Seriously awesome bake shop! We ordered my daughter's birthday cake from here. It was a dark chocolate cake with a chocolate mousse filling and a dark chocolate ganache icing. The cake itself was so dense, moist and chocolaty as any perfect cake should be and I probably shouldn't start talking about the amazingness of the ganache icing. We would be here a while. My daughter wanted a princess party so I bought some adorable heart sprinkles and Stephanie (the owner) sprinkled them on the entire cake then she put a cute Happy Birthday banner in the center. It was too adorable! Also, the cake was a huge, double layer cake. So much better than a traditional, one layer sheet cake from the grocery store. It was so delicious I honestly couldn't stop eating it. It certainly wasn't a cake that a person on a diet would want to come across! It was the hit of the party by far! I've also tried some of the cupcakes as well which are also amazing! The dark chocolate salted caramel has definitely been my favorite so far. There is a honey lavender cupcake that I am dying to try out. That just sounds too cool. The cake balls were great too! I hear to King Cake is great so I'm excited to try that one too. After all the hype and positive reviews on yelp regarding this bakery, I decided to stop by to grab some cupcakes for my co workers and I. I almost passed up the bakery because I could barely see their sign since it was small. The bakery itself is small but cozy. I thought they would have a larger selection of cupcakes and sweets to choose from but they only had a few ( 6 flavors but 1 flavor was sold out ). I came around 3:30pm so maybe if I would've came in the morning, they would've been a larger selection. I purchased the 6 cupcakes for $9 deal which was 2 chocolate mint, 2 caramel salted dark chocolate, 1 raspberry lemon and 1 peaches n cream. The chocolate mint was pretty good, I just wish the mint icing was more sweet for my taste. The salted caramel had a nice gooey caramel inside which was a nice surprised. I'm not sure how the other 2 cupcakes tasted but my co workers devoured it so that's a good sign. Service was friendly and nice. They have a really cool ipad system for their register and had an option for my receipt to be emailed to me. I will come back to try some macarons next time. My only small complaint was that the cupcakes were on the tiny side especially for a price of $1.75 each but the taste did make up for it. read more

So last week I was in a rush to get my 83 year old mother a birthday cake to surprise her at her Les Girls lunch which they haven't been able to have in a year since covid. I called here on a MONDAY which must bakeries are closed and order a cake for the next day to be ready by 10AM. I got the Mocha Expresso Cake which was a big hit at her luncheon. Plus I bought a dozen cupcakes of all the different flavors to take to the beauty salon where I was getting hair done so everyone could try the different cakes and it was a hit! After coming here multiple times, and trying different things I can honestly say: one of the best bakeries in BR. I don't give this honor lightly. With that being said. I have tried multiple things including: macarons, coffee, cake slices and cupcakes. All treats are fairly priced, of good quality and best part.... they taste great!! Service- always courteous, attentive and patient (5) Quality- I once had a cake slice cut so beautifully I was in awe. I was expecting it to crumble and it did not. Macarons are ALWAYS fresh, and are so worth the $2 because of their size. This place doesn't look like much from the outside, but every time we go, we end up buying the farm. Everything we've had has been really tasty- baked perfectly. Cupcakes, cake balls, cookies, all kinds of delicious treats can be had here. They really focus on the details and they are doing it right. Great little bakery with delicious treats and friendly people! I wish I had visited earlier. I've lived by this little place for two years and never visited. However, I now have a new go-to for sweet treats. The macarons are perfect. Airy, light, and filled with all kinds of yummy butter creams, some with fresh fruit mixed in. The cupcakes are also really good. I loved the one with lemon curd in the middle, and the Cookies and Cream and Snickers cupcakes were good too. They are mini cupcakes, which is perfect! I picked up some macarons and cupcakes for a tailgate treat and we really enjoyed them. I now know they also have coffee drinks and homemade ice cream sandwiches, so I have two reasons to return soon! read more

These are the most scrumptious and freshest baked goods in town! You can tell they use only the best ingredients and the flavors are amazing. So I was craving some macaroons for a while and while going on recommendations on Yelp I saw that this place had good rating:m. So decided to venture and drive there. The bakery it's really nice smells delicious clean and well kept. Service was really good and friendly. They have quite a great selection of roons options... I got 2 of most of the flavors they offer (granted they are not cheap but they are worth the money) From all the ones I chose the one that I loved the most was The Fruity Pebbles maybe because that's my favorite cereal but it was just perfect. Then the chocolate one (delicious) Salted caramel, Green Tea and pistachio. Also got me a red velvet cup cake I'm super picky about my RV so it was ok not to die for but the icing was really really good. I absolutely hate chocolate cake, but their dark chocolate salted caramel cake is life changing! The only thing I'm not a fan of are the white cakes and carrot cake. Otherwise, the macaroons and dark chocolate salted caramel cake will make you overlook that. On our last order for the cake, they spelled our name wrong, said they couldn't put caramel on top although it's been done in the past, and the message didn't make sense even though that wasn't the message given to them. Every regularly stocked item as well as custom orders are always handmade from scratch with real butter- not shortening. The quality can be tasted in each bite when the silky buttercream melts in your mouth. My personal favorite is the French macarons! They stock more traditional flavors such as Vanilla bean, Almond, Strawberry, and Pistachio; also delicious unique flavors like Fruity Pebbles, Cookie Butter, and Cake Batter. However, since we had move we still made every effort to get a little piece of heavenly delights form Les Amis for our annual trip to St. Francisville. Last year was an awesome Halloween theme Macron we acquired for our trip, yet, this year has been a big disappointment from the reception (lacked the sweet greetings), purchase (lackluster selection and macron size "1/3 of original)and the post purchase (no twine wrapping and so thank you). I not into writing bad reviews and that's the only reason I'm not giving them a 1 star because everyone has an off day. I pray the day we went was an off day and they aren't like that now these days. My review is strictly based on the one amazing, scrumptious and delightful item that I purchased on a hot summer day in Baton Rouge..a lemon cookie sandwich engulfed with strawberry Ponchatoula ice cream. I pass Les Amis several times a week but never noticed it. It's easy to miss but HARD TO FORGET! It was my last stop on a hunt for red velvet cake and though they didn't have that, what I did get left quite the impression. Give me anything salted caramel and I'm happy but this chocolate cake was decadent... so moist. The young lady suggested the red velvet macaroons which i thought was a good compromise especially with the BOGO YELP check in offer. I believe today may have been the first time I tried them and they were ok. It could be that next to the cake it just couldn't shine so I'll try them again independently. My order was beautifully packaged which I appreciated because it was a surprise. Small details are everything. Small bakery tucked away in a strip mall on Coursey Blvd. I got the red velvet and coffee-flavored macaroons, and two different cupcakes--dark chocolate salted caramel, and chocolate cookie dough. I didn't care for the macaroons, but the cupcakes were awesome. They were smaller (priced at $1.75 each) and just the right amount of sweet. For a person like me who likes small desserts, this was the perfect choice. I also got a cappuccino and a latte. Both were good. Very tasty find! I feel like because we hit them up right as they opened that they might have not been fully stocked so I'll have to try them again some time. We tried some of everything they had I think except for a coconut cupcake (I no likely coconut) and the cake balls (too expensive). What we got: * one of every (6) macaron they had available. Very tasty (only one was slightly tough for some reason?). I wish they would've had the salted caramel available because I had heard that was one of their best. * dulce de leche brownie- out of this world!!! Fudgy and rich! If you like cake like brownies this is definitely not for you. * 3 different little cupcakes (chocolate/caramel/bacon, turtle and praline)- all pretty tasty but not my favorite things we tried. The ccb was my husbands favorite. I liked it but lacked in flavor some to me. The turtle was my favorite all around...dulce de leche in the middle and a brown sugar icing. Very yummy. The praline was my least favorite. The icing flavor was a little odd to me. Not gross but just off a little. We also got an iced mocha and caramel latte. The drinks were great! All in all a yummy place that I would come back to. Only complaints would be maybe a little pricey and not overflowing with options.
