    Brisket Sammies

Four brisket Sammies and three Mac & cheese. We all enjoyed our meals. Counter service was quick. Brisket was tender - 2 chopped and 2 sliced. Bread was soft without getting soggy and it held up nicely to added bbq sauce.

Food here was super duper good!! The brisket melts in your mouth , the turkey wasn't dry it was so juice & the mac and cheese was the BOMB.COM I will say it was fairly pricy but still good

I've been to Junebug's several times this summer, and I cannot recommend it enough. Brisket and ribs are competition level, the pulled pork is moist and delicious, and the sides are slammin. The sauce is outstanding and unique- perfect for Crntral Texas BBQ if you swing that way. Indoor and outdoor seating combined with the authentic BBQ pits (that you can see from everywhere) create a great vibe. One of the historic buildings on the premises contains the Memphis in May World Championship trophy won by Junebug himself. I was last there for a benefit they held for the Kerrville flooding victims, (where they raised $30k) and I've never seen a staff work so hard. Destination BBQ to be certain.

Tried the brisket...1/2 fatty and 1/2 lean...both were equally unctuous and tender. Some of the best brisket I've ever eaten. The fat on my fingers made my hands really soft. The scent of barbecue always acts an aphrodisiac for my husband. The turkey is juicy, moist and tender with a salt and pepper like flavor...simple and delicious. The jalapeño sauce and the regular sausage are equally delicious, but I prefer the jalapeño/cheese. It was juicy and the cheese oozed out of the sausage with each snappy bite. Ah, the ribs are tender, but hold together. They are served with a flavorful glaze that is a perfect balance of sweet and savory. My husband said they were on a par with Memphis's Central Barbecue ribs...believe that is high praise. Their house sauce compliments their meats well with the sauce's notes of what I think is molasses, vinegar and other ingredients that made it the perfect sauce for all of the Junebug's barbecued cuts of meats. Loved the crispy tangy pickles and the Texas size white bread. One slight criticism...the bread was a bit dry on both of my visits to Junebug's. They might want to leave it in the plastic wrapping until served. Overall, you would be doing yourself a disservice if you don't give Junebug's a try. I'm looking forward to trying the baby back ribs and pulled pork on my next visit! It's new to Fredericksburg, TX so GO before the lines get long!!!

The fact that anyone would rate this less than 5 stars is ridiculous!! Free live music, reasonably priced, great service!! Amazing!

I went with the wagyu brisket, hill country sausage, and boudin. It came out to about $45, with enough to eat the next day. I'd say the brisket and sausage were solid, but not really ranked in my personal top BBQ stops. I'm not really sure that the Wagyu title stands out with the brisket, with mine not be particularly fatty or moist. The boudin I'd say was a bit of a miss for me -- it was quite dry, and felt like it had been under a heater for potentially hours before reaching my plate. I'd also say the sauce didn't stand out for there also only being one sauce option, and there not being a plain chip option stood out as a bit odd -- only offering flavored variations. Overall I'd say my experience was good, and I love that they accommodate allergies and are a safe option. It just doesn't particularly stand out if you really start comparing it to every other BBQ you've had

The Neptune was hands down one of the best omelets I've ever had, and the Southern Slammer was exactly what I expected (and more--those green onions really enhanced the grits). I ordered the Eggs Benedict, substituting bacon for ham, with a biscuit and gravy on the side. The Eggs Benedict was good. I loved the unexpected touch of Swiss cheese, which added a nice twist to a classic dish. The hollandaise was a little on the sour side, but the bacon was cooked perfectly. The biscuit and gravy was the real star of my meal, so good that I almost wish I had ordered it as my main! Definitely getting that next time. My husband went for The Big Ass Sandwich and loved it. Fair warning- it lives up to its name. It's big, it's messy, and it's absolutely worth it. He said the same thing I was thinking: we need to come back. We'll definitely be returning on our next trip to Fredericksburg. Highly recommend if you're looking for a great breakfast spot with good food and even better service!

Overall, 1 of our favorite food stops on this trip! Our order consisted of 1 order of bang bang shrimp, 1 spinach & artichoke dip appetizer, a shared seared salmon dish (not pictured), 1 blackberry margarita (not pictured), & 1 blueberry mule (not pictured). For me, the best part of our order was the bang bang shrimp. If I get to go back I'll just order 2 of those & call it good! The spinach & artichoke appetizer was good, but offered a pretty standard flavor profile. The seared salmon was the best salmon dish I've tasted in a long time, paring nicely with the mashed potatoes & roasted veggies that came with it. Both cocktails were amazing, but my wife said the blackberry margarita was fantastic. The most negative thing about GH was extremely limited indoor seating availability & the lack of reservations, but now you've been warned. It was a short trip for us, but we will be back to GH on our next visit to Fredericksburg for sure.
