Really really yummy sandwich! The worker made my special sandwich EXACTLY how I wanted it ! Tasted perfect! He cares about his craft! The owner at the register was really friendly and welcoming. I'm glad I was not in a hurry and was able to sit there and take my time to eat my lunch. It was nice to take a breath have a seat and enjoy the food !! Will recommend and will be back

Holy moly. I randomly walked in to grab a quick lunch since I was in the area. That was the best BLTA sandwich I've ever had. And that's without cheese. Crunchy, full is garlic sauce. I will be back to try the rest of the menu. Great service !

Calling all deli sandwich lovers! Huge sandwiches completely loaded with deli meat and toppings. It's always so fresh and delicious when i come here. The wait varies on the crowd, but it seems like they work fast and efficiently. Huge sandwiches so come hungry!

I have been here a few times before and I have to say the owner of the shop is very nice and super sweet. I am assuming he is the owner but he's very nice when he answers the phone and when he talks to you in person, he has great customer service and very enthusiastic. I definitely love coming here because of the service is fast and they are super kind and grateful. The food is delicious especially their sandwiches. I usually get something super simple like a Dutch crunch with roast beef with the special sauces, including mayo as well and red onions, which is super basic but it taste absolutely delicious. I honestly would rather come here than Little Lucas. When I save my sandwich for later, it never gets soggy, but when I go to Little Lucas and order the same sandwich and save it for later, it always becomes soggy. I would definitely recommend people to come here. It is super convenient and delicious and the customer service once again is absolutely top-tier. They do take Apple Pay if you were wondering. The ambience inside is super quiet very nice. Everyone's just enjoying their nice lunch. It's very beautiful inside and it's jampacked with a lot of great items. You could buy on the side soda selection, and beverage. Selection is great as well. Very nice and cold highly recommend locals or anybody who's looking for a delicious sandwich shop to come here Not only do they provide sandwiches, but they also provide pasta and pasta sauce and other good things on the menu. Thank you, Leonardo. Staff are working super hard and always being attentive and making my lunch break Absolutely amazing. The food is always delicious.

Really good Italian sandwich on a Saturday morning, great proportions with the bread, meat, and veggies

I walked by this place for years and always thought: "I should really check that place out!" Well, I finally did and I'm sad that I didn't listen to my inner voice sooner! This local business has a neighborhood feel. We ordered the Niner sandwich and I think it was one of the best roast beef sandwiches I've ever had. The meat was so fresh, juicy, and tender. I also loved the ladies behind the counter who made our sandwiches -- they were so adorable! We also picked up some gelato from the refrigerator for home and, as an added bonus, the owner also threw in a little container of his homemade pasta salad for us to try, which paired nicely with our sandwich. We'll definitely be frequenting this local spot!

    No way I could finish

Wow! So I stumbled upon this place from googling deli at the airport and then hopped on a bus to get here and walked in the rain and I would do it all over again! This place is fantastic! I came in and they have everything and anything you could want. The atmosphere is so relaxed and feels like I've been here a million time and it's just my first. Better than the atmosphere is the food I ordered the Vincent B sandwich for sit in. They told me to have a seat as they made it, while waiting the gentleman came over and gave me some of their homemade Italian wedding soup which was delicious. Then my sandwich came and wow, this thing was huge and even came with some Mac salad. After slowly savoring my sandwich I had to try the Mac before I got too full and once I started I could not help but finish it. Needless to say there was no way I could finish this gigantic sandwich and I will be taking an entire half with me.

I never knew about this place until I saw it on UberEats. I love great sandwiches, and it being so close meant I had to try. I think I went with the #2 sandwich and something similar to it which was Warrior and Yankee Clipper, both on dutch crunch. I ate the Yankee Clipper first and damn, it was bussin' (sooo good!). The bacon was super tasty and crunchy (but not hard) - and the whole sandwich seemed to disappear in front of me haha. The next day, I reheated and had the Warrior sandwich - which was still a great sandwich but I did miss the bacon in the Yankee Clipper. No regrets though, maybe the Warrior would have been better right? Overall, delicious sandwich, great location for those in Millbrae, and it seems like the shop is locally owned so it's great to support small businesses :) Thanks Leonardo's!

Great sandwiches in Millbrae's service is quick and friendly. The sandwiches are huge for the prices you get. So it's the best deal in town and you'll be full eating half a sandwich and rolling out the door if you eat the full sandwich. Lots of great selections to pick from or you can create your own sandwich to your liking. You can't really go wrong since everything quality meats. You can eat inside or outside on the patio or take it to go too. Will be back to get my sandwiches here

I loved this sandwich! Very meaty. Not a traditional kraut- I'm guessing they added their coleslaw. No Russian Dressing. My order was made fresh and didn't take too much time.

    Giants Sandwich ($13.99)

Leonardo's Italian Deli & Cafe is an amazing sandwich spot. It's a local business definitely worth supporting because their sandwiches are just as good as any other top tier deli shop. The ladies working there are also super nice and provide great customer service. The store definitely has a very homey type of feel. Also unlike lots of sandwich shops this one you can eat in-store and you can pay after you're done eating. I got the Giants Sandwich ($13.99) for myself personally because who doesn't eating local menu items named after sports teams. Too bad the baseball team isn't as good as this sandwich is. This sandwich was a 10/10. It was loaded with the perfect amount of ham, salami, mortadella, provalone cheese, and their garlic sauce is so good. You can definitely get full easily after eating half a sandwich. You can also get your sandwich toasted and it is perfect after toasting them. You also get a side of potato salad which is a nice bonus as well. If you're in downtown Millbrae this is definitely the best sandwich shop to go to.

We came around 6pm and requested to be seated near the television because my husband wanted to watch the basketball game they had on. The host said that those tables are for reservation only. However, he was willing to let us sit right below the tv. For food, we ordered: -the vongole pasta: super flavorful white wine sauce with plenty of clams and mussels. This is our favorite dish to order here. -the spaghetti with homemade meatballs: very disappointing with the meatballs that are supposed to be specially made here. They tasted very dry and the sauce was very watery. Here's where things went wrong: The complementary bread and garlic dip are usually so good. But today, the sauce tasted completely off...the garlic tasted and smelled like an old, wet rag..but my husband continued to eat it. When we got home a few hours later, both my husband and I started to get really bad stomachaches. I ended up puking and basically the both of us got food poisoning. It's odd that the host was saving the tables for reservations when no one even came at the time we were there. Service was good and attentive. The food, however, is not how it used to be. Probably won't be coming back again.

The hostess and waitress were both very nice & lovely. What I didn't really like was them telling every table when getting seated that they're putting a 1 hour limit since it was Valentine's Day. It just felt distasteful but we also didn't feel rushed out. I think it started getting really crowded around 6:30. The tables were also very close together, I think they tried to stuff as many tables as they could since it was Valentine's Day. There wasn't a lot of room in between tables to even go to the restroom. We were seated near the entrance as well so I had people bumping into my chair whenever they came in. We ordered the Gambas Al Ajillo, Paella and the short ribs. Gambas Al Ajillo: good flavor, a little spicy/sour but was just a little bit too salty. Paella: This was really good, but not the best i've had. I still prefer the paella from Picaro. There was a lot of toppings but I feel like there wasn't enough rice. Short Ribs: These were good, but I feel like it was expensive for what you got. It came with potato wedges and mixed veggies. Some of the meat was also a little bit tough, but the other pieces melted in your mouth. Overall, I would come back! Staff was very friendly and attentive and the food was good.
