This is a super hole in the wall place with surprisingly nice ambiance in December! Grab a table and enjoy the view of 'Āhuimanu stream as it exits to the ocean. We had the satay chicken, which had a really delicious peanut sauce and pad Thai; which was a bit too sweet for my taste. The woman working the front was really nice and gave us some extra turon (banana lumpia) with coconut (that was delicious!). Swing next door to the shop to grab drinks if you don't see something you like.

Not a fan.....not tasty! Not memorable! Palatable but do not recommend. Coming from the mainland I am insanely fortunate to have been exposed to good Thai food and having visited Thailand dined in authentic cuisine. Ordered a Thai tea ($4) and it was one of the most disgusting drinks I ever had with a bitter/spoiled taste. We also ordered Pad See Ew and Garlic Chicken each priced at $17 but hardly worth $3each. Save your money and go Hawaiian!

After visiting the Byono-In temple, the family wanted some Thai food and decided on a small food truck on the side of the road. Also, shout out to food trucks all over Hawaii, since they seem to get a lot of yelp spots. Everyone enjoyed their food, we ordered garlic shrimp, green curry, papaya salad, sweet chili shrimp and shrimp pad Thai. The family was happy and so was I. Just a side note, they actually had a couple of restrooms in back, primitive but clean, I was thankful to say the least. This was a very nice find here in Eastern Oahu. Maybe you'll stumble on it some day.

I highly recommend the pork chops here. We come here specifically for the deep fried pork goodness. Tommy is the owner and super friendly. Please note it is cash only. There is seating and unofficial parking in the dirt lot. You can choose jasmine or sticky rice with your entree. Step up to the window to order. Happy eating.

Veggie pad thai but it really was veggie pad SA ew

So disappointed in the food. We saw other reviews and were very excited to give it a try. We got vegetarian pad Thai (they were out of tofu), the spring rolls, papaya salad (medium spice). The pad Thai was actually pad SA ew. The noodles were thick and was a little soggy. It tasted good but that's not what we ordered. The noodles to veggie ratio was way off. I wish there would've been more noodles. The spring rolls might've been the best thing we got but this was just an appetizer and we aren't basing this review only on a good appetizer. Serviced with sweet fish sauce dipping sauce. The papaya salad was such a huge serving but tasted so bland. Couldn't tell there was any spicy heat in it. Also could hardly taste any fish sauce or lime or any other flavors that you would get from papaya salad. Such a disappointment.

This hidden Thai food truck is located by the Kahalu'u convenient store across of 711. There is parking under the tree right in front of the truck and some benches to sit and enjoy your food. I made a take out order or chicken pad Thai and chicken panang curry. My food was ready in 10 minutes! All their plates are only $11 no tax, cash only. So for my two items I paid only $22! It is such a deal for the amount they give and the food is tasty!! The curry comes with some jasmine rice and lots of curry sauce plus vegetables in it. The pad Thai had so much noodles and the entire container was full to the top! I would definitely recommend this truck and plan to come back to try their other dishes. You really can't go wrong for $11! The man and woman who helped me were extremely friendly too! :)

Came here for lunch b/c the hubby wanted to pick up food from the food truck vendor who also parks in the same area. Loved the pad thai (very generous serving!) and friendly owner, however, I was a bit turned off by the fact that he was not wearing a face covering.

    Penang curry and sticky rice

Great food, excellent service. The owner is one of the most genuinely kind people I've met while trying different Thai food places around island. Very good quality food and you could taste how fresh the veggies were in the curry. He was very insightful for food choices and tips. He was very welcoming which isn't always common. They're worth a stop if you are craving some Thai food or a good experience. Can't wait for my next time to drive across island to try something else on the menu.

Golden Pho is a treasure. This owner-operated restaurant makes you want to come back for more…read more That's not great for me since I'm a townie and Golden Pho is located in Kaneohe. But if I'm on the Windward side, this is my go-to, all the time. They have one of the most extensive menus I've seen in a Vietnamese joint--everything from bahn mi, to udon noodles, to curries, to pho, to noodle soups, to appetizers, to à la carte entrees, to desserts. There is something for everyone and it gives me reason to keep coming back to try different dishes. So far, I had the shrimp udon (but slurped that up so quickly I didn't get a picture), papaya salad, lemongrass tofu vermicelli, and shrimp summer rolls. Hubby enjoyed the Pho, MIL adores the pork udon. Came here on a date, with the MIL, and with friends. Received great service each time and devoured all our dishes with delight. Not one thing to complain about. Also love their variety of sauces available on the table--don't even have to ask! The coffee was delicious too. I had it black and it was rich and smooth, no bitterness at all. And I split the fried banana dessert with friends (avoided the ice cream)...which I should mention I'm pescatarian and I avoid dairy. Love a place where I can enjoy my meal along with the company of my meat-eating, dairy-drinking loved ones. Again, something for everyone. Parking is on the side of the building. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Restrooms are very clean. Worth the drive to the 96744 zip code. Will definitely be back soon!

I'll get down to it so you can logistically plan your visit :)…read more Parking: Free - right next to the restaurant. Inside/Outside Seating: Tight seating inside but it felt cozy during the rainstorms we've been having. They also have beautiful outdoor seating too. Definitely a nice homey gem to take someone special. Food: this place is definitely underrated. The vermicelli, pho, stir fried udon, all bangers. Theres only such a handful of super good food on this side and I'm definitely adding it to my list. The food is simple no frills but it tastes like a nice homemade meal with love. I really appreciate that they don't load half of the vermicelli dish with veggies. Instead, they gave us the veggies on the side. Service: Friendly Mom and Pops ran establishment. The owners actually have several other locations in town called "Pho Viet" but each is equally as tasty in my opinion. Overall 4/5 because I've tasted the best of the best and this is close!

This visit we ordered the Combo #1 Garlic Ulu Noodles with Portobello Mushrooms and the #4 Lechon (Pork Belly) with Malunggay Noodles. There were four of us with three little ones and this was enough to feed us all! The noodles were cooked perfectly as always, with great texture and flavor in every bite. A little tip: I always order ahead and time my arrival, just in case there's a long line. It makes the experience even smoother and lets me get straight to the important part, eating! Also, Adela's is takeout only. The good news is there are plenty of nearby spots where you can stop, eat, and enjoy your meal while taking in the island atmosphere. I wish I had remembered to take pictures of the food before we devoured it, but it disappeared way too fast. Thankfully, I did get a photo of the desserts display, which are every bit as amazing as the noodles. We tried the Ube Cheesecake and Passionfruit Cheesecake this time. Both were fantastic, but my favorites so far are still the Ube and Guava cheesecakes. Definitely put this place on your list of places to eat while you're here. The handmade noodles alone are worth the trip, and don't leave without dessert!
