I've had my fair share of street tacos (and even make my own at home), but this place legit has some of the best flavors I've tasted. Usually you have to load up on salsa or add salt just to enhance the meat not here. You order them exactly as they come!The salsa is absolutely delicious, and the corn tortillas taste so authentic and fresh. And when I saw they had a salad of nopales (aka cactus), I about died thank me later and look up the nutritional benefits! It perfectly complements the tacos. 10/10. If you're in Kerrville, GO. If you're not, take the drive its worth it!

This probably the best taco place in Kerrville. Love the taco box. Have yet to order anything I didn't like. Staff is friendly. Food is fresh and fast.

We've been in and out of Kerrville working on a project, and Taqueria Machetes has officially become our go-to for tacos. The salsa bar is divine--so many great options and everything tastes fresh and flavorful. The Fidelio is a really nice item if you want something a little different, but honestly, you can't go wrong with a straight-up taco here. Fast, satisfying, and consistently good. We'll definitely keep coming back. read more

Taco's Machetes is a hidden gem. Food portions were generous and cooked fresh. Sat down with a pretty big group and our food was ready to go in minutes. The restaurant is clean and spacious. Will definitely make a stop if I'm ever in the area again. read more

This place is sooo yummy! I always get the poblano taco and my husband gets street tacos. We never leave there disappointed. They even made me some guacamole that wasn't on the menu! Great service and nice family owned vibe at this place. read more

Our new place for breakfast tacos! We are so glad to have deviated from the ole usual and tried Machetes. We order the chorizo tacos on corn and they are fresh and delicious. You can call ahead and they'll have your order ready at the drive thru. The owner is very courteous and eager to please. It's so nice to feel appreciated as a customer. I haven't been inside to eat but my husband said it's a very nice atmosphere. read more

They make their tea nice and strong, the bacon and egg taco was good - plenty of egg, crisp bacon, fresh tortilla - and they have a self serve salsa bar with like a dozen different salsas. I'll be back to try more things! read more

This was my second time here. It was so good that I came back for more. It's a modern and clean taqueria. The tacos came out fast and were tasty!! The horchata was so good that it didn't last long. Definitely give them a try!! They have good tacos and they also serve alcoholic beverages. Fast and friendly service. read more

The past two orders through Uber Eats have been unsatisfactory. We live a mile from the taqueria as the crow flies. The uber driver picked up the orders and prioritized a drop off across the river on the other side of town before delivering to us even though we paid for priority delivery. Our tacos arrived cold. The second time, last night, the uber driver picked up our order and delivered to someone else. Taqueria Machete refused to redo our order. The tacos are excellent, when you get them on time as ordered, however the relationship with Uber Eats is not. This is a reflection of the business. read more

We were there for lunch and I felt fine in shorts and flip flops, but wonder if dinner is a different story. The lunch menu was mostly simple cafe sandwiches, salads, soups, and a couple different nachos/chips and salsa/chips and queso appetizer options. The Mexican food were primarily the daily specials the waitress rattled off for us. Speaking of, service was very friendly prompt, and helpful. Our waitress did a great job helping us figure out what we were in the mood for, offered substitutions and chatted us up on where we were from and what we were doing around town. Great staff.
