We tried Sunday Brunch and we were pleasantly surprised. It was a unique and eclectic menu. It was a little cool and breezy so we were able to grab a table in the winery. My husband had pulled pork skillet hash and I had Parmesan crusted grilled cheese and a bowl of tomato soup with basil oil! We loved what we ordered and portion sizes were more than adequate!! We will definitely be back!

Crème brûlée French toast, delicious custard inside a crunchy toast.

My husband and I went to LeRoy's Tex Mex BBQ for lunch while in the area. We parked, and walked to…read morethe restaurant. The parking lot isn't paved but we didn't have any issues. We walked around on the grounds and noticed that there is a separate patio and a bathroom with seating outside. The women's bathroom was clean. Now to the restaurant. We walked in the restaurant and it wasn't very big. You could see the menu on the wall, the ordering counter was close, the food pickup counter was next to the ordering counter, the seating was in the middle, and the bar at the other end. After walking in and checking out the menu we walked up to the ordering counter. The person that took our order was friendly and patient with me. I wanted the El Burger that was listed on the menu but I didn't notice that it's only available on Wednesdays. The person told me that so I checked the menu out again to see what burger I wanted. I decided on LeRoy's Smash Burger which comes with smashed brisket patties, pickles, bacon & onion jam. I ordered mine without cheese. It came with a choice of a side so my husband and I picked the potato salad to share. I also wanted to try the Smoked Pork Belly Menudo which substitutes the traditional tripe meat with smoked pork belly. This came with onions, cilantro, and chopped jalapenos that you could add if you wanted. My husband and I decided to share LeRoy's Nachos which has tortilla chips covered in beans, queso, avacado, pico, crema, salsa, BBQ sauce and jalapenos. These come with your choice of meat and we decided on brisket. My husband ordered one taco to try called Chancho La Panza which comes with pork belly, beans, cilantro, and queso fresco. The Food. LeRoy's Smash Burger was delicious. I liked the flavor of the meat and the jam. The potato salad had a mustard flavor to it which I didn't mind. The Nachos were tasty. The BBQ sauce in them gave them a hint of sweetness in the midst of all of the saltier ingredients. The Menudo was spicy. I wasn't expecting it to be so hot but it was tolerable. The smoked pork belly mixed in the soup was good. There was also a crunchy texture mixed in that added to the experience. I tried my husband's pork taco and it was delightful. There was so much flavor packed into a single taco. Overall the experience was positive. The restaurant was small but comfortable, the service was good and the food was fresh and delicious.

Finally made the trek over to check out Wildseed Farms. We came across this place accidentally as…read morewe were leaving Enchanted Rock. At that time, there was nothing going on and nothing growing so we decided to come back around when spring was happening. So this time around, definitely more popular, more cars and people wanting to check the place out. Essentially I was expecting this to be more of a field of flowers. But, it's basically that (although there wasn't much of it yet, just some flowers to see) and garden decor, pots, gifts, wine, pickled things, plants and LOTS of wildflower seeds to plant at home. The plants, some were decently priced, most were a little pricier. Just depends on which ones. Majority of the ones we wanted were a little better price wise vs going to home depot, at least we think so! We walked around the adventure trail (since it was free) to get some steps in and have the kids burn some of their energy out while roaming around (minus my toddler, she would want to run away and fast haha so I changed my mind on that idea). The trail itself was open, spacious and a great way to get some fresh air. You can be lucky enough to catch some glimpses of some flowers that could be sprouting out even though there's not much! The shops: they had different types of store fronts, one for food/snack/pickled items alongside a small cafe where you can order beer and wine, another for more accessories, clothing and some planting items too! They had standing wine tasting area near the trail walking area if you want to walk around with some wine. Parking: so much parking, so definitely not to worry although I can image it being more difficult when the flowers really bloom in their field.

They also have a store where they sell jams, salsa, and other items. They had a place in the store to try their samples. They have a restaurant to dine and do some wine tasting. We went during spring break. Unfortunately their trail didn't have much flowers blooming.

On the Saturday that we were there, it was well staffed and we were well taken care of. They offer only one wine that is sourced from Texas grown grapes. It's their Grenache/Mourvedre Rose. I thought it was refreshing and good. Just like the Temecula location, most of their wines are sourced from the Central California area. Locals may not appreciate this. However, wines are good. FYI, husband had a glass of Viognier, which he didn't care for. If an upscale feel is more of your preference, you will like Halter Ranch.

When our food finally started coming out, only half of the order arrived, and we spent the next 30 minutes repeatedly asking about the rest with little communication from our server. It was clear the restaurant was not prepared, but what was most disappointing was the lack of accountability. We never received an apology, never heard from a manager, and nothing was done to make up for the experience. Overall, very disappointing service, mediocre food, and warm wine.

Then moved to the Heath Owners Club membership (Heath owns Grape Creek Winery). Then recently, we moved to the K Estate membership (Heath bought K Estate). And they offer other memberships as well. You can switch out at any time. And within each, you can go with reds or whites or mixed. They also make sparkling wines. Something for everyone. We took the Estate tour for the first time this week. They show you where all the grapes are pressed, the wine is made, the casks they age it in, and how they filter and bottle it. Pretty cool. They are a major producer, and all of it seems to be distributed to members. They have an onsite restaurant with covered outdoor seating. You're surrounded by the winery and lots of beautiful plants and trees. Indoors you have your standing tasting experiences. The restaurant food is fine. And it's not exorbitantly priced. They have chatceutery and appetizers (hummus, meatballs) as well as simple entrees. Though they own several wineries and tasting rooms, this is the best of them as a visitor experience. So give it a try.

The confusion to seat members in an open area is laughable as staff members at the first kiosk/host stand struggle reading an iPad, moving customers to a second kiosk, and figuring out what the staff said or did at the first kiosk before seating you. Nobody is trained here to be confident, knowledgeable, and kind. This all happened on Sunday afternoon, May 24th, 2026. In fact, Grape Creek Winery staff members admit that the technology, applications, and process are subpar at best and getting worse by the week. (Who admits this in person to their customers, members, and guests? Grape Creek Winery staff.) Who owns this place? Do they ever walk in undercover to notice the need for improved communications, customer care, and daily sales and membership?
