BUYERS BEWARE: I honestly hate even writing this...because I USED to rock with Les Schwab HEAVY. Back when they were just focused on tires, they were solid! I was a loyal customer for 13 YEARS dating back to my Camry days. But now...!? Man...what in the Fast & Furious Finance Department happened over there!? Somewhere between selling tires and suddenly becoming surgeons for brakes, suspensions, lifted trucks, oil changes, moon alignments, and probably soon "emotional support diagnostics"...they LOST ME. So boom...before I bought tires for my Tesla, I got a quote from LS. They hit me with a price of almost $1,900-$2,000!! And then came the legendary upsell... "Tire Splicing" for an extra $20-$30 because it supposedly gives "better traction." WAIT...WHAT!? TIRE SPLICING!? Sir...are we repairing tires or preparing the Batmobile for combat!? STOP IT. Meanwhile Costco came through like the people's champion: Same/high-quality tires About $1,200 OUT THE DOOR No Jedi mind tricks No theatrical sales pitch Now here's where it gets GOOD... I take my Tesla in for a simple tire rotation -- which they charged me for because I bought the tires elsewhere -- cool, whatever. My Tesla had around 52-53K miles.ZERO ISSUES.Drives smooth.Mostly highway miles because I drive for a living.No pothole Olympics.No drifting around corners like I'm in Tokyo Drift. Then the tech comes back looking like he just discovered a national emergency talking about: "You NEED new control arms and bushings..." I said...REALLY!? Then he launches into the most rehearsed sales pitch EVER: "A lot of Tesla owners are surprised to find out that even though Teslas are low maintenance...this service is needed." BROTHER...please. That line sounded so practiced I almost expected background music and a smoke machine. Then he hands me a quote for ALMOST $2,000. (See photo.) At that point I'm looking around like:"Is Ashton Kutcher about to jump out!? Because ain't NO WAY." LS...that was THIRSTY behavior.Like "rent due tomorrow" thirsty. Colby told me to come in so he could take a look at it, I said I'd be there in 5 as I live down the street. After coming in Colby was nowhere to be seen. Service was for a courtesy tire rotation/wheel balance. Was unable to make an appointment at the Herndon location so I settled for the Clovis Ave location. Service: Arrived at 10:15am for a 10:30 appt. Was checked in immediately and was advised by the receptionist of an approx 1-1.5 hour wait time - vehicle was in the bay around 10:30am. Was advised, and shown, that my tires needed to be replaced due to tire tread being at 4/32. Technician Julian provided me with 3 quotes should I decide to have it replaced same day or another day. Didn't have the tires replaced that visit but appreciated the honesty. Overall: I would like to highlight technician Julian and the receptionist (whom I did not get her name) for this visit. Julian was very patient with me despite the numerous questions I imposed on him. He didn't try to upsell me anything despite the current situation with the tires. I paid $200 for a tire that I thought they would put it on. nope they just bagged it up and told me have a nice day. UPDATE: June 6, 2025 Spoke with LS management (Coby) about the damaged to my vehicle brake-line plastic tabs and presented him with photo evidence that his technician (Marcos) wasn't being truthful. Marcos lied, stating that it was an existing issue, when in fact, it was not damage prior to being serviced by Les Schwab on June 3, 2025. During the conversation with Mr. Coby, it appeared to me that management Coby was diverting the issue (just as Marcos did). Mr. Coby appeared to be protecting and condoning Marcos dishonest behavior. Mr. Coby attempted to find a way out from taking any responsibilty for Marcos dishonesty. At the end, management Coby refused to redo my alignment and I am fine with that, because I no longer have trust with Les Schwab, muchless trusting them to have integrity and honesty. Mr. Coby refunded the alignment charges, but my vehicle alignment still need to be re-align, because it wasn't properly done by Marcos at Les Schwab. Now I have to find an HONEST and TRUSTWORTHY automotive service shop to redo my alignment. More valuable time I have to wast at another shop. In all, this issue would have not been a big deal if Les Schwab employee Marcos would have been honest from the beginning when his management (Coby) asked him if he damaged the brake-line plastic tabs; Instead, Marcos lied to save his job and there were no sense of responsibility taken by either Marcos, nor management. I called Les Schwab today because I needed three new tires (two front, one rear) after having one replaced by Tesla due to a blowout that required roadside assistance. Les Schwab quoted me $2167 for the three tires over the phone. Stupid me agreed and was asked to provide a credit card for the deposit. I gave them my card and was told I would receive the quote in writing via email and a phone call once the tires arrive at the shop. When I got home 20 minutes later and reviewed the quote, I quickly checked other tire shops since the price seemed high and discovered that Les Schwab charges almost 50% more than Costco, Tirerack, or pretty much anyone else. Costco quotes $506 per tire while Les Schwab quoted $706. They also added a charge of $56.97 for "COMPLIMENTARY COMMERCIAL SPIN BALANC," which I still don't understand why I would even need for my Tesla S. Thinking there must be a mistake, I called Les Schwab to question the pricing. I was told that they can't compete with others. An almost 50% difference is more than just "can't compete." When I asked to cancel the order, which I had placed just 30-60 minutes earlier, I was told that I would lose my $150 deposit. Please do your homework before purchasing here. They will try to sell you cheap discount tires from brands nobody has ever heard of, and if you ask for well-known brands, they will charge you an arm and a leg and force you into a deposit. Unfortunately, I made the decision of coming to this location for a second time. I came in for a tire rotation and brakes to be inspected nothing crazy. I was told the service time was going to be an 1.5 hour on the phone and when I arrived at the location I was told 2.5 hours. I had a stroller in the trunk being that I have my 1.5 year-old with me & we walked to the nearest shopping center to give the employees time to do their work. After the 2.5 hour mark I decided to walk back & when I arrived my vehicle had not been moved. I am not one to leave bad reviews but when this is the second time this has happened at the same location it is a bit frustrating to have your time wasted...especially when you're pregnant have a toddler and it's 103 outside. UPDATED REVIEW TIRE PRESSURE 2 days later is low not happy at all they were so focused on selling me. 700$ break service with a life time warranty maybe they forgot to patch the tire correctly. I am not happy now I am running late to work because my commutes are long and I have to make sure to use the freeway they didn't really explain what they did to fix my tire all they spoke about was preventative measures in the future and the mechanic estimated my tire repair could lasts 5-15k miles and that is not the case...at this point. read more

We have a 35 foot Class A motorhome. We went in to check on availability of getting new tires. Maddie was so knowledgeable of what we needed and the! options we had. They were ordered quickly and we made an appointment for 4 days later (our convenience) and Junior spent lots of sweat effort to put all new tires on and even put a current tire on our 22 year old tire, balanced and all. Absolutely awesome job. This is the ONLY place for great tires, awesome service and very helpful. Very reasonable prices. Very happy customers! read more

Terrible customer service experience. Had an appointment at 10:30am. Entered the building at 10:41am, waited 3 mins to be greeted and helped. Approached the counter at 10:44am. And was told I was past my 15 min grace period and that I would have to get in line as a walk in. I explained that I arrived within the grace period and that in fact I was still within the grace period until 10:46am. She said nothing she could do other than treat me as a walk in. Brought in the car for an oil change and to fix a headlight. No appointment but was told it would take 2-3 hrs. I have been here for 4 hrs and they barely came to tell me that it would take another hr or so because they needed to go get the light bulb . I won't be coming back to this location. Done after 5 hrs. They had told me they couldn't use the light bulb I had brought in , that they had to go purchase one. When I left the place I noticed they had used the light bulb I had brought. I know because mine was already open and was a different brand and color. So yes they lied but charged me for a bulb. read more

Best experience I've had in years, I am one of those people that shop around always looking to get the best bang for my buck. This tire center never came across my radar but when you need new tires it gets very pricey especially today. When I walked in there was only one person in the lobby so it looked a bit empty, not really a bad thing with cove it out the way it is. The one person that was there was super helpful and super nice. The price she quoted me for what I was looking for was already lower than the competition with the same miles rating. They got it done fast and at a great price. I am definitely coming back from my next set of four. read more

Z E R O stars if I could... this place is a scam you guys be weary! I went in for a routine oil change and they told me after that my lower control arm needed to be replaced. It's a very serious matter and I need to get it dealt with right away. Of course, it was going to cost me $800. I have extended warranty on my car, so I figured I'd have it checked out by them since I have not had the car very long (this was already a red sign). I told them I appreciated them assessing it. Asked them if they could explain in detail what exactly is wrong so I can explain it when I turn it in for a warranty repair. They were very vague and couldn't exactly explain it, so I already did not feel confident or comfortable with what they were saying. Two weeks later I get my car looked at, they said there is absolutely nothing wrong with the control arms and asked me who had said that. I explained the ordeal to them, and they told me they weren't surprised and were most likely trying to scam me. DON'T GO HERE FOLKS, TAKE IT ELSEWHERE!! TLDR: went for a regular oil change - -told me I needed an expensive repair, I have warranty with dealer so went to get it checked out - - nothing wrong. I brought my truck into Les Schwab on Herndon Ave. in Clovis, CA. I had a leaky valve stem and told the guy over the phone. He told me there is no way to fix it and you need a new tire. I believed him and brought it in and showed a different mechanic the problem how it leaked. He said yes you need a new tire. I ended up buying all new tires so they had all the same wear. Over $2000!! A month later the valve stem broke again on the new tires and they tell me, ah...no big deal we will replace the valve stem. I asked why didnt you tell me that when I came in the first time. You said I needed a new tire. Basically these guys are liars and will say whatever they need to to sell you new tires. 10/10 always go here. I always get my tires from here, but this time I needed roadside assistance. I had my first blow out ever today. (Yay) I called and Rob answered (don't quote me on his name, I'm sorry if I got it wrong!) told me he'd get back to me on when someone would be out. About 15 minutes later he appeared himself. He attempted to try and patch the holes so I could follow him back to the store but forget it, the tire is done. He said, "okay hold on" jacked my car up and said he'd be back with a new tire and install it for me. Sure enough maybe 10-15 minutes later he's back with a new tire, mounted and installed it right there. Absolutely pleased with the service I received. Thank you Les Schwab!! They place the wrong brake caliper, we didn't notice until we did the service.. we told them, but they said that the warranty was expire..

Had a weird experience I had to inform ya'll about. Today I upgraded most of my suspension at home. Upper/lower ball joints, lower control arms, sway bar end links, shocks, top hats, sway bar bushings and outer tie rods. I changed everything minus the inner tie rods. When it came time to get the alignment, that's out of my scope so I took it in to Les Schwab Clovis off Herndon. I told the representative I needed an alignment because I upgraded my suspension. He asked me several times if I had lifted my truck. I said no, twice but told him I'd only leveled the front for an even stance. I felt he tried to make it seem my upgrades were an issue and said I might need an aftermarket part to align it???? NEVER heard of this being a thing, the keys on the lower control arms were original and that along with the rack and pinion aid in alignment. So right there I was turned off, but figured, whatever he's rambling about wouldn't be explained on an invoice without me challenging it as B.S. A few hours later I get a call saying they had bad news and couldn't align my truck because my "inner tie rods were loose and my rack and pinion is leaking" He said I could do the work myself or I could pay them to fix it. I declined the work and went to pick it up. I figured no big deal, I'll change the inner tie rods and see where the leak came from then bring it back. I come back to a $1,000 quote!!! That took an epic turn. On the invoice there was no mention of loose tie rods only $800 worth of an attempt to sell me a new rack and pinion. reason for suspicion yet again. Got the truck home changed the tie rods ($86-Thanks O'Reillys), then saw the leak was coming from my power steering pump which was above the rack and pinion. I had a small tear in the boot (protective cover over the tie rod) not vital to its functionality. Nothing else. This place has probably scammed hundreds of elderly, women and men who know zero about cars. Sad that during a time of crisis with Covid-19 these guys would try to up sell ANYONE.. Believe me when I say, no one I know will EVER come here to get ripped off. Update: Took my truck to a Les Schwab down the street and got my alignment done for $89 with no mention of loose inner tie rods or a leaking rack and pinion... seems kind of fishy, either the techs at Herndon and Fowler aren't qualified or just trying to up sell the average unknowing joe.. Also it would be easy to sell me an entire rack and pinion for almost $500 when you can just buy inner tie rods separately for under $100. You didn't do me any favors by giving me the option to do the work myself, it is required by law that I approve the quote before you do any further work other than what a customer requests. read more

Fast professional they fixed my tire for free in less than an hour it wasn't a tire I bought from there treated me so well

Had an oil change here and the mechanic who did so only put back in 4 screws on my skid plate causing the skid plate to basically scrape on everything and warp it's shape. Went back to get it fixed and they didn't replace the skid plate, they just reinstalled the 8 screws and gave us an oil change. Just a temp fix that didn't help us out when all we asked for was the screws because we didn't want to go through that whole fiasco again. read more

Went in for new tires, picked up the truck with all 4 rims damaged with scratches and dings. Manager on duty says to come back in the morning when they reopen and they will take care of it due to being late and everything is already closed. Morning manager took a look at the damages and deny that they caused it. This is first time I have to replace my tires. He only admit to damages of one rim. This is ridiculous! Wasted my time and resolution was not given. Please take care of peoples property that was handed to you with care! Now I have to fork out more money to repair the damages you have done!
