Food: Warm and yummy. The cinnamon was my favorite and the haupia my husbands. Service: It was ok, not friendly. Ambiance. It's a food mobile in a mall parking lot. There's no tables or seating outside. It's good for a grab and go.

Leonard's has a main location usually with a line down the street and several trucks for a reason. We stopped at this little tasty truck on the drive home from the bay. These tasty likely malasadas are like fluffy little pillows of delight. The price is fantastic for a tasty likely pastry that is fluffier than a doughnut. We got an original and a cinnamon sugar. Service was friendly and quick - took us about 2 minutes . These remind me so much of my grandmas faschnughts she used to make on lent. These send me down memory lane. They were hot , fresh, warm , and decadent. Mine was gone in about 2 minutes because it was so yummy. Tantalizing tasty treats! Highly recommend it will satisfy that sweet tooth!

Malasadas taste amazing when they're hot - this is definitely a shorter wait than the OG one, the truck still has some good choices whether it's filled or not. Quick service and malasadas came out shortly after ordered.

~ Save the long wait ~ In a parking lot across Target! They don't have the famous sign but the sweets taste exact same. There's no seats but there's lots of space to stand to eat and chat.

These are the best! Piping hot and fresh. Stayed warm all the way to the west side. Service was friendly as always. Open during the flood warning and a small awning kept me dry while I paid. No outdoor seating at this food truck, so take them to-go and find a nice spot on the beach. A must have if you are on the island.

Sadly this truck will be leaving here after all these years. Richard the worker was saying that the owner Leonard came back to Hawaii and will be relocating this truck to Waikiki. NOOOOO PLEASE DONT TAKE THIS AWAY. WE NEED IT HERE

Go to their main bakery in Kapahulu for more treats!

Been here a number of times since returning from the mainland after 43yrs. The truck has been here in the Windward Mall parking lot for as long as I can remember in the corner along Kam Highway across Central Pacific Bank & Haiku Road. They serve nothing but goodness! Malasadas plain or filled with creamed fillings. The quality is light & fluffy & you can get a sugar high! The only dislike is you have to use a credit or debit card. No cash payment allowed! The food truck is old, but gets the job done. Go see them for a fantastic sugar treat!

Malasadas Malassadas a Portuguese dessert brought into Hawaii in the late 1800s and is now considered as a local dessert in Hawaii. Malassadas, meaning undercooked, is served with a doughy center making them chewier once deep-fried then covered in sugar. $1.85 a piece you certainly do not want more than two and that's of you can handle a heavy/dense donut. Please give them a try. They are a Kama recommended stop during tours.

Leonard's malasadas are heaven!! We were on our way to our tour and thankfully found this location on the way. It was in the corner of the Target parking lot and would have never guessed it was there. It was early in the morning and there was no line. We got 1/2 dozen of assorted flavors, some of them filled. Each one was covered in sugar and nice and warm. The dough is perfectly soft. We liked the haupia filling the most out of the puffs. And you can't go wrong with an original or cinnamon either. Definitely the best malasadas out there!

When in Hawaii, what do I have to try? Malasada of course! Leonard's is one of the most popular places for it. This specific truck is located in a parking lot within a plaza. Plenty of parking spots. They offer plains and with fillings. I got 3 plain sugar, 2 haupia and 1 custard. The malasadas were made to order. They came out fast, hot and fresh. They were delicious. The plain one was a bit dense but still fluffy and soft. For the filling ones, the ratio was just right. Eating the malasadas will get super messy so prepare tons of napkins :) **Debit or Credit Only**

2nd time trying Leonard's! First time at this food truck location. Phone seemed to say Leonard's was in the mall but finally corrected to show the corner of the parking lot where the truck was. Ordering was quick and easy. Prices have remained reasonable despite inflation everywhere. Malasadas came out crazy hot so we had to wait awhile to eat but at least we knew they were fresh haha Not much shade cover in the area so be prepared to wait out in car or stand in sun a bit.

Every malasadas wagon can be found in the corner or on the side of a lot. Why is it? You can't miss this red and white truck! Dont waited upon immediately if there is a line or crowd waiting for their order. But this location makes your malasadas fresh, nice and hot, and only this one rolls a lot of sugar on it! So yummy! sorry, I left no pictures of my goods, but I know I'll be returning again! Friendly service and bring your debit card. This location doesn't accept cash.

Delicious malasadas! I have tried all of the flavors- custard, dobash (chocolate), and haupia (coconut). I like how the filling stays thick and custardy- it doesn't melt from the warmth of the malasada. They come out hot, though there is a bit of a wait. Well worth it! Texturally these are breadier than a yeast donut. A crisp exterior with an airier interior- bigger than I remember them being. I've been to the larger Leonard's location on Lumiaina St many times and their malasadas have been very consistent. I do prefer Manuela's malasadas, but these are still amazing! Overall, I would highly recommend Leonard's!

They're open from 6am-1pm, and by the time we got there, a few items we wanted to try were already sold out. If you have your heart set on something specific, definitely come early. Cash only!! One of the sweetest parts of the experience was the owner -- a sweet older lady who takes your order herself and carefully packages everything up for you. It feels very personal and old-school in the best way. Here's what we tried: Long John - The star of the show. It's served chilled and doesn't look like your typical long john. The donut itself was light, pillowy, and slightly crispy. The texture contrast was perfect. We'd honestly come back just for this. Mochi An Pan - Really good. The mochi had that satisfying chew, the red bean wasn't overly sweet, and the bread was soft and fresh. Mushroom & Onion - Savory and comforting. The cream sauce was flavorful and paired well with the soft bread Ham & Cream Cheese - This one was a bit too dense for us, likely because of the cream cheese topping. Not bad, just heavier than we prefer. Parking is easy and plentiful since it's in the same lot as the movie theater. Overall, such a cute local bakery, make sure to come early, bring cash, and don't skip the long john.
