He mentioned that hydro jetting will probably be the next step within the next few months or before the end of the year, which honestly made sense. I'm pretty sure the previous owners poured grease down the drain over the years and didn't maintain the house very well. He also explained that pipe replacement may eventually be needed down the line, which I actually appreciated because it gives us time to prepare and start saving for that process. Another thing I found really helpful was his suggestion to purchase extra flooring planks now while they're still available, since matching flooring years later can be difficult if pipes ever need to be accessed under the floor. Our plumbing bills typically run between $20k and $30k per year. we started using Rob and Austin in Nov 2025 with seriously mixed results, ranging from on-time and fair, to complete failure to return calls and/or show up. most recently they charged us $425 to replace a new valve and a couple 3/4" nipples that feed a water heater. when asked why it was my fault that they did not have a standard 3/4" brass ball value on the truck, rather than a constructive dialog the conversation decivilized, ending with him accusing our on-site contractor of 20 year of lying. truly unbelievable. nobody needs that in their life. there are simply too many options to put up with folks that have a chip on their shoulder, and everything is somebody else's fault... nothing to see here. move on.

Then, AFTER he finished installing the new disposal, he told me I needed a new air gap (which was clearly obvious even to me before he came so he must have seen it then), but only LATER told me that needed replacing, $75, and he had to go to Home Depot to buy a new one. It took him almost 3 hours from start to finish. Cost was $760. Now, 1 week later, I woke up at 1 a.m. and found dirty water on my kitchen floor in front of the garbage disposal cabinets. I opened the cabinets and found my large plastic container that held supplies was FILLED WITH the DIRTY WATER to the RIM! I called SoCalPlumbing at 2am hoping they could send someone out to fix on an emergency. Joseph did call back, seemed undisturbed, no concern at all, and said they will try and have someone out 9a-10a, that it was a "quick fix". I already had problems with the extended time the installation took over what I was told in getting this installed, so was already very stressed, especially since I had to at least clean it up the outside floor myself, and am worried about the wood/pressboard base insidegetting ruined also.

Tony was assigned to us and my partner told me this is going to be our guy from now on. There were a couple other people with him as well, but Tony definitely stood out to us. Tony goes above and beyond to make sure we are taken care of. He is very acknowledgeable and we feel that we can trust him and this company. I really appreciated that their price didn't change after an in-person visit to our house, which happened with ALL of the other companies. They used a trenchless Perma-Liner system to reline our pipe, so they didn't have to tear up our yard. It basically creates a new pipe inside the old one which is pretty cool and is supposed to last forever. They even carefully dug up a hedge and replaced it when they were finished and it looks like it's going to survive. They also installed a new cleanout and fixed a pipe offset that was causing problems. All of this only took about a half day and everything seems to be working perfectly. The crew was friendly, showed up on time, and were easy to work with the whole way through. We would definitely use them again and highly recommend them.
