    Strawberry banana cake
    Rose J.

I contacted the manager Greg and stated my concern about the dry cake. He asked if I still had the cake, if so to bring back for a full refund. When I got to the restaurant he took full responsibility and returned my money. We live in a culture where this is not the norm. People want to go back and forth an create a terrible scenario about your customer experience, if you complain, as if you wanted a problem. I am impressed he took responsibility for his product and didn't put blame on me for their quality of food. Kudos Leos barbecue for your customer service!!!. I understand things happen and I will come back to eat here and give your barbeque and cake another chance!

I heard this was the place to go when visiting OKC so I stopped by.... I am from Tulsa and we know a thing or two about bbq This place has a great recipe for greatness!!! It is local, seemed to be family operated, and legendary. A hometown thing that has outlasted many restaurants in the area. It is a black owned business with family roots. As soon as I stepped in, the smell of 'que hit me. It was overwhelming. I was immediately hungry. The place is a small hole in the wall, with minimal seating. We sat at a open table and were greeted rather quickly. It was lunch time on a weekday but seemed rather busy. The waitress explained the different specials and sauces. They also brought me a few sides to test out since it was my first time. The waitress was attentive and kept checking to make sure everything was good. The food wasn't as great as I expected, BUT the cake.......the cake was the star of the show. The cake saved the day!!! and....it was complimentary with every order. I actually saw folks ordering entire cakes. I would have if I wasn't traveling. It was yummy, the one thing I ate the entire thing off my plate. I also asked for extra icing, it makes a difference. I say go, if just for the strawberry banana cake!!! it is worth every penny!!!

To understand the niche that Leo's fills, let's compare it to what it's not. If Iron Star is so-called "fancy BBQ" with fine dining using a knife and fork that you go to for nice occasions, Leo's is the exact opposite. Billed as a "dive" on Guy Fieri's Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives(one of its claims to fame), it is your quintessential Southern BBQ place where you show up, get your hands and face dirty with some delicious BBQ. In keeping with the dive theme, it's located in a shady part of town and as a result I've only been to Leo's for lunch during the daytime. The service is gruff in keeping with the overall feel of the place, but has always been appropriate. I always get the ribs when I come. Their menu is a bit confusing and could use some reorganizing - it's set up in a 5x4 table and you kinda pick based on weight. Because of this I still have to think every time I come in as it's not intuitive. The ribs are delicious, tender and fall right off the bone. I always douse them with a generous amount of their house BBQ sauce which is my 2nd favorite thing about Leo's(1st is the cake). I think it may have some cinnamon in it? Total conjecture, but whatever it is I'm all for it. Lastly, a separate paragraph needs to set aside for their dessert. You need to get their "world famous strawberry banana cake". Although there's a price listed for it on the menu, I've always gotten it complimentary with my meal...either that's an unwritten rule or my server's just been nice every time. The cake is similar to a pound cake and comes with slices of strawberry and banana on top. What really makes it phenomenal is the icing. It's got a hard texture(similar to a Krispy Kreme donut) and has a rich sweetness...I just want to call it Southern crack. The combo of the cake, the icing and the fruits makes for an awesome combination and is the perfect ending after wolfing down a bunch of BBQ. Leo's has and will continue to be my go to recommendation for anyone from out of town who asks what the best local place for barbecue is in OKC. It's history of being family owned and operated since 1974 and consistently serving quality BBQ definitely make it an OKC staple.

Strawberry Banana Cake is da bomb!

Ribs were good, sides were good and brisket had good flavor, but a little too fatty for my pallet.

After some brunch, we decided to try Quincy's since they moved to a new location. First, just so…read moreyou know when looking for Quincy's, it's in a small strip of businesses next to each other without much signage. The most signage was a piece of paper that said Quincy's so keep an eye out. Their choices were pretty slim. They might have had at most 8 different choices, which is fine, but only one of each for a few items. This was about 10am. Their specialty chocolate pastry was really good. It had a good chocolate flavor without being too indulgent. Their blueberry lemon scone was not good at all. Super dry, the flavor was more of flour if anything. I also bought a sugar cookie which my daughter loved, but I just couldn't get over paying $6 for the scone my husband and I didn't care for. Otherwise the other two items were good. No seating, so don't plan to hang around. They also don't have any coffee either at this location.

I love their coffee & pastries! If I could help you choose one pastry their chocolate babka I couldn't recommend more. I'll attach photos! Coffee would be their Dulce miel or ask about their seasonal drinks! Keep in mind It is an open space so people will host meetings or people gather but nothing some headphones can't solve. They also have a patio where you can sit with tables. There's a restaurant and bar also located within the premises would definitely check those out. They also host events or wine nights definitely ask the staff!

Didn't realize all the pastries they carried, including breakfast croissants maybe little lunch…read morebites. They have cloud donuts, all the soft bread like similar to the Mexican conscious that we eat in the morning same I had the bacon cheese croissant so basically it was a croissant toasted with like little bits of bacon and cheese on it and egg like tiny bits, but it was really good and filling, but lie at the same time. I got slices of the cloud cakes for my team for one of their birthdays, but we got different flavors so we can all try. I'm very excited about that mango strawberry mocha blueberry and original. We shall see. I'm guessing they open pretty early and close at 8 PM. They said to come early because they usually sell out by noon, especially on the weekends and Sundays after church very cute little place you can sit in and have a coffee or tea in your pastry Lil nice chat or visit. It's really really really nice inside of there so excited to have visited and will definitely be back regularly. The girl, the lady working there were so friendly and nice explained everything like the details. What flavors what was all inside of it the different textures like very thorough explanation all smiles all friendly! OK so the update the strawberry was so white and fluffy and the frosting is like a whipped cream kind of so light not heavy not too sweet. Oh my God chefs kiss I came back in the evening for some more with my son, the mocha slice does have a good coffee taste slightly. They had a mango flavor. I wanna try and the blueberry was there.

We didn't see any in the case and the my boyfriend asked the guy at the front. He looked in the back and said they didn't have any. My boyfriend asked him about how it says if we order online it can be ready within the hour and the guy didn't seem to know anything about that. He was trying to get my boyfriend's name and going to reserve an order, but said we could come back around 3 or 4 pm at the earliest. I was confused since on the site it says you can order it and it be ready soon. My boyfriend asked him if they can call if it's done sooner than 3pm, so we can know to come pick it up. The worker said that he didn't know if they could call when it's done and if we need a call or text when it's done to just order online. That's a little weird because I'm sure they can call when an order is complete. So we just decide to order online, since that guy didn't seem to know what's going on. We ordered through the website and it tracks everything. So we went and looked at Walmart and by the time we were done it said the cake was almost complete. We called to verify and it had another 10 minutes before being ready. While waiting we did get two of their pastries which were really good. Some custard filled pretzel shaped item and an almond croissant. Both were so good! I took off a star because the guy working could have been more helpful. Maybe he needs some additional training, so he can answer customer's questions better. The inside was clean, but the pastry cabinets were only about halfway filled when we went in and I'd expect them to have more variety of items and be full being that early in the morning.
