I was having A/C issues, and they quickly diagnosed and repaired the A/C backlights and the coupler--something other shops couldn't figure out or tried to overcomplicate. The mechanic was honest, professional, and very knowledgeable, explained the problem clearly, and didn't try to upsell unnecessary work. The repair was done right the first time, the A/C works perfectly now, and the pricing was fair. This Review is Based on my experience twice. First and Foremost let me just say That Mayra is very humble and honest and gives you updates on your car to make sure they don't just move forward with anything you don't want to pay or have fix. Gracefully I've been blessed to not have major things out of my pocket due to my personal neglect. I was an accident not too long ago and I got my car back in like 5days and they did amazing work. $75 for the Diagnostic Test Even though Auto Zone did one -they still need to theirs Now my sensor lights to my driver side mirror was ordered wrong that I will have to say -human error but i never went back nor did I pay the difference to get it fixed to the senior light . The insurance covered the wreck and since then my car is fine . Today I'm here for fuel injector to either be replaced or cleaned.still waiting.. I guess for some it's a hit or a miss. You have to communicate.let them know your needs as to what you need on your car done and see what they can do for you. If your engine light is on let them know what you want replace and what not and have them show you what is being replaced. If you come back leaving after a week or two go back and have them do a free scan since the engine light is back on it can be that it's the same thing or maybe something different. The girls. Came here on a recomendation never again I came in for a simple brake job my truck was due for a change I regret coming here my truck brakes make so much noise due to wrong installation also they don't clean or remove any of the callipers or other parts to install proper also no brake grease now I'm stuck with bad ahitty installed brakes grinding my rotars and ruined my expensive brakes I payed for them to install they don't cover their work if u bring in your own parts which I didn't know until I had to pay very scummy of them not to mention before agreeing to work read more

I waited a couple of months before writing this review. All I can say is I took my car here for a year for the same problem and I'm still experiencing the same initial car troubles. This establishment isn't good with communication or assessing customer service issues. Instead of complaining and making a scene I just decided not to comeback. However, the comment about if you're black then you won't receive good service is true. I hate it to say it because it's sad. They charged me for work they had not fixed again. I had to call and ask after five days if my car was ready and no one notified me of payment. The siblings were literally talking about it in front of me and confirmed no one followed up with me. It's sad because I really wanted to like this place. When I asked for all my previous paperwork it was like pulling teeth to get it. I paid you over a thousand dollars dude. We're in the middle of a pandemic and I've lost my job three times. The least you could do is give me my paperwork. And after all of that the window back passenger side stopped rolling up again. My coolant is leaking so I spent and lost hard earned money. I just won't support my community next time. I hope you guys do better. I wish your business well read more

Ok so let me say you need to have time, follow up on the repair. If you dont get the answer your looking for over the phone go down in person and ask to talk to your mechanic. I have taken 3 Vehicles into THOMAS. THOMAS IS A GOOD GUY. You just need to talk with him. He is Very Busy trying to repair EVERYTHING. You need to ask if they have time and ask how long it might be. Follow up is KEY. I DONT KNOW HOW A CAR IS LEFT FOR 10 DAYS? IVE HAD NOTHING BUT GOOD SERVICE. I am so disappointed with the recent service we received at Peters. We were charged for new parts and given non working used parts, our car was covered in paint over spray, and the work ended up costing more than twice the original quoted price. We have been going to Peter for years and suddenly he has begun cutting corners and providing poor service. In addition to the fact the our fairly new 2014 Nissan is now WORSE than when we took it in, our repeated calls to Peter have gone acknowledged. I set up an appointment last week to get my jeep checked, I was told to be there early around 8am Saturday only to wait 45 minutes where the mechanic never showed. UPDATE***: they responded to my yelp review and pretty much said the same thing in a "professional manner" ... they're a joke. They charged me a "fraction of the price"?? They meant to say the full price of the tow and diagnostic... this place is a joke ... the paperwork being "company property" doesn't excuse the BIG ass lady to come out of the office as if she was going to fight me over paperwork!! Professionalism is a joke here!!! Again, their response is a joke... and the place is a joke. Rude ass people ... If I could give ZERO stars I would! This place is a joke!!! So my car doesn't start, they charge me $45 dollars for a tow across the street. This stupid lady calls me (you'll see why I call her stupid)... and tells me the alternator for my car is $900. I tell her "you're crazy, I can get it cheaper at autozone.. let me call them." She asks "do you want us to start on your car?" I responded "I'll call you back." The shop took it upon themselves to take my alternator out of my car without my permission. I call them back and tell them that I'm on my way to the shop to pick up my car. They tell me that the alternator is out and that they won't put it back in...Uhm... why the hell not?? You took it out and I don't know why especially since I never authorized any work to be done on my car...and now you want to charge me to put it back where you found it?? No... so I get there and the guy tells me that he can do the labor for $250.... instead of $300. I tell him it's okay I can found it cheaper somewhere else. He then says $150.. Uhm... no I have a friend of a friend who can do it for $80 in labor. So the guy says he can match it. Why in the hell would I leave my car when you just tried to charge me extra and then kept changing the price and also the stupid lady on the phone is the reason we're in this mess. Anyways, fast forward to them putting my car back together ... I go to checkout .. This lady gives me my paperwork that has information like "customer changed mind on repairs towards her car"... Uhm no stupid witch .. I never approved any repairs on my car!!! So I ask for a new form with the CORRECT information. She crosses it out and underneath it says "customer will bring in alternator - for labor only"... again!! Incorrect !!! So I ask for a NEW FORM. This other lady chimes in "were just trying to help you. We don't need your attitude" Uhm... it's not attitude honey... I'm annoyed and tired. I've wasted an hour and half because these incompetent people don't know how to f**king communicate!!! So I ask to see the previous form... which I fold bc it has all my information in it. This BIG lady steps out of the office as if she's going to square up... and asks for the paper ... I look at her like are you serious??? She states "I can give you a copy" .. So I take a picture and give it back to her. She's like "well you took a picture ... you don't need a copy"... oh my goodness!! I'm beyond baffled at this place. These STUPID & INCOMPETENT childish ass GIRLS are so unprofessional. DO NOT COME TO THIS BODY SHOP!! They over charge and have girls who are unprofessional and incompetent... If I can give ZERO stars I would. Worst mechanic shop that I have gone to. I got charged a service fee of $75 and they couldn't even figure out the diagnostic but only give me recommendations of what can be fixed then figure out what the issue is after. Tell me how that makes sense. Isn't the purpose of paying the $75 service fee to check what the issue is? As the professional, it's your job to find the problem and have a solution to fix the problem. Both females who answer the phones have NO business answering the lines. They don't know what they're talking about, don't sound educated and have the worst customer service ever. Directly writing about the female with glasses, who was rolling her eyes when I asked for an explanation as to why she gave me completely different information on the phone as opposed to what the mechanic stated & when I asked to get transferred to a mechanic- I get the run around. I know we're living in hard times but if you think it's okay to swindle people it's going to bite you back & your own personal finances will run through like water. Karma isn't pretty and this shop will NOT continue to stay open if you're doing business the wrong way. This is my second time bringing my car in but I gave the benefit of the doubt that they would do a better job this time around and they proved me wrong AGAIN. If I could give negative stars I would. This shop is full of con artists. My family put their money together to surprise me with a car so that I could get back and forth to work and have necessary transportation for my kid. THOMAS said they replaced the transmission just before they purchased it. It hasn't even been three months and within the first couple of weeks I had to replace a fuel pump, the keys(the ones given weren't working), and the battery. I also came complaining about the acceleration and was sent home saying nothin was wrong with the car. Now Thomas is saying we have to replace the transmission. On top of everything, he charged my mom TRIPLE the amount that the car is worth! He definitely took advantage of two older women who trusted him. And Peter the owner is refusing to rectify the situation. Please do not waste your time nor money with this shop. They will take you for all you have and give you the run around while they do it. read more

Be careful with this place. They overcharge and mess with the odometer. My husband took his truck in a few months ago to get work done on the motor. Someone there messed with the locked toolbox. No tools were on there but the lock had to be replaced because it was jammed. Also, they have a 12,000 mile warranty. All of a sudden and I'm this pandemic the truck went up 24,000 miles! The truck was not been driven for 1 month! They played with the odometer to speed up the miles put in to the truck. Because no way can the truck be up 24,000 miles in 5 months. read more

Took my car in on Saturday June 13 for a quick inspection of my A/C hot and cold air blend door actuator and a check engine light. Told me he was getting a lot of codes on the check engine light and that the hot and cold blend door actuator for the A/C was discontinued and was having a hard time finding one. Today is June 22 almost 10 days later and my car is still setting there taken apart. They promised to call me today and no one called me. I'm going there tomorrow to get my car and take it somewhere else. This is way to long to keep my car and they still can't give me a price for the repairs. Once I take my car somewhere else I'll let you know how much faster the new place fix it and get me a price. Can't. comment yet on there repair service cause they ain't done nothing in the past 9 days. Today is July 31 and I have an update on Peters Auto Repair. When they had my car back in June they said I had a bad thermostat and asked to replace it. I said sure go ahead. The bill showed they put a new thermostat in and also charged me $39.99 for new coolant. No problem it needed new coolant anyway. Took my car over to Jim's Auto repair to have them check my A/C as I no longer trusted Peters Auto to fix my A/C. Jim's auto repair checks my coolant in my S-Type Jaguar and it doesn't have any fresh coolant like my bill states. My radiator is filled with water only. No coolant of any kind whatsoever. I paid Peters Automotive Repair $39.99 for water. I originally took my Jaguar there to Peters Auto Repair to fix my A/C and they couldn't fix it. Peters Auto Repair didn't know how. They accepted the job to repair my A/C on a Jaguar knowing very well that no one at that place is qualified to work on a Jaguar. When I got my car back from Peters Auto Repair I had 18 codes coming up on Jim's Automotive Repair scanner. Not only wasn't Peters Auto Repair unable to fix my A/C but because they don't know what the hell they're doing over there they screwed up my Jaguar and gave me my car back with more problems than when I first took it in. That place is a nightmare. I will never ever go there again they cheated my out of $40 for coolant and did more damage to my car trying to repair my A/C of which they ain't qualified to do. Jim's Automotive found the problem with my Jaguar. It was a simple programming issue needed for the control module that sends commands to my A/C. Don't take your car to Peters Automotive. If you do don't say you weren't warned. read more

Absolute nightmare!!! Dropped my daughter's car off to get the throttle cleaned and when I arrived to pick it up the the entire hood had been misaligned!! I was already aware that the latch on the hood was broke which made opening it difficult but for them to totally destroy the alignment of the hood while trying to open it and then lie by saying it was like that when we dropped off was insulting to say the least! I wanted to get the latch fixed and would have paid them to do it but instead of admitting that they created a new problem they lied and said it was already like that. To make matters worse, instead of the manager asking how he could resolve the situation and use this as an opportunity to practice customer service 101 he chose to insult a paying customer by calling us liars!!! I had absolutely nothing to gain by lying about something like that!! But because one of your employees damaged my vehicle you chose to cover for them and insult a paying customer!! Please save yourself some unnecessary grief by avoiding this unethical so called business!!! I will take my money somewhere else to fix the lock on the hood and now the extra damage caused by one of your employees!! You will never get another dollar from me or anyone in my family!! I've been bringing my cars here for the past 3 years even though I live +50 miles away. This place is very honest and they do deliver as promise. I was so satisfy on my last visit that I was compelled to write a good review. After taking my 2006Jeep Commander to Pep Boys (they are 15 minutes from my house) for a routine oil change I told them that my differential was making a loud noise when I release the accelerator and to please check on it. After paying an additional $20 to Pep Boys they came back and said that I would need to completely replace the differential and that it would be in the thousands. I took it to a local shop who quoted me $2200 to replace it. A few days later I was stranded and unable to push my Vehicle to safety. I had AAA tow my car to Peters and after it arrived to Peters auto repair I was given a new accurate estimate. Pedro and even the young employee reached out to me to tell me my new estimate. $408 for labor and parts. There was no need to replaced the entire differential like I had been told from two different places. The Jeep runs smoothly and I didn't have to spend $2200. The repair was done the same day. This is not the first time Peters auto has beaten other estimates. This place is definitely worth the drive. read more

This car shop is in association with Key's Motors aka STG AUTO GROUP a very popular car dealer that sells bad cars. Thomas works with the dealer, they don't fix the cars they just make them sellable. The cars are advertised saying they have no issues, then when the cars breakdown or mess up the dealer blames the mechanic. The mechanic says he just did what the dealer paid for. I took my car in because it was running hot and I smelled something burning, I was told I needed a water pump and thermostat that was $380 the dealer paid $200 I had to pay the $180 for this car with no issues. I pick the car up an on my way home the check engine light comes on, I let the dealer know he tells me take it back to the shop. On my way there my car starts smoking. I pop the hood antifreeze everywhere. I let it cool down poured some more antifreeze in an took it to the shop. Now I'm told I have a cracked radiator that was the burning smell. So the dealer has them replace the radiator. Now I pick my car up again but when I get there my car is making a sound it wasn't making when I took it to the shop. They told me this sound is normal, and I'm like my car now sounds like a tractor. Then I get in my car to see the check engine light is still on an now it's even running different. They tell me the car is fine. So I tell this dealer I bought the car from an I'm sent back to the shop to see Thomas who informs me he can check an see what's wrong with the car, he only did the work the dealer told him to do the car was never checked. So he puts the car on the machine an tells me now I need a catalyst converter. The dealer no longer responds. I would never advise anyone to do business with them. They know this dealer is shady an they are helping him sell bad cars. But at least they offered to cut the check engine light off. I would have never bought the car had they not turned off the check engine light. The better business bureau will be hearing about this. For all I know they work together coning people out of their money. I wish I could give this place no stars. read more
