Stopped in here for lunch when I was nearby in the city. I was looking for something healthy. They offer lots of chicken options so I decided on grilled chicken with 3 sides. They didn't have enough sides for the 3...seriously...so I had to load up on broccoli. They also had mac and cheese which was too watery for me. Glad I was able to get the NY style no frills service (sarcasm). Too high priced for what they offer. Food is average...chicken was dry. For breakfast, my favorite is sausage, egg, and cheese. The sausage definitely tastes better than other breakfast places I've tried it around the area. Sometimes I ask for ketchup and black pepper in the sandwich but they forget to put it in. I don't mind doing it myself though unless I am in a hurry and having it on the go. For lunch, I get a sandwiches and the occasional order of fries! My favorites is the Italian, cod fish filet, and buffalo chicken sandwiches. It's always fresh and neatly prepared. All sandwiches are $9.49 which is not too bad. It's slightly pricy but I'd rather get a sandwich from Lenwich than subways next door. I know people who love the Emma's combo, so give that a try too it you like cold cut sandwiches. A chain sandwich spot but they definitely take making sandwiches serious. Always fresh and on point! BUYER BEWARE...when you order 20% is automatically added to your order. How can you tip when you pick up your own order. If you take off the tip then imagine what happens. I went to pick up my food which should have already been ready and it wasn't. Many people came after me ordered and got their food. Mind you I ordered 30 minutes prior to leaving to pick up my order. Great sandwich ironically next door to a Subways. They have a variety of sandwiches and salads that you can choose from. They have an unconventional set up where you order your food in the back corner of the shop and you pay/pick up on the other side. I am overjoyed that the Lenny's on 68th delivers to the apartment I stay. The best omelet I have had in this area by far at this price level. Burger Heaven is great for burgers and I go there because it is convenient and pretty and everyone knows me but the omelets are absolutely flat as a pancake. The potatoes are okay but not great. Wrap 'n Run and Bread Factory are both better than Burger Heaven for breakfast omelets--also cheaper--but Lenny's puts them all to shame at this price point. I just had an omelet delivered: spinach, mushroom, tomato and cheddar. It's fluffy and fresh and it came in about 15 minutes. The potatoes are not all mushed together (home fries) and not too overdone which makes them healthier of course. I also tried the chicken soup: 3.50 for the large and I think they delivered the small but I don't care. It's very light. Just clear broth with fresh and not mushy carrots and celery with chicken. I will never order breakfast from Burger Heaven for delivery. I will go if I want to sit and write or read. The coffee is horrific at BH but they make a decent poached egg plate with toast. I have not had any problems with service, a frequent gripe of other viewers. Maybe they are nicer to you if you are a regular but I have seen people who are clearly tourists treated well. Even WITH the soup, the tab was 11.93. Of course, living in a pre-WWI walkup I always tip a lot but even still, this was a deal. I ordered a build-your-own sandwich for delivery today. I was getting really excited about the sandwich I was building....avocado, roasted red pepper, hummus, sprouts, and vinaigrette. Adds up to $6.75....ouch. I'm a grad student. I can't pay $7 for a sandwich every day. But, whatevs, I need to get my lunch soon because I gots experiments to run! So I try to checkout (I'm ordering online) and there's an $8 minimum, and $1 delivery fee. :-( Sad, sad face. There aren't any other ingredients I would like to add to my sandwich....to do so would RUIN the piece of ART I have designed. So I opted for a $2 black and white cookie. Total came to about $12.50....yikes! The sandwich came in about 20 min....I frowned when I saw how small my million dollar sandwich was. BUT........IT WAS SO GOOD!!! H&H Everything Bagel Lightly Toasted with Vegetable Cream Cheese Best bagel ever. It was perfectly chewy with just enough crust. The 'everything' part of it added tons of flavor and paired with he vegetable cream cheese it was perfectly balanced. The different textures: creaminess and crunchiness of the cream cheese with the freshly chopped vegetables, the chewiness and crispiness of the bagel, all complemented each other. It was also the perfect portion size, not too big and not too small. It was a very satisfying breakfast. It's not swimming in a milky pool of cheap mayo (ahem, Subway). It's really light and refreshing. They pack in the veggies and thinly slice the cucumbers so it's a perfect bite each time. The marbled rye was on point. For some reason, I feel like the marbling of brown & white would give it a flavor contrast of sweet and sour, but it's just an illusion. It's just a pure rye flavor, throughout. I devoured everything. Wait, inhaled like Kobayashi. As I was cleaning myself up and bundling up to leave (gahh, these harsh NY winters), the girl in front of me asked what I had just had. Told her... tuna & it was delicious, get it. Went to Lenny's today for lunch and I was not disappointed. I was BLOWN AWAY by the endless options of sandwiches, salads, sides, and hot food. I ended up ordering the BUffalo Chicken Sandwich (I'm a sucker for buffalo chicken) and it was pretty good. I had it on a roll, with lettuce, and the chicken. It would be a little better if it came with cheese and tomato, but that's just me. There is indoor seating as well as tables set up outside in front of the store. This Lenwich has been really rotten over my past few encounters. When I first moved to New York last year, Lenwich was a really affordable, refreshing option compared to the Subways, McDonalds, and Chipotles in the area. The service was fast and I loved that you could get a sandwich with freshly sliced cold cuts. A while back I found a hair in my sandwich, so I took a break. So after a few months I decided to return. The first time being on Wednesday morning for a post-work bagel. I was starving and I pretty much stopped here for a bagel because I didn't have cash to buy one from a food truck. A whole wheat bagel with scallion cream cheese was $3.20. They were so busy that it took me about 15 minutes to get the bagel which was cold and hard. I was really disappointed. Because I clearly didn't learn my lesson, I came back in the evening for a pre-work sandwich. Since they close at 7 and I get to work close to 7, I ordered online around 6:40 (something I had been doing for months in the fall and winter). When I got there at 6:55, there was no sandwich. The cashier blankly stared at me and said, "We couldn't call you because we don't have anymore heros and now we're closed." No follow-up, just pretty, "Whatever." about it. In such a hungry state I was pretty emotional. I had to be at work in 15 minutes and I couldn't think of anywhere else to get food. I also prepaid, so I was thinking, "No sandwich? That's it?!" My mother was recovery from surgery and a staff member of the Atrium (H.S.S.) highly recommend this establishment. On Valentine's Day February 14, 2018. I arrived around 1pm. I was helped by a young man at the order station. He gave great descriptions of my three inquiries. He was honest in telling me he never had the "Mikey" steak sandwich. I was intrigued by his great descriptions of other sandwiches. This is hospitality at its best! I added a side of fries fried hard (extra crispy). I completed the cash out with the only black girl on the counter. She was short with braids under her cap. I did not get her name. I wanted to thank her. She communicated to me that the fries I added on were being fried as I requested. I observed her follow up on my order. She smiled, she exhibited a quality service to me and please acknowledge her on my behalf. Articulate, professional, friendly, genuine and fast. The Mikey sandwich had beautiful layered build as pictured. The zesty shreds of lettuce, and hearty slices of tomato were fresh. The brioche bum came lightly toasted and melted in my mouth. The steak was juicy and flavorful with the right blend/ shake of seasoning. My fries were smoking hot and extra crispy as I requested. The portion size was more then I expected and I was truly so satisfied , I could not finish eating all. Kudos to your sandwich artists and hot food handlers. After satisfying my burger/steak fix, I was off to have an ice cold beer to await the next visiting hour at the hospital. Thank you for a wonderful experience. This place needs some costumer service...I like their shop on west side so I like their sandwiches but every time I go to this store (68&1st) the people who take orders are just angry, rude, give you somethings else because they don't pay attention what so ever....
