This is one of the best restaurants I've experienced in the Springfield area and I am very picky when it comes to my food. I've always been highly satisfied with whatever I've ordered. Everything is fresh, authentic and made from scratch and you can tell the difference. Tenderloin tips, chicken parm, fried calamari, mozzarella balls, and pescatore with red sauce over linguini pasta are just a few of the wonderful dishes that I've tried and loved. read more

I love the food at leone's, I love the service and I love the atmosphere , however the drink choices are disappointing. We came once in the spring time and ordered a frozen margarita and was told that the blender was broken. A group Of us decided to give it a try again Thursday night and the bartender told our wonderful server that they were out of raspberry mix. We left once again without our frozen drinks. Bland food cooked badly! The bruschetta was made with celery!?! - served on Texas Toast - impossible to eat properly because of the height. The tortellini soup had fresh chicken broth but was severely under-seasoned, making it very bland. The Pollo Domani was horrible - uncooked tomatoes, the sauce had no flavor and no taste of Gorgonzola like the dish calls for, the chicken was over-cooked and had no flavor; the whole dish was not cooked in one pan like it should have been. My guess is that the Chef who cooked my meal is either an amateur or a smoker with no taste left in his pallet. Unimpressed! read more

Ive been coming to leones for over 15 years. When I sit in the bar area and eat the service is VERY GOOD. However when I sit in the dining room the service tends to be VERY SLOWWWW. The Food is usually a B or B+. I don't like the half round tables in the dining room, feels like I'm right on top of the next table. Last visit I noticed a 3.00 charge on the bill for BREAD. This is just a crazy way of doing things. Nobody does this. It just pisses off the customer. Just add the bread price to the cost of the entree. We came here on a Sunday night for dinner. As soon as we walked in the place felt muggy and had a slight smell to it. That wasn't bad enough but the whole time we were eating dinner we were swatting flies away. This hindered our dining experience. Now for the food...we had fried calamari and usually I'm not a fan because most places weigh it down with lots of oil but these had no oil and were really good. My husband and my friend had the chicken wings, they only have one sauce and it wasn't one they liked so that was kind of a bummer, at least another sauce option would be good. My husband and my friend had the Sunday dinner. I will say this it had lots of meat and they're two big guys so they appreciated that. They did say it had too much sauce but over all they would give it 3*. My friend had the lasagna and she loved it, it was huge!! I had the seafood risotto and also loved it. For dessert we had the tiramisu and wow. Very strong alcohol taste so man o man did I enjoy it. Our waitress was great! read more

Went to Leone's Wed. 5/4 at about three in the afternoon restaurant was quite. There was three of us alone in a booth. Once the food was served my son realized his lasagna was cold in the middle. Not only did the waitress never come back to see how things were we had to wait for her to bring the bill. When she asked how things were my son told her about his meal and she asked if he wanted it reheated when we were getting ready to leave. SHE NEVER OPOLIGIZED. read more

I came there specifically ordered fettuccine alfredo and the waitress who obviously knows nothing about Italian food asked me if I wanted marinara sauce on the fettuccine, I said no, I want alfredo sauce for the second time, and then she said do you want the alfredo on the fettuccine, I said on the side please, So not once but 3 times I told her what I wanted she took the order, I drove all the way home to Palmer only to find marinara sauce on my fettuccine. To add insult to injury actually up charged me for the alfredo sauce I never got. I am allergic to tomatoes so I wound up throwing it in the trash. My first and last time coming there. I have been here many times and it has always been amazing. The appetizers the pasta dishes and the pizzas are all made very well and everything is always very tasty. The desserts are always amazing as well. And the waitstaff is always very friendly and attentive even when they are clearly quite busy. Leone's never disappoints. read more

Love their veal parmesan. Their red sauce is authentic and tasty. I highly recommend their catering. The beef tenderloin marsala melts in your mouth, as it should. The chicken parmesan is always a crowd pleaser. And lastly, the Penne Bandiera is a great side for the entrees. Classic and timeless! Always delicious! I have used them about 6 times for events, and they have never been late for delivery! Nice to be able to count on their professionalism! Using them again this May for a Graduation. read more

The food is so good here. We prefer to sit at the bar because the service is always better. The few times we have sat down the service was slow and it took forever to get anything. One of the male bartenders who is always there on the weekends is quick and super friendly so we're always happy when we see he will be serving us. read more

Had such high hopes for Leones after hearing wonderful things from friends. Just left after sitting at a table for 15 minutes with no waiter/waitress in sight, no greeting, etc. Meanwhile, a table 2 down from ours (who was sat after us) already has been greeted with drinks and bread. We ordered delivery last night because some folks in our group enjoy going to Leone's regularly and recommended the food. Unfortunately, the pizza we received (which arrived well after the 45 minutes to an hour time quoted and after a phone call to ensure our order would come eventually) was horrible. When we opened both pizzas we saw that they were overdone but, upon further inspection, they were so burnt as to be mostly inedible. (They were also lukewarm.) We called to alert the restaurant and were given no apology, just an assurance that they would pass the information along to their cook. How on earth does that solve the issue of a restaurant serving food so poorly prepared you can't eat it? Very unprofessional to let food like that leave the kitchen bound for customers. I suppose Leone's figured that it didn't matter if the pizza was awful because we were delivery customers with no ability to send it back. read more

The best part of the dinner was bread and garlic olive oil. Veal Marsala was like rubber, it was served with meat and pasta completely submerged in oily Marsala sauce. The shrimp salad was not fresh and lettuce was bitter. read more

This is my boyfriend's favorite Italian restaurant and one of mine too. They have really good sauce and they have the best veal parm. The apps are good I recommend the fried mozzarella balls. Even the bread they serve before the meal is good with a delicious dipping oil. read more

I want to thank Leone's for providing a negative experience so that I can better judge other dining experiences. The meal I had on 12/29/10 evening was mediocre at best. The meals were higher than modestly priced and not substantial at all. I had the Angus burger that resembled cardboard. But beyond the negative food experience, the wait staff was rude and condescending to the point of insulting. The waitress assured me that the cook took special interest in the preparation. The result was the cardboard meal. At the time of paying the bill my friend and I calculated a more the 15% tip and told the waitress to keep the change. She returned what she calculated was the difference from meal price. I was insulted th be treated like a Rub that I would have made a mistake. I believe her intention was that I should think I made a mistake and correct it by adding more to the tip. I'm glad I didn't suffer the insult until after I left and was saved from being thrown out. They said "We can book it but if a larger party wants it for then, we'll have to move you to the regular dining area." The food is ok, but the customer service is terrible!!!!!!!!! I called in a a delivery order and after no phone calls and an hour and fifteen minutes later, I finally call them to ask where our food is. I am greeting on the phone with a girl who tells me impertinently, "well, we haven't had a delivery order in over an hour and a half. Hold on." I'm then transferred to a manager who tells me that because our card was declined, they did not make the food. And they tell me that the girl who took my phone order tried calling me "ten times." No phone calls were made to my phone by any number during that time and certainly not ten times in a row. Our credit card is linked to our sizeable checking account, which could not have been declined. No apology was made to us and all we got was that it was our fault. Our only option was to come pick up the food, which completely defeats the purpose of placing a delivery order now two hours earlier. This is the third time we have not gotten our food because some ditz at the counter fails to do her job correctly - there is no accountability at this restaurant. Now we will be spending our money on other restaurants that care about our business. read more

Do not eat at Leone's in Springfield, MA. Was seated by the hostess but could not sit down because the table was greasy and there was shredded cheese all over the booth seat. While standing the hostess had to get the buss boy to clean table and left the seat dirty. Horrible waitress and did not seem like she enjoyed working there. This place smells like pee when u walk in and sitting. It is not a romantic place for couples. The menu looked like someone kept writing on it and over priced. The bread and food is disgusting. Worst place to get pizza or Italian food. Waitress never came to fill water or check on us. Disgusting Italian food. Rather spend my money and get better Italian food at Olive Garden by Boston Road or Spoleto's in East Longmeadow. Even Chili's cajun chicken pasta is better than the food at Leone's. Again do not go there too pricey for what the foods worth. Pay the extra money else where.... read more
