Located in Temecula CA. I already reviewed the winery previously. This review is about the restaurant. There is an indoor restaurant which opens until 7pm daily, closes 5pm Sunday. There is also another outdoor eating area. Last time I ate at the members area at outdoor restaurant and had the sashimi tacos. They were ok, I would rate a 6/10. The taco shell texture was unexpected and the taco was really messy. Nothing really to say about the sashimi, just below my expectation. Now the restaurant indoors is really good. I had my wedding rehearsal dinner there for a party of 12. If you have a party of 14 or more, you need to send the pre-selected food items to the manager Robert ahead of time. If you have 13 or less, you can just order there. The food was really fresh and high quality. They took my large party with one week's notice. I called about 9 our 10 restaurants in the area and they had $5,000 or $6,000 minimums or couldn't seat a party of 12-18 (i didn't know the exact number of heads). Wild mushroom appetizer - to die for. a must! i will come back just for this. Brussel Sprouts appetizer - it was good. has bacon. but slightly burnt. Catch of the day - the sauce was a little sweet said some guests. I tried and loved it. Shrimp Scampi Linguini - delicious. get 4 shrimp. Filet mignon - good. no one complained. Mixed greens salad - superb, super fresh Cesar salad - everyone loved this Hats off to our servers for being so attentive and accomodating. Mother's Day's brunch was very disappointing unfortunately. We made reservations for the member Terrace four weeks in advance. Our party arrived there half an hour before our reservation time. The hostess was informed that our party was there; we stopped to do some wine tasting, and came back to the hostess at the time of the reservation, unfortunately, yes, it was busy, but after standing in line for 10 minutes hostess informed us that the table was going to be clean and it was going to be the first table in the terrace for a big group. To our surprise after waiting 45 minutes the table was given to another party of 10 people. The hostess excuse was that they were too busy, there was some misunderstanding in communication, and that she was trying to do the best that she could. It is heartbreaking to see that after being a member for 20 years, we are discarded, set aside, and no value is given to the reservation we had meticulously made ahead of time. We spoke to the manager, and it was the same excuse they were too busy. read more

Pleasantly surprised by this winery - they have one of the best, if not the best, Cabernets in Temecula wine country in my humble opinion (we used to live in Napa and now live here in Temecula, and have high standards for reds). The venue itself is very classy, with refined design and architecture. The view and the vineyard is also beautiful - I really enjoyed sipping on my wine while walking through the grapevines. Shout out to Jalynne, who was super friendly, funny, knowledgeable, and helpful in our exploration of the wines available through the tasting. The food was delicious as well! My family and I are Hispanic. We purchased a $58 bottle of wine and asked if we could be seated in the dining area; we were only going to get an appetizer. We were placed on a 30 minute wait. NOBODY ever came to our table and offered us water or asked us anything, we were completely ignored. Every staff member had a somber, depressed facial expression..staff was not friendly staff all. I looked around and noticed the majority of people were anglo. My family and I felt discriminated. We will never return nor will I give them my business. read more

We used to be wine members at Leoness and we really enjoyed the ambiance, but after several years we let that go. We live locally and decided to go there for our wedding anniversary. I waited at the desk and was ignored by numerous servers before someone finally asked if I had a reservation. My husband was parking the car. Eventually we were seated by a lovely fireplace which was delightful. We ordered a meal with an excellent waitress we knew from prior visits. We ordered salads to start, excellent DePortola kale salad that was huge and outstanding. My husband enjoyed a very good Cesear salad. We should have stopped there! Our entree was a tasteless unseasoned 10 oz. steak that we shared and at $58 it was tasteless robbery! I didn't eat more than 3 mouthfuls. Desserts are usually good there, but not the one I chose. An almond flavored filling in a crust that was almost impossible to cut. This is a location that could be the best dining experience in the area, but when you pay over $200 and share an entree, and the best part is a bottle of wine and the salad, something is very wrong. We had the best experience at Leoness Cellars today--and ended up becoming members before we even finished our tasting! That's how good it was. From the moment we arrived, everything felt warm, welcoming, and beautifully curated. The views alone are worth the visit--rolling vineyards, peaceful ambiance, and a gorgeous patio that makes you want to stay all day. But the real highlight was our incredible wine educator, Becky B. She was knowledgeable, friendly, and made the whole experience fun and approachable. Becky took the time to walk us through each wine with genuine passion and helped us discover some new favorites. Her energy and expertise totally elevated our tasting--she's a gem! The wines here are top-tier--balanced, bold, and clearly crafted with care. We were so impressed with the quality (and Becky's awesome service) that joining the wine club was an easy decision. Can't wait to come back for our member tastings and more great conversations. We had the absolute pleasure of catching Julia Lyons, a talented singer-songwriter, and her brother Jackson Lyons on fiddle during our visit to Leoness Cellars--and they were phenomenal! Julia's voice is soulful and captivating, and Jackson's fiddle playing added such a unique, heartfelt touch to the whole performance. Their chemistry as siblings shines through in the best way. Leoness is amazing for multiple reasons for me. We've been members there for some time but we decided to look into getting married there since we were members there. I will say, it started fine and went down hill for a second. Reason reviews about how wedding coordinator turnover was so bad etc. I made mention to that to my FIRST coordinator. She ensured it wouldn't happen. But it did. And then the second one came and went. And then after not being able to get ahold of anyone, I got pretty frustrated as a bride and blew them up. I finally received a response from a Missy Boulton. She used to be the membership person so I was familiar with her. When she was in memberships, she was incredible with me and my in laws who were also members. My mother in law adored her and Missy one time made a point to come visit our table when we did some wine tasting randomly. Her customer service was phenomenal. I'm a general manager for sales and service in professional sports and I pay extreme close attention to the service I'm provided. And I'll tell you, I'd want Missy on my team. I made sure I let her know my frustration and she did her best to reinsure me things would be good. I was skeptical of course after going through TWO coordinators. I cannot begin to tell you the outstanding service she provided me and my husband and my family. She was insanely responsive. Attentive. And made sure if she wasn't available to answer me, she texted me to tell me that she'd get back to me eventually. Her communication was incredible. I was so close to asking for a refund of everything because of how annoyed I was with the turnover but she absolutely changed my mind and is STILL my point of contact for anything Leoness related. Her and Tommy from catering were my saving grace for my wedding and I still consider them friends to this day. Tommy was also phenomenal with making sure our wedding day went Bflawless. Both of them truly collaborated as a team. If I couldn't get ahold of one of them, the other handled it. An absolute dream team and as someone who has had to manage high level accounts in NFL, NBA, MLB etc. they 1000% met my standard. In my opinion, Missy needs to be more of a manager or higher level executive than what she is now. It's clear what she is doing is working if she's been the longest tenured coordinator since I got married which was in August of 2025 and my planning started WELL before that and I had to go through two coordinator. Leoness would be doing themselves a disservice of NOT elevating her. read more

Leoness Cellars consistently exceeds expectations with their outstanding policies and staff. My initial visit was made memorable by Heidi in the tasting area. She patiently guided me through a tasting and answered my many questions about the membership options. Although I initially needed time to consider joining, Heidi's excellent service was a key factor in my becoming a member. Unfortunately, she was not working when I returned to become a member. Vicki assisted us and noted on our application of Heidi's efforts. In the member area, both Devin and Jeff have consistently provided lighthearted, knowledgeable, and attentive service. Beyond the exceptional staff, the food at Leoness Cellars has been impressive, the grounds and facilities are immaculate, it's always easy to speak with someone when needed (including the manager Dan) and the operating hours are preferable to others in the area that close earlier. I made a reservation at Leoness Cellars a week in advance but when I called to confirm the reservation on the day off, they said they didn't have a reservation under my name or my phone number. Instead of trying to help, the person that answered the phone refused to help or be helpful in anyway. Every ask to find a solution was met with a NO. I always go to Ponte winery - just thought I would try something new. But Leoness Cellars will not have my business after this. I'll also tell my friends and family how horrible the service and how horribly 'accommodating' their host is. I called Ponte after and they were so nice and helped me reserve a table right away and when I got there, wine, food, and service were excellent. So guys, go to Ponte Winery. Came here for a family friend's wedding. Beautiful winery venue. Their catering is good but the menu selected for this wedding could've been better (not the fault of the wedding party itself). We had an absolutely wonderful day at Leoness last Friday. Vicki in the tasting room was so informative and really knows her wines. So much so that we joined the winery's club. If you go to Leoness, make sure you see her. She has been with the winery for over 20 years, is not pushy and will really make you feel at home! Also, have lunch in their beautiful garden terrace. Such a beautiful venue! We were sat on the outer ridge of the dinning room neighboring the outdoor fountain and patio space. Staff were friendly and welcoming as we entered. Our server was super attentive and lovely. Everything we ordered was very well seasoned and portions were just right. We shared their signature truffle hand-cut fries and Brussel sprouts. Our entrees included Duck confit, Spanish quail, and the steak. Every protein was juicy and flavorful. They have an extensive wine list and while they do not offer a cocktail menu, they do have beer. This experience was extremely upsetting. From the moment we walked in, it was clear that the restaurant prioritizes members over regular customers. Staff repeatedly asked guests if they were members, which immediately created an unwelcoming environment. We were skipped for seating and watched another party be seated before us despite arriving first. Once we were finally seated, we were completely ignored. There were no place settings on the table and no greeting. Only menus were dropped off. After waiting about ten minutes, someone finally came by and dropped off water without saying anything. A few minutes later, the manager came over and apologized for the wait. He told us he would help the server and that our server would be back shortly to take our order. After even more waiting, the same manager returned to take our order himself and again mentioned that he was helping the server. By that point, the experience was already ruined. We told him we were leaving due to the poor service. His only response was to tell us to drive safe. There was no attempt to resolve the issue or show any concern. Overall, this was a horrible experience from start to finish. The service was disorganized, inattentive, and dismissive. We will not be returning. read more

The best part of our Temecula trip! We booked the Wine Tasting and Education Tour at Leoness and it was an amazing experience and the winery is just beautiful. Tyler our guide was great in sharing the history of the region and the winery, the process and factors involved in wine making, and all the different blends that we sampled. Overall we tried 6-7 wines that were all delicious while we did a walk around the property, fields, barrel room, and production areas. We loved the experience and will definitely be back! read more

It all started with a wine tasting groupon that I couldn't use and gifted to my cousin in laws in January. Which after being treated so nicely- turned into a monthly membership they generously decided to share. In February- We committed to start using the benefits and made reservations two days in a row on Valentines weekend. Before I start- yes it was busy- but it did not take away from the experience AT ALL. I can definitely see why my cousins purchased a membership- every single employee- every ONE we encountered gave us A++ service. From being promptly seated on our arrival to our friendly waitresses and waiters. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Things of note: On our weekend visit we discovered our member wine tastings can be converted into full glasses of several different wine choices- we can use whilst we eat. Which we definitely took advantage of! AND- ALL of the food was delicious- you can tell they take great pride in the making and presentation of their dishes. The wild mushroom flatbread specifically is a FAV and worth coming back for all on its OWN. Yum, my mouth is watering just remembering! The views are killer and the live music adds to the whole relaxing vibe! They played classic rock covers on the Saturday we were there and Frank Sinatra covers on Sunday. We are proud members at Leoness and have never had any complaints. Wine and food are always the best. However last weekend we made a reservation to bring friends to enjoy our favorite winery and it was not the best experience. We made reservations and were seated an hour later. Once we were seated it was extremely crowded and not comfortable at all. Our server was great and food was good as well but we were disappointed with the wait time regarding our reservation.
