Entering, we could smell the good smells of pizza done right, and the general hum of the place told us that it was a happy place. We went for a large pizza, good toppings on it, and it took about twenty minutes to get together. No need for extra appetizers or anything else... a large pizza was more than enough for the two of us, and we took half of it back to our hotel room for the next day (pizza for breakfast is a glorious thing!) If we get back to this area, Waynesville Pizza Company is definitely on our list to return to for a meal.

The crust was wafer thin and flavorless (we did not order a thin crust pie, it just came out that way). The cheese tasted almost artificial. The sausage was scarce. The sauce was flavorless. To add insult to injury, the cost of this pizza was $24. Maybe it was an off night but the restaurant wasn't very busy at the time we came for dinner. I don't know if they are cutting food costs but whatever the case, I do hope they will get back on track. It will be a while before we go back.
