. The young lady was so unprofessional and rude, by the time my question was answered, I knew there was no way I would give my businesses to a place that employed someone so disrespectful. This place was good in the past. Now they have different workers and it's bad. No greet, no attentiveness, no customer care/service. Had three workers and still wasn't properly helped. This place (different company than Target) needs some help and more training. Was truly a disappointing experience. I will not be back. Will take my business elsewhere. I've never had a more frustrating experience trying to get glasses! The staff was nice, but very annoying. I went in saying that I want new glasses because i broke my old pair. I wrote that down on the paper saying that's my reason for coming in. When I'm with the optometrist, she asks me if I want contacts. I tell her no, I only want glasses. She tells me that the contact exam will be $55, and I tell her that I'm not interested, I only want glasses. She proceeds to give me an exam, which seemed like a routine exam. At the end, I go and pay, and they said that she gave me the contact lens exam! I don't get what made her think that I want a contact lens exam, but I had to pay it because she already did the exam. I go back like 3 days later to pay for my glasses, and I get asked some more if I'm sure that I don't want contacts. I tell them that I'm sure, so they say it will take a week to 10 days to get my glasses and that they would call me. I waited a week and called, and they said my glasses wouldn't be ready for probably another three or four days because of problems in the lab. I called three days later and they said they'd see and that they'd call me later in the day. No one called me. The next day, I waited until late in the day, still no call. I go over there before the store closes, and guess what? They had my glasses! So I'm waiting for the girl to get my glasses, and while I'm waiting, another girl asks me FOUR TIMES in the course of TEN MINUTES if I wanted contacts! VERY ANNOYING! THEN, I leave and put on my glasses. WORST PRESCRIPTION EVER! I can't read the street signs and my old prescription is way better. It's been a week since I've got the glasses and I still can't see the signs and my other glasses is still better. Worst experience ever! Would NOT recommend unless you want to get tricked out of your money and constantly berated as to whether or not you want contacts. read more

Braved the rainy day today to finally get a new pair of glasses I've been needing. I was greeted by two lovely ladies, one of whom, Wanda, very nice, professional and knowledgeable helped me pick the perfect frame for my glasses. I was out of there in less than 20 minutes and saved $100 on the special they're running in addition to the Redcard discount. From over $500, my glasses went down to less than $400. At least once a day for the last two weeks I think to myself, "I could seriously drive over to Target right now and hug Dr. De Ramos." I've been less than impressed by my contact lens prescription (from other doctors) for the last four years, and the one from the last year was so bad I wouldn't even wear them. I've been in uncomfortable lenses that didn't even provide me with clear vision. It was so bad that I was on the point of shelling out for lasik, just to get out of my glasses. I decided to try one more eye doctor and contact prescription, and I'm so glad I did! I expressed all of my frustrations about my previous contacts to Dr. De Ramos and she gave me a different brand with a new prescription. I hadn't been able to keep my previous lenses in for more than a few hours without them getting itchy and dry, gluing themselves to my eyeballs. Since they were astigmatism lenses, that meant they wouldn't rotate correctly and my vision was not correct. I was able to wear my new lenses all day since I left the office with them and my vision is clearer than it has been in years. Dr. De Ramos even walked me over the eye care aisle of the store and recommended an over the counter eye drop for my itchy eye allergies. My lenses needed to be ordered, but the optician said I could have them shipped to my house for free. They arrived in about three days, and I didn't have to go back to pick them up. I didn't get new glasses at the time of my visit, but my contact prescription is so clear I think I'd like to get glasses from her prescription too. It was so refreshing to visit a medical provider in Los Angeles that didn't feel like a used car dealership. read more
